Stopped by after a quick visit to the Starbucks next door. Friends had driven from LA and wanted McD for a snack. This location is in the same plaza as Home Depot off the 78. There's 2 drive thru lanes, both of which were busy when I got there. So I opted to go inside to order. There was a small line that seemed to move slowly but mostly because patrons took their time to decide on what to order. The cashier seemed nice. Did you know a filet of fish costs a whopping $4.39 ?! I ordered two so that came out to $8.78. It's best to get these deep fried fish sandwiches on a Friday when they're discounted to like $1.65 or something. At least an any-size drink right now is only $1. They have a self serve fountain soda station. I think the filet o fish was made to order as it took some time to receive. You can see your order # on a computer screen so you'll know when your order is ready. The woman who gave me my order was super nice and even offered some sauces (not sure why as the fish sandwich doesn't need one but whatever - that was a nice gesture). The main problem with this location is service. The employees are very rude. Today, I went to this location like I do most of the time, I can say I go 3-5 times a week, the self checkout machines didn't had the debit card machine to pay, so I had to wait for someone to take my payment at the counter. I ask nicely to the girl behind the counter and she told me that the machines were never there. That she worked two years there and she never seen those machines there. She was rude, and obviously she was lying. I use those machines always, it's easier than dealing with rude unhappy employees at this location. This McDs has been here for a while dating back to when it served as a savior to me and my fellow grad school alums during our class breaks! MMMM fries.... After a Home Depot run, decided on a quick breakfast at McDs. The dual drive thru is iconic at this location, although may be quite a jam when it's super busy. Nonetheless, it's efficient. Ordering was quick. 2 breakfasts meals and I wanted to upgrade to a (hot) Caramel Mocha with no whip. It's when we were at the pick up window was when there were issues. At first , the lady handed us the wrong drink. Thank god the remainder of our order was correct. It appears the employees behind the window were conversing too much to realize their mistake. They continued to converse the entire time (in Spanish). Our order was later corrected. We requested another straw and the employee handed us salt. HUH??? (We had 2 drinks and only one straw was given.) Be mindful of this area. It's located in the Home Depot shopping center and this is where the day laborers hang out. Pick up service here is the worst I've ever seen in any restaurant. I do Uber eats and have done many pick ups at many different restaurants. Here you got to the pick up counter and get a good view of the chaotic kitchen where many people are working but no one acknowledges you for over 5 minutes. Fastest service I've ever seen. They all need a raise. They work so fast and efficiently. They are really good about doordash/delivery orders. Always has them ready. Food came out fast and hot, as you should expect from a fast food joint. This review is specifically for an all star employee though: I believe her name is Estafany. She was running food out to customers. Her positive energy filled the room as she called out the numbers and with a genuine smile, found the table number and delivered the food with an enthusiastic "Enjoy your meal!" It was refreshing watching her work and her positivity was contagious. She even seemed to remember some regular customers of this location as well. Everyone of us can say we've had a miserable day on the job. Some people come in miserable all the time and you can tell they hate being there. You can tell Estefany truly liked helping people.
