We usually have to pull aside and wait for our food where at other locations we do not. The wait is usually pretty long comparatively for "fast food". I recognize that this McDonalds is only one of two drive thru/fast food options in the area, and as such, it is a busy place. I've just had too many negative experiences where I've had to wait an obscene amount of time for very basic orders. Yesterday, I ordered only a soda through the mobile app and parked in the mobile order area of the parking lot. First and foremost this isn't going to be an "Well it's McDonald's so..." review, this will be an evaluation of the technology that's being used in the restaurant and my overall impressions of the food quality after being off the McD diet for some time. The kiosk where you can order and pay for your meal at your own convenience, provides ease of access and the ability for YOU to customize your order to your unique specifications (though within reason no wumbo jumbo sauce). The location of these (two being to the left of the main entrance) being side by side with the other two facing opposite directions from each other (located to the right of the main entrance). Now these can prove a problem when it is busy, and as lines cross, could cause confusion. All in all, I feel that this new way of getting your McDonald's fix could be advantageous going forward, though one has to know what to order beforehand or have prior experience/not being in a rush while using the kiosk. Now for the food. I had the Big Mac with medium fries and a 10 piece chicken McNugget. The sauces I chose were: ranch, BBQ, honey mustard, and sweet and sour. While testing each sauce out I can to the following conclusions: Best Sauce for Chicken McNuggets: Sweet and Sour Best Sauce for Fries: Ranch I tired to be unbiased and drank water between each taste test to cleanse the palate. For myself the sweet and sour paired well with the chicken whereas the fries paired nicely to the ranch. The BBQ has a tangy smokey flavor which overpowered the tastebuds which was the same with the acidic flavor of the honey mustard. Now I know everyone has their own specific flavor combo, so take my viewpoint with a grain of salt. Could the food be hotter when going 5-10 minutes from my house? Sure, but it's fast food so losses have to be afforded. This includes staff as it's mostly high school to college aged kids, so the service won't be something that is equivalent to a restaurant, though some do try and I commend them for their effort nonetheless. All and all I was surprised by this location, I could be coming back in the future. read more

So, I gave them 1 star since you can't give zero. Ordered a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Got my food, looked into the bag, looked correct. Opened the burger and it had Bacon like I asked. So I headed back to work. Took a bite into the QP and it tasted "different" to me. Took a look at the burger, completely pink inside. Barely done/cooked. What kind of Bullshit is this? If you're going to cook shit rare, give customers the option of choosing! Won't be back. Worked at McDonald's when I was 17. All meat is to be cooked to an internal temp, measured with their thermometer. At NO time, when cooked to the temp they had as "standard" then, did the meat stay pink inside. This McDonalds has a two-lane drive-through. I was waiting in the first lane, the second lane let three cars order. I said "Hello?", three times to the speaker, and no one answered. If you're using the drive thru, I have two recommendations. #1, always check your order as stated by others before driving off. #2, NEVER EVER EVER pull over to the side to wait for your order. If you do, you are now in never-never land and they will forget about you. This happened on my last visit to me and the car directly behind me. Both of us got sent to the corner like bad children and watched at least a dozen cars leave with food. I finally went to the locked door (Covid closure) and same employee who told me to pull over asked what I needed. MY FOOD! He looked at the receipt and said just a minute, which turned into another five. At this point the guy in the car behind me got out and walked up to drive thru and started yelling questions at drive thru employees who were trying to ignore, so I joined him. All of a sudden a manager came out and asked what the deal is. We expressed we just wanted the food we had already paid for. (now at 15 minutes). The other guy only ordered a McChicken and she got him that. She had grabbed my order as well and it was incomplete, so she went back again. 18 minutes to get my entire order. This is one of the jankiest Mc Donald's I've ever been to. Make sure you take your receipt and check your order before you drive off with your food, because they frequently leave things out and then--after you go allllll the way back through the drive through line will demand proof of payment before giving you the item THEY left out. You might be tempted not to take a receipt in order to reduce your covid exposure, but since they will neither take your word for it or look up the order on their end, you'll need to take it. Otherwise, expect to be treated like someone trying to scam a freaking $4 sandwich. Finally, these people are NOT wearing their masks correctly. This is closest location to me and it's the worst Mc Donald's I have ever been to. I've tried to be patient and understanding when going anywhere because I know stuff happens. But when they are out of unsweetened tea the last 5 times you've been there and are unable to give you a receipt (yes a freaking receipt) the last 3 times that's just ridiculous. The last time I went to this Mc Donalds was Saturday, Feb. 20th. I order my unsweetened iced tea and like one another item and then was asked to pull forward to the window. The young man advised me that they just ran out of unsweetened tea so I said ok that's fine, I do not need a beverage. He then charged my credit card and handed it back to me. I asked for the receipt and he said he couldn't do that. I said well why can't I have one and he advised me that they have been out of receipt paper all day. I was just so disappointed at that point so I asked for the Manager in charge. Nia ( the manager in charge ) came over and advised me that there was nothing he could do for me. I said well I need a receipt and he said well we can write what you ordered on a piece of paper. It's like, I can do that too but I want a legitimate receipt and by law they have to provide me with one. I asked them if they had a manual receipt machine and they said no. Reason being I need a receipt. 1. The last time they couldn't provide me with a receipt I realized my order was wrong when I got home. When I went back they said "well I'm sorry, but unless you have a receipt we cannot help you." 2. I need it for business purposes since I was working that day. 3. By law they have to provide me with one Finally, Lane came over (another manager in charge ). To be honest, he was actually a lot nicer and more professional than the other one. He explained that yes his iced tea machine had been broken for a while and that they had been out of receipt paper all day and he tried calling other stores for some. I said ok, now you guys tell me you just ran out but your machines been broken, and knowing it has you still sold me an unsweetened tea when the person could have just said they were out?!! I was so upset that I wanted their General Managers phone number (her name is Queen) but they said they could not provide me with that. Well I was just so fed up with all the lies and the run around so I said I want a receipt. I called Mc Donalds Corporate and spoke to Andrew (badge# 51245) and explained the situation to him as I waited over 30 minutes in the parking lot for Lane to retrieve some receipt paper. He finally returns with a receipt, my change (in cash), and 5 free item vouchers. I was nice to him and tried to be patient as possible but then when I looked at the 5 free item vouchers they all expired in December of 2015! He apologized and said that they still not had received their 2016 ones yet. To be honest I do not need them anyways because I will never be back there! Lane, I do thank you for trying your best, but the experience in itself was just too ridiculous and to have spent almost 1 hour there just to get a receipt is a little absurd, on top of the expired vouchers. Where do I start.. If I could give them no stars I would. First of all the drive through is a complete disaster, it is not uncommon to sit in line for 15-20 min. The staff is never friendly or welcoming, including the morning shift manager who likes to address customers as "dude" or "man". I've never seen a McDonald's have such loose standards when it comes to basic things such as employees on their phone while talking to customers. Frequently this location has stopped severing breakfast items sometimes a whole hour before breakfast hours are supposed to end. No surprise the ice cream machine is down 50% of the time. Last but definitely not lease. I've found they forget at least one or two items on your order in the drive through. Absolutely worst McDonald's I have ever been too. I will actually drive 10 more minutes out of my way to the Benson location just to avoid the frustration this location gives me. Fairwood McDonald's is an absolute joke. read more
