I write to offer a general comment about the McDonald's app. I started using it more than a year ago. This specific McDonald's did okay with it. But I'd estimate that the success rate is about fifty percent. What I mean is here, I placed my order about 90 seconds before pulling into the drive through line, and the person on the speaker had to get someone else, presumably a manager, who figured out the right order after I read the code number a second time, and he repeated back my name to confirm it was me. Probably half the time, maybe more, the app does what it is supposed to, but the people are confused and I have to go into the store or pull into the parking space where they bring the bag out to you after a wait. This only confirms that the issue with these innovations can be not the technology but the wetware. They no doubt have a stated Standard Operating Procedure. But in practice, the weakness is people (I include myself of course). You have to train people in the SOP, then practice it. They did better than half their peers, so that is saying something. read more

We requested the Sanrio ninja turtles when we were getting a happy meal and we were so excited to see what it was! We were about to get our order when a guy had to check our order but it was kind of annoying because shouldn't you know if it's the right order? Because when I normally go to McDonald's they usually never check the order and they just know it's right. After he checked it, he gave it to us and we drove away. Then we ate some fries on the way because we just couldn't wait but the fries were old, and stale it tasted terrible for McDonald's, because usually McDonald's fries are one of the best. But these fries, we're not even close. Then we got home, a little disappointed because the fries were not good. Then we were super excited to open the Sanrio ninja turtle collectibles! Then we open it up ready for more excitement, but then it was an ugly alien from Elio! And I knew it was old because Elio came out a while ago I was so mad it was so frustrating and disappointing. Unfortunately, this was the only McDonald's in the area and I happen to stop by for a late night dinner. Had I known about all the bad the reviews, I would've never gone here as I wasted about 20 minutes stuck in a drive-through line that I couldn't get out of once I got to drive through electronic board only to find they had no beef! I've never been to a McDonald's that didn't have any hamburgers available for sale. The only thing they offered were chicken sandwiches and fish fillet. Also, the slow drive-through line means that the service is really bad inside and they don't really work that hard or fast at this restaurant. This may seem like a strange story to relate, but here goes. Several weeks ago, our dear aunt in San Jose became quite ill, so we dropped everything and headed north. Several days later, she sadly passed away in the hospital with lots of family members and close friends there to lend support to the immediate family. After three days of intense emotions, we were wrung out and ready to drive home. We got off the freeway at the Cochrane exit to find a Starbucks. We ended up on the west side of the road, and realized that we were hungry with a long drive ahead of us. In that moment, though I rarely eat burgers, and when I do, it's not normally at McDonald's, I got a craving for a simple Quarter Pounder with Cheese. They had a deal on two, so that was our impromptu dinner. We sat in the car in the parking lot, eating our comfort food. Perhaps because of the tremendous loss we'd just suffered, in the moment, that burger was extra tasty. Almost a life-affirming moment. I relate that to longing for a normalcy of a less complicated time before experiencing the death of a loved one. We never went inside the restaurant. Our only contact was at the drive-thru, and eating that well-prepared burger in the parking lot. Whoever was cooking that day did a good job. read more

I haven't been to a McDonald's for years it feels like! I decided to swing by and get a Big Mac and was pleasantly surprised how well made the burger was. It literally looked exactly like from the pictures. The service was pretty fast but I guess that was because it was not during peak hours. 8/26/19 7pm Never thought I would write a review for McD's but here I am. Went to the drive-thru and they have 2 speakers to order from as our car was ordering another one was too. We get to the 1st window and the cashier was on the mic taking the next order. She didn't say the total or repeat our order to verify. Gave her a 20, the total should have been $17 but my husband recognized that we got $10 back. Check the receipt and it wasn't our order. The supervisor was waiting for us at the 2nd window, already knew there was a mistake and apologized. Gave us the correct change, food, extra lrg fries, and comp us our chicken nuggets. Came here since the McD's at Wal-Mart was closed. Service - +1 star - I came in and right after standing in front of a register; someone came, somewhat smiled then took my order. He was also patient even when I kept on changing my mind. I had two trays to carry and was offered help. Food - +1 star - Taking the fact that this is a fast-food place, food tasted like other McD's elsewhere so okay. They still had the Sweet Tea for a dollar-any-size so great! Alexander and the rest of the staff here are disrespectful as shit, he poured soda all over the side of my car and over me and my interior while in the drive-thru, and instead of immediately apologizing or offering me napkins, he laughed at me. When I came into the store to speak to a manager, every employee decided to laugh and think it was funny. Only until we spoke to a general manager over the phone did they decide to shut their disrespectful mouths. No one offered to clean my car and actually decided to insult it, so unless you drive a Lamborghini or Ferrari, expect the same treatment. I also had to dry clean my $150 limited edition Sharks jacket, so them comping my meal still didn't equate to the time it took cleaning my interior and clothes. Moral of this story is, don't go to this McDonald's. Absolutely disgusting customer service, but that's what minimum wage jobs' require nowadays I guess, zero IQ and zero professionalism in the workplace. Never thought I'd review McDonald's, but this is only regarding the hours of operation. On Google and on the door signage says they are open until 12 am. Came by on Sunday around 11:25 PM and all of the lights are off, including the drive thru menu boards. This is the McDonald's near where where I grew up from 5th grade on. The reason I am a fan of this place is because they always have one or two staff members that are cross-dressers or just pre-op trannies.
