This has to be the absolute worst McDonald's I've ever encountered. First, over the years, I've gotten disappointed in their food overall, regardless of location. This particular McDonald's...the only reason I go is my autistic daughter likes the chicken nuggets. I tend to toss an extra double cheeseburger for myself. Every time I order a burger, I'm asked to pull into the waiting area. This last experience, I was the only customer in the drive thru, a rarity. I order the nugget meal (large), and a double cheeseburger. First warning sign was the drink was a medium, whatever. Heading down the road, I reach into the bag for the burger. It's then I realized there are no nuggets, but three individual cheeseburgers. The only thing correct were the fries. And the burgers were smashed. I had just finished a 12 hour work shift, was the only customer in line and once again, this location couldn't produce an order properly. I kept driving, stopping at the Biddeford location to get another order. Five minutes, done and out. This Saco location is the absolute worst. read more

Very VERY slow service. Half of the workers are standing around. Too busy making their own break food to make ours. Cars in drive thru have not moved in half an hour. Fries are cold but all other food was a good temperature. Not good enough for 30 minute wait time. Big arch was good though but that could be at any McDonalds. Don't go here! read more

Really, really slowwww. It seems like there were only three kitchen workers for about 20 orders, so it took a while to get our order from this "fast" food stop. When another customer complained about the wait, someone from the kitchen snapped back and said "you're welcome to go to a different restaurant." I empathize with the frustration and stress that worker was feeling, but they continued to complain about that customer (loud enough that we could hear the comments in the lobby) for a couple of minutes with coworkers, which doesn't seem like the time or place to be talking about it. The only saving grace is the older worker who was helping customers in the dining area was very sweet and helped several customers, including myself, order on the self-service kiosks and ensured tables were clean. read more

Food and service were excellent in Saco for the food that they serve. Service was extra complimentary. I'm 69 and out of desperation I applied to McDonald's for an assistant managership, as they said they were hiring. Nope told me the interviewer. OK I said anything. I really felt the interviewer was demeaning. "How would your last employer rate you". Like I don't care how the would rate me in a crappy job. I did my work. I didn't kiss their ass. They were generally OK but not my cup of tea at all. Finally, the interviewer said, "we start adults at 16.50 per hour". Well that's great. Guess we don't need slaves. Drive thru service is the worst!!! 12:15 on a Monday and there's 4 cars waiting for french fries.

Had 40 minutes til crete arrived so we ran to grab a quick lunch. Saco McDonald's was right down the road and we thought it would be quick. Upon arrival they had both ordering lines open with only a handful of cars. We pulled up and asked for a minute to look at the menu. Eric ordered a mcdouble mcchicken and large fry I ordered 2 mcdoubles. They gave us the price and pull up to the next window. Started looking around cuz I'm not familiar with the saco McDonald's and it looked nice outside and a sign said they had seating inside available to. Get to the 1st window and he repeated the order, price and swiped the debit card. Have a good day and please pull up to the next window. Wow this is going fast I'm thinking and I pull to the 2nd window. Eric says ask if I can get some honey mustard , I look at the kid at the window whose seen and heard the conversation and before I can say anything he says please pull up to the next window.....I open my mouth to ask and he repeated to pull up to the next window. Ugh I didn't know McDonald's had 3 windows but I pull forward and get to the next window and it's unstaffed and it's a window inside the entrance where the staff can pass your food through without going outside. Seriously? So Eric jumps out and heads in to get honey mustard sauce and as he grabs the door handle its locked so he runs around to the other side of the building to get inside. After 7 or 8 minutes of sitting at the window waiting Eric comes into view and he's got a bag of food. He hops in and I ask him how he got food? He says it's our order. Really? So lg fry, 3 mcdoubles, mcchicken he says yeah and he starts pulling burgers out and says no wait. Got the fry, mcchicken, 2 double cheeseburgers and 1 mcdouble. I said that isn't what we ordered and I grab the receipt and that's what is ordered. At this point we needed to get back to the job site and the line was now backed up in both lanes plus multiple vehicles on the side waiting for there food so we left. We got back and passed out the burgers and they were tossed together and wrapped quickly by looking at them. In my opinion you should have pride in whatever job you choose and even in the fast food industry you eat with your eyes first and this burger was not looking good at all. First off you messed up my order but I could've been ok with that if I didn't have to sit waiting for almost 10 minutes to realize the order was wrong. Had someone brought it to the window as expected we could have noticed and gotten it fixed. But the least you could've done was get a good looking burger to me, not something that was banged up and tossed in a bag Smh From now on I'll be saying whatever I need to at window #1 and window #2 cuz when you get to window #3 your lucky if you get food let alone a staff member BUT ALWAYS check your order no matter how small or easy it is because they can screw it up. Sadly we were the 1st vehicle waiting for our order, the next 2 vehicles after us were asked to pull into the parking space along the fence line. They were still waiting when we left. Thanks Saco McDonald's, lunch sucked but we won't make the mistake of going back again. Lesson learned but if you're already messing up orders and getting behind when you're not very busy I can only imagine what it'll be like when the tourists are here and everyplace is slammed with customers inside and at the drive through read more

I'm not a huge fan of McDonald's, however this specific store does well. Most of the time I get exactly what I want. The owner does seem to need a couple better employees. Went the other night and there was only 2 people running the entire store. Dining was closed, it was around midnight, but there were people actually honking behind me. 20 full minutes in the drive thru line with one car in front of me. Wasn't good. The ones that were there worked their butts off though. So I can't blame them that's for sure. read more

Parking lot and drive thru layout is not user friendly. Then when you enter the drive through incorrectly (on accident) the manager comes out and yells at you and if that's enough comes over the microphone to further lecture you about how to properly enter the drive thru. He then makes you wait for someone else to take your order and we recieved old cold fries & stale buns. read more

It's your typical McDonald's, however this particular location has several chronic problems. First of all, all McDonald's chain locations accept Apple Pay, both in the dining room and the drive thru, however this location refuses to honor Apple Pay payments at its drive thru. They had started out by saying hey didn't know what Apple Pay was, that eventually turned into they didn't know how to use it, which eventually turned into we don't accept Apple Pay at the drive thru. This was over the course of several trips/attempts. Next, for 6 visits in a row they would not include any sauces in my nuggets order. They would ask, however when we got the food, there wasn't any sauce included. Lastly, on two occasions, when ordering a double quarter pounder with cheese, we were given a single quarter pounder with cheese but charged for the double. Attempts to contact management or ownership via social media resulted in no contact. Nobody from either the franchisee or McDonald's corporate would respond for comment. Would give zero stars but app doesn't allow that. Stop last night for chicken wraps all out of grilled chicken and it would be a ten minute wait. They where again only taking cash this had in it self has happen the last three times I have been there. I Eat a fry on the way home they are cold and hard as a rock. Constantly have a long wait at this location, severely understaffed, the inside often has a very strange and unpleasant smell, some workers wear strange clothing that doesn't seem like part of their uniform, staff will ignore customers for awhile while they focus on other orders, staff is constantly unpleasant and seems very annoyed to work at this establishment.
