This location seems like they're incapable of getting your order correct! It has happened multiple times but the last two visits they shorted me food and it's getting old. Today I ordered breakfast for my whole family, 6 breakfast sandwiches and 3 hash browns. (There are 5 of us and my 12 year old eats two sandwiches, no hash brown) But of course they shorted me a sandwich again! The McDonald's on Gantzel has a cool employee-less dining room with digital kiosks for ordering. It's modern, quiet, and feels high-tech. But the drive-thru is super slow, even when it's not busy. They also mess up orders a lot. Worst of all, I saw employees stick their hands inside the ice cream machine, which is gross and makes me avoid it. The dining room idea is neat, but the long waits, wrong orders, and hygiene issues ruin it. UPDATE AUGUST 2025: Not only do employees put their bare hands in the ice cream machine, they also do it in the ice machine when bagging ice. I observed an employee reach his hand into his front right pants pocket, remove his cell phone, send a message, put his phone back into his pocket, and the scoop ice without washing his hands. A study found an average of 25,127 bacteria per square inch on smartphones, making them significantly dirtier than surfaces like public toilet seats. Research also showed that phones show the presence of pathogens like MRSA, E. coli, and SARS-CoV-2. This place does not deserve the health score it currently holds. read more

I have been stopping here for breakfast a couple of times. I like the "Big Breakfast " and always order it. Lately however, I had to stop using this McDonald's due to their inability to properly prepare scrambled eggs. On one visit, the eggs were so overcooked that they were hard with very unappetizing burnt edges and underside. I complained to McDonald's corporate. I received back a reply that they had informed the store that was responsible. A day later, I received an email from Martha R Sanchez. It was a form letter with the usual "sorry your experience was disappointing " type of comments. Nothing concerning burnt eggs or of instructing the cooks on how to properly cook eggs. A week later I returned for breakfast and when I got home, I found the eggs to be burnt again, actually worse than the previous visit. I sent photos to Ms. Sanchez's email but got no response. We live super close to this location so when we just want to have something quick and easy to eat we will order from here. It's such a a hit or miss and that comes with fast food to be honest. But lately it's been missing, it gets really old when you pay for items and never receive said item. I it seems like every time I order something is always missing. This morning my order cost 33 dollars and I was missing half the order (my bad for not checking the bag before leaving) but it adds up and with the pricing of everything going up it just like throwing money away at this point! And to top it off I never received a receipt (very common of them to do so here)so it's not like I can even go back and get my items or get a refund. I don't have high expectations for McDonald's As it is it's cheap fast food but how hard is it to just make sure you give the crust everything they pay for? read more

Poor Service! After waiting in line for what seemed like 10 minutes, I get the the pick up window, and of course I'm asked to pull around to the front. While waiting in front, two other cars pull in behind me, after waiting another couple minutes, the food comes out for the two cars behind me before my food ever arrived. When you go through drive up, cars that need to wait for their orders pull in front of the store. But sometimes they don't move up when they should and people that have collected their orders at drive up can't get out so we get to wait until those waiting in front of the store get their orders. They could have pulled up but I'm sure they don't to put pressure on the crew to bring their orders out to them. They need to have them park in designated spots on the side of the store so others going through drive through can get out! I will not be back. And to be fair, it stops additional cars from going through and ordering. This set up is not good for customers or this McDonalds. read more

I ordered the Double Quarter Pounder with cheese. The meat was completely raw. It was a gooey cold gelatinous red mess. This is the 2nd time it happened at this location. I wasn't going to put a bad review because mistakes happen, but after several attempts at contacting customer service about this and not receiving any response back from them in over 3 months, here we are. Why is it every time you go to McDonald's "our ice cream machine is sign" I don't know why they even have it on the menu

This McDonald's was just remodeled it looks great inside but that's not why I am writing a review and giving them five stars. The food was very good and was fresh hot and received quickly but the reason I'm writing is about a team member that shined above all the rest of the McDonald's I have ever been to in my life. Ayreana Greeted us and was friendly and helpful polite intergenic then we were eating and she came to our table and asked "if everything was OK and could she get us anything else". Me: I'm using the mobile app... - Mobile app orders not prepared for 30 minutes after reaching the first window, despite having pressed "I'm Already Here" in the app 10 minutes prior to arriving (forces them to start the order instead of waiting for you to be close). They only brought my food out at 30 minutes because I called at 25 minutes of waiting and they said "We'll be out in two minutes." Food was cold - Drive-through workers cussing to me about their "stupid f***ing coworkers," (I agree, though) - They make me pull around and wait to have my order brought out no matter how small the order is, how otherwise not-busy they are, and how much time I gave them in advance via the app. Train everyone or close this location. Every single time I have been here, they get the order completely wrong. Sometimes they get it wrong multiple times, and by then the rest of the food is cold in the bag. I only get food from here as a last resort now because the service is just so terrible. They need to pay their people more and train them better, so that these mistakes stop being so prevalent. For 8/19/22: Quarter-pounder deluxe was OK for this fast-food joint; I don't expect fine dining. Staff was friendly; line moved well (drive-through). I knew prices had increased; still, close to $11 for a medium meal was a bit of a surprise because I hadn't driven through anywhere for a while. I know we will be hearing about inflation, supply chain issues, pandemic, etc., etc., etc. probably for the next 20 years--maybe I'll give it another decade before trying again. Got charged the wrong amount today (less than what I was originally supposed to pay). It's totally fine, and I wanted to see the receipt so I can offer to pay the difference if needed. Upon asking for a receipt, the female worker at the second window with glasses on decided to show me attitude just because I asked nicely for a receipt. If you're unhappy with your job and incapable of working in a customer service oriented industry, then quit kiddo because people like me will treat you exactly how you treat me. This is the worst McDonald ever. Last week I ordered a #1. BigMac, fries,etc. All of the fries were less than 1/2" long, must have been the bottom of the bin. They said they were out of all soft drinks etc. Orange. The burger was approx 50% sauce. I was sick for about 2 days after eating. Today my wife brought home double quarter pounder meal. So I gave them second chance. Big Mistake. The hamburger meat was black on the surface and completely mushy raw inside. They are a public health hazard. We've lived in our new home for almost four months now. Our two youngest kids crave McNuggets kids meals. As parents, we leverage their desire as a reward for extraordinary behavior. The employees here have their hands full. It's a busy location and the only one for miles (believe it or not!) Everything is drive-thru or take-out. And while they don't have the systems in-place like CFA, the employees here do the best they can with what they've got. In the process, they normally deliver quick/friendly customer service and quality food (for kids anyway - my wife/I don't eat the stuff.) Don't get mad if the drive-thru gets bogged down...remember; it's likely the fault of a customer who isn't organized and/or drowning in a vehicle full of "hangry" kids! (Yeah, we've all been there parents, right?) So have some grace and be thankful the employees are on the front lines to serve us. They put themselves at risk every shift. Of note - they have some new baked goods/pastries. We brought home cinnamon rolls for the older kids at home. A bit pricey at almost $3 each - but they're large and our older kids loved them - and far cheaper I'm sure than a Cinnabon! read more

A YELP FOR HELP if i could give zero stars u would. i was craving mcdonald's on my way home from a 10 hr shift. stopped by this one and ordered a a simple 4 piece chicken nugget, soda, and fry. i waited thirty minutes. the gentleman who took my payment was kind however, when i pulled to the second window, the girl couldn't even say hi. she got my drink wrong which was fine, not a big deal at all. i kindly let her know and she had the biggest attitude, rolled her eyes, and walked away. she didn't say bye when she handed my my food and was very rude. she then proceeded to slam the window in my face when i was done. i asked for sweet and sour sauce and there was none in the bag. i went in to ask for some and another employee just looked at me and disregarded my presence. i used to work in fast food when i was younger and it wasn't brain science. i'm not sure if she was just having a bad day but that attitude is just unacceptable. read more

First I want to say that I understand you have to be "fast food" and have things ready on a hot plate under a warmer to get cars through the drive-through fast enough to hit your times for internal purposes and goals. But there is a point of having to throw the food out because it's just too old. That is not the case here. My experience has made the decision for me. I will never go back to this location again because it's always the same thing when I go here. Unfresh. I ordered two breakfast burritos which were hard as a rock on the tortillas and the eggs had that dried yellow nasty feel from sitting in the open air for too long. I also ordered two egg sausage and cheese McMuffin's but what I got was just two sausage and cheese McMuffin's with no egg, also hard as a rock with the English muffins themselves having been burnt. The sausage had dried out and was unchewable. McDonald's should be better and not sell themselves short just to hit a time of having a car in their drive-through under a certain count--if you are unable to hit times with "freshness", perhaps more training, better management, etc. It shouldn't be fast and nasty, it should be fast and fresh.
