Not like typical McDonald's, this place tries to go against the norm. First, the seating area is crowded. Second, it takes a long time to get the food after paying. Third, the buns are squished and the fries are either overcooked or soggy. I thought there are timers for this? Lots of sick young children around so you might as well get take out. I've recently ordered via postmates. They packed the two LARGE drinks IN the stapled bag! They of course then tipped over and soaked everything. WHY on earth would you pack the drinks IN the bag? Do like every other place and get safety/anti-tamper stickers for the lids if you are that concerned. See photos as evidence. What a joke. To top that off, the bacon croissant that was part of the order did not even have bacon, was just a croissant. It's like they didn't even read the order. Stopped at this McDonald's for breakfast while traveling from Pennsylvania to Virginia Beach. It's unique McDonald's as it's inside a small mall type building but the four seasons window room with indoor playground extends outside. Very clean. Friendly staff. The guy at the counter couldn't turn it off so everyone behind me had to wait while the ads played, the menu cycled, and I could read it. Also the art at this location is whack. Large pictures of fresh cut grapefruit. There's no grapefruits at this location, not even like a grapefruit soda. Huge picture of lemon and limes. Again, you can't get them here. So weird. read more

I waited 10 minutes tonight with ONE customer ahead... only to find out I'd have to wait another 10 minutes for crispy tenders. I'm normally very patient, but when there's 1 customer ahead and the staff are all focusing on leaving an hour before closing, you can bet you're going to have an unhappy customer. This week was the 'thank you meal' for educators. I was waiting in line and these 2 school bus drivers were trying to get their free breakfast (they presented their badge) after their shift in the morning. The lady behind the counter was loud and said "we only offer that 6am-8am" some teachers don't go into work until 10am like me. I've been to other McDonalds for the free breakfast after 8am and they gladly served me. It's unfortunate to see them disrespect school bus drivers like that. Prejudice Yes if you are nit hispanic or speak Spanish you are more than likely to get icy treatment at this McDonald's. Today they tried to charge me 79 cents for salad dressing where no price was posted. When I asked to speak yo the manager the 12-year old who was charging me for salad dressing said she was the manager. When I told her she couldn't just arbitrarily charge for something when there is no price listed (by the way if they is no price listed the store can not just make up a price) she said she will update the price list. Then she talked over me when I was explaining the inconsistency at this location on condiment pricing. At which point I just left. Very dirty, dark and a large ant population. My son sat in something that looked like vomit and the tables weren't much better. I complained, only for the lady to clean just one table across from us with a wet rag. You have to ask for ketchup and napkins. Something about rainy days and Mickey D's just go together in my book... or at least that's the excuse I gave my trainer for tonight's insane cheat meal. After coming home from the gym and thinking about what healthy thing I was going to eat, I asked my sister what she was craving and she said "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun!" When someone sings you that song, you know you have to oblige, so I did just that. Luckily, despite all the fighting and fussing by Potomac moms when it was opening up, Mickey D's didn't back down and they opened right down the street in Cabin John Mall (the actual "mall" part, not the strip w/ Giant and CVS). Since it was 8ish and they close at 9, I had to run over there, but the one thing I knew I could count on was that even if I walked in right before closing, I would be guaranteed fresh everything. At least at this location, they never have food just sitting there like some of the more high volume locations do. Fries are always made to order, which is good and bad, 'cause it means I can't stop eating them. The Big Mac's don't have wilted lettuce like some other locations after sitting under the heat lamps. And at this location, they give you any and every sauce you ask for. At other Mickey D's spots, they've become majorly stingy w/ that and won't. Sorry, some of us don't like ketchup and we want to dip our fries in something else. Get with the program, people! I also love how clean this location is. Absolutely spotless! The only thing I would caution you about is coming here after school lets out or on a Saturday afternoon. The line is literally out the door and there is no place to sit inside because it's overrun by kids and their families. But that's cool, 'cause they're cute and stuff. read more

The cashiers there are not patient and sometimes quite rude. I understand this is simply fast food and I am not coming for great service but want something quick. So I still come from time to time even though not quite happy with my experience. Yesterday is like a regular day, the cashier didn't hand over the drink cup because I missed her at the first because I was trying to make the payment. our meal comes with no napkin, no sauce, and a missed item. This is such a good McDonald's! It has the vintage early 90s feel with the wood look tile floor with wide grout. It just feels nostalgic. They're really nice and they bring the food to you if you eat there. I know it's just a McDonald's, but all the more reason why I found this location so impressive.
