Overall, this was a pretty standard Five Guys location. The restaurant was pretty clean, service was fast, and the prices were comparable to other Five Guys locations in the area. Actually, compared to other Five Guys locations, this restaurant is slightly larger. My bacon double cheeseburger tasted pretty good. Although I ordered the extra small fries, they definitely provided an ample amount of fries. Five Guys serves a consistently excellent and juicy burger!! I came here with my sister, and we each got a little burger, which was still very substantial and satisfying. The good news is that they have the calorie count next to each burger on the menu. I also love that you can add any kind of toppings, for no additional charge. I got raw onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup and mustard on mine. The burger really hit the spot! Five Guys is hands down my favorite burger joint. Everything is great on the menu so if you aren't in the mood for a burger than try their cheese dogs which are split down the middle to make sure every bite is delicious. The grilled cheese is fantastic too. They use two hamburger buns squished together rather than slices of bread. If you go over during lunch the lines are generally pretty long so order on their app. As someone who is very critical to app user interfaces, Five Guys is one of the cleanest and easiest apps to order off of. My only warning is that if you are allergic to peanut/peanut oil then stay very far from this place. Their fries (which are delivered in the largest of amounts) are cooked in peanut oil and the restaurant itself has loose peanuts available to munch on while you wait for your food to be cooked. I challenge someone to tell me a better burger option from a chain restaurant. read more

You can never go wrong at Five Guys! BP and I met his family there for a dinner and a percentage of the proceeds were going to Walter Johnson High School that night. I was so excited to see that Five Guys now serves shakes and man, they are awesome! I really liked how all of the mixins for the shake came at no additional charge (well, I think adding bacon would have had a charge, but I didn't see it posted). I went wild! I got chocolate, both Oreo cream and cookie wafer, and coffee! I loved how much it taste of coffee and the little bits of cookie and cream still in the shake. We ordered our burgers and split an order of large fries which were more than enough for four. Burgers were juicy and flavorful and the order was up pretty fast. The restaurant was fairly clean given they were semi-busy and I also like that they have a free style fountain drink machine at this location. What I love about Five Guys is the cleanliness, happy and friendly staff, and of course, the best 5 dollar burger around! During my time spent there, I saw multiple staff members cleaning and keeping things orderly. And they were smiling. It's such a drag to go to a restaurant and see the employees missable. I've referenced Five Guys a dozen times, but never gave them props with a review. Shame. There are about a dozen burger joints that have swooped in over McDonalds and Wendy's on the burger hierarchy in the last decade, and Five Guys has emerged as the leader--they are everywhere. It's funny to see because it's originally a DC place with the first store in Arlington. (If only Little Tavern had been as lucky, DC natives would rule the world!) The Five Guys burger is great. Good bun, and great meat. Take a bite of just the burger and you see the difference from many others. It stands on its own. A good selection of toppings and peanuts while you wait. One thing that is new is the mini order of fries. That is a great option because the previous small size was way too big--that left me either throwing 1/2 away or force feeding myself. I've been to a few Five Guys and the layout for ordering and pickup isn't well designed. The pickup is around the corner which makes for a tight location to stand and meander through the restaurant to sit down or leave with an order once received. Ordered only fries and was shocked it was close to $4 for a small order. I waited an extremely long time behind all other orders except someone received a hamburger only order immediately after ordering. I did notice only one basket in one fryer for fries but saw five baskets prepped for the fryer but weren't in a rush to keep the process going or use the second fryer. The fries were extremely soggy and honestly weren't very good which was disappointing since when I think of Five Guys they're "known" for their fresh potato fries. read more

Awesome burgers! recently they got rated BEST BURGERS IN THE US! The few times I've been here I get the cheeseburger but i do it bunless. We all know what Five Guys serves, and if you don't, the long and short is : Burgers. Fries. Not a whole lot else. This particular Five Guys is nestled in a strip mall area next to the post office, near Montgomery Mall. There's not a whole lot special about it as compared to other Five Guys, except that the cashiers are particularly friendly. It's pretty standard Five Guys overall, except that I noticed the fries are slightly less yum than at other locations - And no, I don't know why. The service is quick around lunch, which I know I'm not the only person in appreciation of. The food is good enough, though this is two visits in a row where I've had severe stomach pains afterward. Nothing particularly special. Perhaps I'm just too picky about meat on a bun, but this doesn't really wow me like friends told me it would the first time I had one. read more

We ordered dinner from Five Guys, tonight. The delivery was almost an hour late. I don't know the source of the delay. It was either the restaurant or the delivery person. I have no concrete evidence who was to blame. According to the messages, in the app, they kept pushing back the delivery time. I followed the status of the order, on the interactive map.The icon for the delivery vehicle stopped at Five Guys for more than twenty minutes. I have diabetes. Delaying a meal can be disastrous. At 10 minutes before the first stated delivery time, I took my insulin. That was when we began receiving messages that there was a delay. It took another 40 minutes for our food to arrive--cold. Once you take your insulin, you have to eat within 15 minutes, or the insulin will cause your sugar to drop. That is called hypoglycemic shock. (It can kill you.) I was lucky, tonight. We are in the middle of a major kitchen renovation. Fortunately, our stove had been temporarily reinstalled. We were able to heat up the food. Once reheated, the food was fine. However, $50 for a couple of cold hamburgers is offensive. Normally, when I order from Five Guys, everything is done right. Tonight, through the fault of the delivery person or the restaurant, things didn't work out well. read more

Fast and friendly service, as I walked through the door, I did not see anyone at th register, but by the time I walked over to the register their was a smiling face to greet me and take my order. Good juicy burger when you're in the mood for something messy and unhealthy. The fries are thicker and a bit sweet. I love the free peanuts they have (self-serve). Just regular peanuts you have to crack out of the shell for. Not a whole lot of anything else so just go if you want burgers and fries. Five guys is awesome.. way better than your mcdonalds/burger king/checkers fast food options. I usually go to the cashier, close my eyes, and point to a whole bunch of random toppings since there are enough to choose from. You also don't need to order any more than regular sized fries, even if you're with another person. Take my word for it. The regular size fries come in a cup, but are pretty much overflowing and excessive. I like that. No complaining here.
