Embarrassed but also a little proud to say that I'm a regular here?? And I'm not even a coffee drinker so go figure. Let's just highlight the reason for the 5 star review, aside from the drinks itself which I'll expound on in a minute but the customer service!!! I can't tell you how many times I have pulled through the driveway and thought "how do they find such nice employees??" Every single time. Despite black rock being crazy busy during peak times of the day (like morning and weekends), the people here are always so kind and personally and have never made me feel as if they are just pushing me through the line. As far as the drinks go, I can only speak on what I drink myself which is the fuel (black rock energy drinks) and what I've been told from those I've gone with. I love that they have the option of so many fun energy drink options as many coffee shops I go to don't even offer this. I personally order the "orange dream" which is literally a creamy orange popsicle in a cup and it's so good!! I've been told the matches are amazing as well, especially when spicing it up with different flavors. My husband loves a few of their iced coffees as well. Today, I stopped by your shop with my daughter, who needed to use the restroom. While I wasn't initially planning to order anything, I felt it was only right to make a purchase since we used your facilities. However, the shop was very busy at the time, so I decided to step out for lunch and return afterward. I did place an order before leaving, and after we finished our lunch, I came back to pick up my drink. When I returned, I was told the staff had changed shifts and there was no record of my order. I spoke with a young team member named Carter, who told me there was nothing she could do. I asked if she could check with the other staff member working, but she dismissed the idea without asking. While I remained polite and simply said, "Have a good day" as I left, I overheard the male employee say to Carter, "Do you think he would make something like that up?" I appreciated that small moment of understanding, but at that point, it felt uncomfortable to continue pursuing the drink. It's disappointing to have had this experience over something as simple as a coffee. The food is on par with other black rock locations and it's a wonderful study spot for students or even readers. The service is fast and efficient. They always have a smile so it makes my day a little. This place can be busy in the morning, as with every other coffee shop in the morning as well. I've noticed they keep their heads up and never let a rush unable them to keep going. Keep in mind, all negative coffee shop reviews are usually the same. Black Rock is by FAR my #1 favorite coffee shop in arizona. They have amazing drinks (Sugar-free Iced Carmel Blonde is my personal fav), plenty of snacks, and its always a calm and nice atmosphere. This location specifically has my favorite staff out of any black rock i've been to. They are always smiling, accurate and seem like they are actually happy to be there. 5/5 star. Lived in Ca (yeah, yeah lol ) and my go to coffeehouse was Peet's Coffee. Moved to Az and started going to Starbucks . Had a Drs appt in Mesa and needed my coffee fix and was looking for a Starbucks - heck even a McDonalds. Lucky for me, there wasn't one anywhere near me... Lo and Behold... There was a Black Rock Coffee coming up, right in front of me AND on my side of the street! (Higley and Hampton). Took a chance, drove up to the speaker, clueless what was what, explained to the gentleman I was a newbie .... That I loved Frappes...And that was all it took! He told me about the Chillers and the Blended Favorites and said they can make a Chiller/Blended drink in just about any flavor. THEN he told me about their App and how it worked, so I ended up downloading the app right then and there and ordered a Lg Mint Chip Chiller - recommended by him. When I got my order, he had me try it before I left ... WOW ... it's so much BETTER than a Starbucks anything! It's a bit stronger, TASTES like nicely brewed coffee - not burnt coffee at Starbucks - and everyone I've come across since has been especially nice and attentive. That was about a year ago and now I go at least twice a week to this one (on Ocotillo) on my way home from my PT appt. And I still stop at the Mesa location when i find myself in that area. Been going to Black Rock since moving to AZ. This location is brand new, right across the street from me. Can't wait for warmer weather and ride our bikes here. It was an early morning to this location, lots of staff anticipating customers. Ordered our usual, Jackhammer for me and the Caramel Truffle with an extra shot for the hubby. I have been driving by the new Black Rock Coffee for so long. I couldn't wait for it to open. Finally, I saw an ad that they would be opening on a Friday and offering two dollar drinks all day. In fact, they actually have a menu for the entire week with a different incentives of why to stop by. I figured in the morning it was going to be packed so I didn't even try. After I took a late lunch on Friday, I swung by to get my afternoon tea. I've only been to a BRC once before, and it was to try a pumpkin spice latte. It was delicious, I had great service, and I really liked the environment. I'm excited to call this new location, my neighbor! They had all the parking blocked off for the drive-through, so I drove around back and parked my car. Someone our feom who was working there told me to. They had a big coffee blown up in the front, that was adorable. Advertising. They were playing music really loud. They even had speakers outside, so the drive-through people could hear it. I remember hearing "Salvation" by The Cranberris, playing very loud while I was waiting for my tea. There was no line, I walked right up and there was only a few minute wait for me to get my tea. I ordered a decaf, hibiscus tea hot, and it came out very hot. Scolding hot. They warned me though. The place is perfectly new and clean and adorably decorated. The service was outstanding. The food items looked OK. The drink menu was great. I look forward to returning. I even signed up as a loyalty member! read more

I go to the Queen Creek location off of Ocotillo often. It's conveniently located and consistently fast. The breakfast sandwiches come out hot, and we haven't had any issues with our drink orders. Not a fan, I've tried the hot chia I did not like. Opted to try a iced chia this time, that taste even worse. For me it taste like watery milk with cinnamon. I won't be back. Also was texted about rewards but when I went to use it would not come up due to poor reception, was not offered a Wi-Fi code just told this has happened to others. I've been going in since they opened and ordering the same thing. Every time I ask for light ice and they fill it all the way up with fuel. Today there was like half an inch missing from my drink. I asked the girl why it wasn't full and she said she would have to charge me more for additional product. I said that's never happened before and she walked off and started helping the next customer. BR is charging $7 for what probably costs about $2 to make and I'm asking to not pay for a cupful of ice. I've watched them make it every time I've gone in and they just open another can and add. Service was rude and slow. It took them 12 minutes to make 3 drinks, keep in mind it was slow. Nobody in drive through or dine in. First review for me- the coffee was horrible. Ordered a cap. Bitter- bubbly milk- I threw it away. The danish order was wrong. The wall plug didn't work. The fair balance is the building is pretty. Stay home and drink Folgers - similar quality except consistent. And for that you ll pay 10 bucks without tip!!!
