You're travelling from Colorado to Texas, you need to make good time, and you're hungry. Is this McDonald's a good option? It was for us.

Girls were so rude in the drive through AND inside. We went up to the drive through and the girl seemed upset that we pulled up and when we asked to make two orders she refused. When we pulled up to the window to get our food, another girl handed us our food and when we told her we were missing our McFlurry she got upset, kept opening the window and with it still open said "ugh there's more cars pulling up" and kept opening to check if people were coming. When out McFlurry was done she handed it to us and then closed the window without a word. We then parked to go use the bathroom I asked for some ketchup, another girl scoffed and rudely exclaimed "it's right there!" I have worked in customer service for many years and I am very lenient knowing that the conditions people work under aren't always the best, but being flat put rude surprised me. read more

What do you people expect? It's a McDonald's, come on. Why do you feel the need to open up this app just to complain about not getting pickles on you Big Mac or that the person behind the counter getting payed $10/hr wasn't accommodating to your outlandish requests. Sad. read more

A one star review is too high for this poorly managed McDonalds. After multiple attempts to receive half decent service at the Raton, New Mexico location I am finally giving up. The lack of customer service is appalling. Save you money and drive on down the road to a McDonalds where they actually care about the paying customer! read more

Although the ladies bathroom was clean and we were happy they were opened early on a Sunday morning, we expected the food to be hot as we were the only customers. But It was not hot. The English muffin on the egg McMuffin was stale and hard to chew. It was barely warm--not even enough to melt the cheese. The hash brown was cool and tasted like it had been cooked the day before. My husband's sausage McMuffins were equally disappointing cool. Not happy customers. read more

No Grimace shake. Didn't seem to be prepared for every scout going to Philmont to stop here. Also their outdoor chairs and tables are bolted to the floor which my group found restrictive belittling, and led to not being unable to get comfortable. read more

We stopped here on 12/25/18 this evening while on our way to Colorado and had a poor dining experience that grew worse as we were there. When I got my burger, it was cold to the point where I couldn't eat it, but management gladly replaced it with a better one. My husband had to wait 26 minutes for his meal, and while waiting at the counter for his food, saw his order number at the top of the screen and bypassed multiple times. Nobody was really willing to take orders and instead we were directed to order from the kiosks. However, there were very few order numbers available and out of all sizes except small cups. The restrooms were in poor condition and needed toilet paper replenishment. The most grotesque part of this visit is when I observed a young man in a Denver Broncos sweatshirt take a puff of his mini cigar outside as I was walking back in and walk in the restaurant and proceeded to walk right into the kitchen with his lit mini cigar, right in front of customers and what appeared to be a manager. This was undoubtedly my worst visit to a McDonald's ever and I'm completely shocked that someone who I assume is an employee would walk into the kitchen, let alone the building with a lit tobacco product. read more

They are fast, accurate and friendly. Many place nowadays are short staffed but this location is always on the hall and ready get you in and out. read more

$7 for a cold chicken sandwich with the texture of shoe leather, cold fries and a flat coke. I wonder if the franchise owner checks on this place. Never order a sausage McMuffin with egg, it will be so cold the cheese won't melt and they don't toast the English muffin, they wave it over the muffin and call it toasted. read more

Would not eat again. Waited 10 minutes for packaged apples and hash browns. We had to walk back in after an employee never brought the apples. We're told to wait for the hash browns but they never brought them to the car. ...but the Diet Coke was tight. read more

This McDonalds has been completely untouched by time for the last 20 years, and it's absolutely incredible. If you want to see what McDonalds looked like in 1989, this is the place to go. I'm not a big McDonalds fan or anything, but it was like stepping back into my childhood (when I DID eat too much McDonalds). As far as the actual food, it's pretty standard - same as every other McDonalds, so if you're stopping through here on the way to Denver or something, you know what you're going to get. read more

I wouldn't normally bother to write a McD's review, but there are a few things you should know about this one. First, it is in Raton - so if you are on that long haul from NM into CO and need a stop you will likely stop here for gas and food. This place is a hot spot. Tour buses, locals, travelers - everyone goes here. The parking lot was packed, the restaurant was packed and it was tough to get in and out. Now, I will say the staff did well to keep the crazy in check and provide some order to the crazy amount of people in here at lunch time. However, if I did it again I would go to Sonic - seriously this place is too busy and parking is to tight to make it an enjoyable experience! read more

I guess this is really the only place to hang out because there was a church group rehearsing their music here , a bunch of families eating dinner , and I think even a small elderly group of friends who were hanging out in groups of about 10. The staff is really friendly but ultimately ... service is slow, food comes out cold ... and the wait is way way way way too long ..... read more

Yes, we were tired and trying to grab a bite of food and a tasty iced vanilla coffee. After two attempts the coffee was not drinkable. The burger was dry and tasteless. The service was moderately fast. The staff seemed immature or overwhelmed. The location is busy, and the appearance of unhappy staff was obvious. This is the second worst Golden Arches that I have patronized. read more

We have been to this McDonalds several times while traveling to from Albuquerque to from Denver! It is usually a very nice calm place to eat! Today, however the young lady who gave out the food when order was ready was very rude and obnoxious! The lady before me has left her receipt on the counter and the young lady behind the counter yelled at her, you don't have to leave your trash here! When I asked for mayonnaise for our very dry chicken sandwiches she said if I give you more than one I have to charge 25 cents I said why they left the mayonnaise off the sandwiches! When I was walking away she yelled you don't have to have an attitude! She needs to be spoken to about etiquette, or should NOT be working there! read more

Second time making the mistake of stopping here for a little bite of lunch en route to and from Albuquerque. The food is absolutely horrible, the restaurant itself is total chaos, there are no condiments available unless you ask from them. I had a hamburger that looked (and tasted) like dog food; my wife had an overdone, greasy chicken sandwich. The fries were OK, but not great. Bottom line is the very poor quality of the food...and not that inexpensive! STAY AWAY!!! (Maybe all McDonald's restaurants are like this...not sure. Have gotten far better food at any Wendy's, or for certain any Subways, if you are looking for fast food. read more

Ok so bear in mind we ARE talking fast food joint - so expectations at that level... I've been in here twice now while on road trips and I have to say they have THE BEST sausage egg mcmuffins I have ever had - by a long chalk! The staff are friendly and the service is fast. When we have stopped here for breakfast in the past, it has been acceptable, and I rarely leave a negative review but...Today for lunch, it was not good. Poor customer service, at register and pick up. Hamburger only fair. French fries were Mc's ff and ok. No condiments offered. The tea was so weak, it had no tea taste. We just went through their drive thru and the order was wrong. They shorted us a side salad, 2 different dressings and forks. We checked our order carefully before we left and let them know about the discrepancies. The young woman at the window rolled her eyes and insisted everything was there and kept arguing with me. I took everything out of the bag and turned the bag upside down so she could see it was empty and offered to hand it back to additional eye rolls. We finally received the missing salad. I had to ask for the dressings again to which she replied they were out of the balsamic one. And we had an additional wait for forks. When she handed my husband the forks she rolled her eyes a final time. I asked her what her name was and she replied Alyssa. Worst service ever!!!! read more

Employees and management here are a poor representation of the franchise owner. Unable to professionally interact with customers. Rigid in their thinking and unable to adapt to anything outside their daily norm. Electronic kiosks offering for sale items they do not carry or have in stock sends the management and employees into a tailspin. Franchise owner needs to do better. read more

This McDonalds doesn't deserve a 1 star. But had to put a 1 star to post this review. Worst customer service and using a Kiosk to order your food. And hour later your number is called. This appeared to be the only place to eat on the I25 corridor on the long drive from Santa Fe to Denver. It was absolutely packed and the drive thru line was wrapped around. Inside was full of what seemed like a 1000 young teenage girls on some tour bus from Texas. They were loud, rude, in the way and in general completely annoying. The staff did a good job of keeping the orders straight, but it still took a good 30 minutes to get our $10 worth of food. read more

I thought my first bad experience was just a fluke because I had previously gone to this McDonalds multiple times on road trips with minimal problems. It may look decent from the outside but their business practices/policies SUCK! We went through the drive-thru and at the conclusion of our order I asked for a glass of water. I have NEVER had ANY issues at another McDonalds and have even on occasions at other fast food spots paid $.25-.50 for a glass of water. It is my preference not to buy soda but to stick with a healthy option. I also try to choose AGAINST bottled water because of the amount of waste. After ordering the galss of water I am informed that, "in the drive thru we only have water available in bottles". Are you serious? You gotta be kidding me...... I will NEVER visit this place and I actually drove off after this response. If your customers want to make a healthy and environmentally responsible decision the least they should do is serve you a damn cup of water..... PATHETIC! Came for a late night hot chocolate while on a road trip. Took 15 minutes to make 3 hot chocolates. After getting on the road and taking a sip, it was just hot milk/cream, no chocolate. After dumping it out there was some brown gel on the bottom of the cup, maybe it was the chocolate and didn't get mixed in. read more

Ok, ok, it's a fast food restaurant. Service can be slow and after a rush it can get dirty. Give them a break. I was impressed with the modern updating they've done at a lot of McDonalds, and I was Very Impressed with the service. The food is McDonalds food. There's not much they can do about that, but they can provide service and that's what I got. My food was being delivered to me as I was getting my change back. There was also a guy cleaning the floor in a very respectful manner, so the restaurant was clean. I realize I'm reviewing a McDonalds and I'm a visitor from Houston, but I just had to comment after seeing all of the negative reviews. read more

Had the Chicken Club sandwich at this location back on 6/10/2018, tasted good at the time but got food poisoning about 4 hours later and spent all night throwing up and diarrea. I am never eating anything at at a fast food restaurant with a mayonase based sauce ever again, guess they don't know or follow guidelines for refrigeration and disposal. read more

It is clean, and the food is prepared to reasonable expectations, which is why it receives two stars instead of one, but if Ray Kroc were alive today and walked into this one, this would be a store that would receive an immediate makeover. It's convenient, but the Sonic across the street is better, and you will find better service just about anywhere else in town. read more
