I haven't been to this McDonald's in quite awhile. I dined in this time. The food and sevice were both excellent. Fresh, hot and good all around. Only thing disappointing was the pop machine in the dining area. I was really looking forward to an ice cold sweet Coke. Well, the machine wasn't set to mix correctly. My coke was more watery than sweet. A let down. You could tell by the color in the cup it looked watery not dark brown as it usually is when the canisters give out the correct mix. so, 4 stars for nice staff and perfect fries and burgers! read more

I would recommend staying away from this location. Every time I have ordered door dash it was been ice cold and the quality is off and I end up getting sick - so we tried the drive through / no same thing! Please replace this with a Shake Shack - our pallets deserve better quality food! read more

yesterday was my birthday and I have the McDonalds app and today I went to McDonald's to order my free birthday item. my dad was in the car with me he was driving so he ordered and when we got to the window to pay the girl that opened the window and said we could only get a free medium item so she asked what we would like and I told her a medium fry and she rudely replied I was talking to him not you while gesturing at my dad. this was a terrible experience, and I hope McDonalds decides to hire respectful employees in the future. read more

The place used to be good, with decent staff, but the staff have been getting worse and worse with every hire. Today 5.20.23 was the breaking point for us, we had to fight the staff at the window to get our food and then it still wasn't right, so i went in and had to fight with more staff just to het the other half of our order. Interesting how you can order a 10 piece and get 2 sauces without an additional charge but you order 20 and your fourth sauce is charged. I know it's 20 cents but still. And the nuggets were stale. Ok, went in, used the bathroom, had to kill 90 minutes (kids in tutoring) so I wanted to buy a meal (cause I used the bathroom) and work on my laptop. Stood there for 15+ minutes - they were not especially busy - could not get them to take an order. I even asked "what's ready to go in the warmer" - the person/she handling the orders was studiously refusing to answer me or turn around. Everyone (perhaps 10 people) watched this go on. Leading up to the pandemic, the Schererville McDonalds had mediocre to poor service. But to be fair every so often i would be pleasantly surprised with good service. Today's experience was terrible. Ordered online and opted for their Curbside service. So with our trunk open the young man approached the window with no mask, so we asked if he would put the order in the trunk. He responded with dropping the "F-bomb" a few times and mumbling expletives as he walked back. Sympathetic that it's odd times for all and food service employees are on the front line, but this guy had zero basic customer service skills. Contactless physical distancing and basic PPE is advertised but thus employee seemed oblivious. Advice? Better hiring, better training and term. Clueless imbeciles. read more

If you want to test out your medical insurance and visit the ER...this is the place for you. This is easily the most disgusting and bootleg McDonalds I've ever been in. The floors were greasy and nasty...the restaurant stinks like the grease trap and dirty diapers. None of the tables were clean or recently wiped off. The employees all complained loudly about how poorly this place was run and used quite a bit of vulgarity. I stopped here to use the WiFi and buy a soda...one of the soda machines was broken and the other one dispensed flat soda. Thanks for wasting my $1.07. Because the dining area was so gross...I was honestly afraid to sit at any of the tables out of fear of contracting dysentery. When I was walking I could feel my foot slide on the floor because it was greasy and poorly mopped. Was super busy. Came for lunch at 12:30 on a Friday. Went inside to eat. Floors were dirty. Bathroom was a little dirty. Only one employee working the counter the line was 4 deep. I ordered a large drink, a cheeseburger, and a mcchicken. About 8 of us waiting for our number to be called for our completed order. Food was fresh and hot. No complaints there. Found it fascinating that they had flowers on every table. Manager just walked by and said hello. Just earned a 4 Star based on that. read more

This McDonald's has the worst service I have ever seen at a McDonald's before no matter the time of day I go. The owner of this location should have a serious staff meeting. The sign is always out and it never looks open at night. The food is always cold and never they way you order it. The people who run the drive through are horrible. Today I was the first car to pull up to order but they never even greeted me and when I said something they told me just a minute. I know this is McDonald's but there should still be a level of quality. Fries were cooked in old grease. I ordered a maple bacon chicken signature on a sesame seed bun and this is what I got (Look at the picture) after being in a slow drive through line. Came in because the drive through was crazy busy. I have 2 young sons and both were having a difficult day to say the least. Food was quick and tasted great. Tables could have Been wiped down I will say, but it was at lunch and a bit busy. My 5 Stars come from the staff and the above and beyond service. The toy in the happy meal was one that my son had already and as I said it was a crazy day with them. I asked the gentleman at the register if they had others and he took the time to go in the back to see. Manager was fantastic and all about taking care of the guests as well, all with a smile. I don't know how this location is still open. So I work late into the evening and by the time I'm off there isn't much open. For the last couple of months each time I've tried to go through the drive thru there has been a problem. Can't take orders because: "grill is being cleaned", "system is down", "can't take credit cards", "orders are taking 20 minutes because we are making things fresh"-my personal favorite (there is literally nothing in your store that should take that long) and the last one simply "we aren't taking orders" This is all on top of not honoring advertising on their own menu board. They couldn't even get my order right,I asked for a McChicken plain and they have me a double cheeseburger plain.... Plus the oil in the fryers were old and have not been changed since yesterday. This is the 2nd worst McDonald's I've ever been to in the country. First, I went two weeks ago looking for the "new bbq chicken tenders" was told "they're out of them." Two weeks later tried again and was told they're "out of them" so I asked "ok... you were out of them two weeks ago, when will they be back?" She says..."well I mean we have them herethey're just frozen and take 30 minutes to thaw." WOT N TARNATION. And then you get the "can I interest you in something else?" " um no, quit trying to up sell me your garbage burger. Also went a while back and the the cashier argued with me in the drive through telling me I order two small fries (first of all who the heck would order that anyway) and I said no, multiple times. My order was way off from "what he heard." Also waited 15 minutes for someone to speak to me in the drive through speaker and 30 minutes just to get my food.
