You can never go wrong at Five Guys! BP and I met his family there for a dinner and a percentage of the proceeds were going to Walter Johnson High School that night. I was so excited to see that Five Guys now serves shakes and man, they are awesome! I really liked how all of the mixins for the shake came at no additional charge (well, I think adding bacon would have had a charge, but I didn't see it posted). I went wild! I got chocolate, both Oreo cream and cookie wafer, and coffee! I loved how much it taste of coffee and the little bits of cookie and cream still in the shake. We ordered our burgers and split an order of large fries which were more than enough for four. Burgers were juicy and flavorful and the order was up pretty fast. The restaurant was fairly clean given they were semi-busy and I also like that they have a free style fountain drink machine at this location. Cashier, Andy, was so polite :) He read the whole order back to ensure everything came out perfectly!

I ordered my usual Bacon Cheeseburger on lettuce wrap. It was delicious. The only thing that I took issue with was that I ordered my food via phone and still had to wait awhile. It was crowded during lunch time so I allowed for extra time. The parking lot is always jumping because of the other stores in the shopping center.

    Yum!

What I love about Five Guys is the cleanliness, happy and friendly staff, and of course, the best 5 dollar burger around! During my time spent there, I saw multiple staff members cleaning and keeping things orderly. And they were smiling. It's such a drag to go to a restaurant and see the employees missable. However, these folks were nice and I could see that they treated each other that way as well. Now the food. They have one of those drink stations that has 100+ options which is cool. The grub is always hot and fresh. And the burgers (whichever one you get) are so juicy. And did I mention the toppings? Too many to list! Come in, grab some peanuts while you wait, and get ready for a solid meal.

I've referenced Five Guys a dozen times, but never gave them props with a review. Shame. There are about a dozen burger joints that have swooped in over McDonalds and Wendy's on the burger hierarchy in the last decade, and Five Guys has emerged as the leader--they are everywhere. It's funny to see because it's originally a DC place with the first store in Arlington. (If only Little Tavern had been as lucky, DC natives would rule the world!) The Five Guys burger is great. Good bun, and great meat. Take a bite of just the burger and you see the difference from many others. It stands on its own. A good selection of toppings and peanuts while you wait. One thing that is new is the mini order of fries. That is a great option because the previous small size was way too big--that left me either throwing 1/2 away or force feeding myself. Lately, I had stopped ordering them all together. The thing about Five Guys is that they do what they do and nothing else. You know they will be doomed when they add salad or nuggets.

My favorite Five Guys with THE BEST FRIES! Kudos to the always pleasant staff greeting us with a smiles. They get a lot of traffic but are quick to serve us. Thank you Five Guys!

I've also like their variety of Latin American desserts like the tres leches, flan, bread pudding, and Latino cookies, ALFAJORES. Every time I eat the cookies, which are made with powder sugar, I end up wearing a lot of the sugar. It is a fast casual place, so you order, and carry your food to your table. This time around, we got the Quarter Pounder meal with a Coke Zero and fries. It was exactly as we would expect. Since McDonald's is a popular spot in the mall's food court, there was a bit of a line. However, I powered through because I really wanted a QPC combo meal. I thought the line moved pretty fast, and I waited about 10 minutes to order. To be frank, I thought some customers were causing the bottleneck in the line. Why? Although folks had been waiting in the line for about 10 minutes, 1. many folks did not know what they wanted and/or 2. did not have their form of payment ready when they reached the cashier. *One of my pet peeves.* When it was my turn to order, I thought my cashier was super friendly and very nice. I probably waited about five minutes for my food, which was understandable because the restaurant was popping. OMG. My QPC tasted really fresh...well, as fresh as something from McDonald's can be. I'm going to assume that the beef patties were cooked right before I ordered so the burger was oh so juicy. I'll say that this McDonald's is a little stingy with the ketchup packets. Overall, I had a pretty decent experience eating here. I will admit that it was a bit difficult to find some seating in the food court, but I cannot attribute this to the McDonalds.

It's accessible with plenty of parking nearby, including several disabled parking spots right out front, is absolutely beautiful inside with stunning black-and-white tiles adorning the counter (where you can order -- although there is also a screen-type ordering system in the entryway, as well) wall, enticing photos of all the important things in life -- those being fresh figs, olives, spices, and unfiltered coffee being poured, all along the wall above the tables with most comfortable seating! There are Turkish plates and copper pots hung above, as well, to give a splendid feeling of how food can be heartily prepared and beautifully served -- and beautifully served it is here! The caffeine-free mint tea comes in a gorgeous metal pot and is drunk from a glass glass (meaning a glass made of glass, not ceramic) with eye-catching decorations that will help to bring you into the spirit of the meal you are about to have .... The Quinoa Tabouli Salad with Falafel is spectacular! It's standout amazing, delicious, refreshingly oh-so-fresh, crispy, crunchy, yummy -- how many good-to-great things can I say about it? If I keep complimenting it as much as it deserves, you might get bored, ha ha! You might think that I'm exaggerating. I'm not. Of course, it's possible I'm biased and have tastes that just happen to align with this particular falafel spot's way of preparing things -- but I think not! I think this is objectively over-the-top in greatness! The District Salad is equally splendiferous and worth your time to indulge in savouring every bite. There are so many great-looking things here I can't wait to try! I must taste the Shorbat Adas (puréed lentil soup), (non-quinoa) Tabouli, Toom, and many other things here! The variety is very wowing! Most places just don't give you this variety in terms of various dishes or the variety within each dish that this place does -- and that contributes greatly to not only your appetite but also your health. So much care is clearly put into everything here from the décor to the drinks to the hospitality. It's really like a mini, super-tasty trip to the Near East -- and welcomes everyone equally. I'm so glad I stopped in! I can't wait to go back! Highly recommended! Very much deserving of an absolute, all-around Yay! :-D (By the way, from a not-falafel fan I know: 'You know I'm not a fan of falafel, but that was really good -- everything! We need not ever go back to the other place -- even if it's free!' What better endorsement could there be?)
