    Can you say BURNT?!
    Heather M.

Terrible service. Got my order wrong and it's burnt. SMH. I wish they could figure themselves out. They're rarely open and when they are they can't get a simple burger right.

It was early on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't very busy. My drink came out quickly, and the food followed not long after. I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird cocktail, which was amazing, but only if you're a mezcal fan. If you're not into that smoky flavor, this probably isn't your drink. For food, I asked the bartender what burger to get, and she recommended the classic burger with cheese, so I went with that and added sweet potato fries. The burger and fries were delicious, simple, well done, and exactly what I was hoping for. The inside has a really nice dark, rustic vibe that fits the town perfectly. Staff was friendly, and overall the whole experience felt easy and relaxed. They do take reservations, but since I went early, I didn't need one. I can definitely see this place getting packed with tourists during busier times. Overall, a great spot in a charming little town. I'd come back.

Service was great, especially for a busy weekend. Our appetizer came out pretty quick, but there was a bit of a wait for our meals. Longer than expected, which is why I feel like the food was left under a heat lamp; as my chicken was a tad on the tough side. We ordered the: Margherita flatbread Nic-N-Chicken Southern Fried Ribs Brussels sprouts Sweet potato fries Sidewinder fries Gouda grits Mashed Potatoes The flatbread was fantastic! My husband said his ribs were pretty good. The grits and mashed potatoes, both rich, thick and creamy, perfect texture and flavor on both. The side winder fries had a fun shape, and fried just right. The sauce on the Nic-N-Chicken was so good it made me forget it was overcooked. It was like a BBQ based sauce with onions and mushrooms over chicken breast The Brussels sprouts had goat cheese and normally comes with bacon, which I omitted. Loved it! The sweet potato fries were cut thick and also fried to perfection. The only down side was the overcooked chicken and the extended wait which I think led to the culinary boo boo. Over all: Great food, customer service, ambience, location! I'll definitely return, you should check em' out as well:)

This place is clean with a bright ambiance. Our experience started out less promising after server after server passed out without an introduction. We waited roughly 7-10 minutes without being greeted. I finally asked the server passing by if anyone was able to take care of us. Her concern for us not being greeted was prompt and she obliged that she would be taking care of us now. I believe she mentioned she was the manager. Within a matter of moments we received our drinks and our order was taken. A DJ had been setting up for the evening. I believe they have a late night social happening on some evenings. Our food arrived shortly and it was not a small portion by any means, it was hot and tasted good. Although, I believe the brats should be served with a spicy mustard sauce which they did not have in house. They were able to accommodate some dietary requests for my toddler which I thought was wonderful. They seemed somewhat busy for a Friday evening, but there was still no wait at 6:40 pm. The bathrooms were clean just needed a bit of tidying (Tp on the floor etc.) Total for an adult meal + kids meal and 1 unsweet tea w/Tip: $35.00 Price: A bit steep, but you get large portions (please get some spicy mustard) Cleanliness: 4 out of 5 due to the bathroom Friendliness: 3 at first 5 once we found a server Recommend: Yes, but I would like to be greeted sooner Overall, A casual spot with some large portioned meal varieties. Bigger inside than expected. Thank you Jeannie we will be back for sure.

They're very good about…read moresharing specials on social and provide the local community a variety of game nights to attend. Spoiler alert, I like it. If I had friends I'd totally come here to hang out. The food...it's a sports bar so I'd go for the usual staples, burgers and wings. Starting off with their specials, a Birria Smashburger, it's a creative spin on Birria and I'd say it's well executed. Often times, Birria could be overpowering and greasy, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste. The braised beef on this burger however, found a happy medium that achieved juicy tenderness without the grease. When I say the burger is chunky, the meats speak for themselves. There's a healthy portion of Birria braised beef layered on top of two smash burger patties. The patties were juicy, medium, paired with the flavors from the Birria is a real delight. Although I'd prefer just a bit more salt on the braised beef. Burger lovers, this is a must try. Another special on their menu, Birria Regatoni Handmade Pasta, looks too good to eat, honestly. It surprised me that a local bar would make fresh pasta. 10 for effort, 7 for taste. There's something unique about handmade pasta, a texture and density that creates an unforgettable bite, and that wasn't there. However, the dish as a whole, the flavors were all there. Again, none of the Birria grease, but all of the layers of flavor. Well done. I've read reviews from Google to Yelp about how small the wings are and I had to giggle. So of course, sort of kicking myself that I missed out on their free party wings, I ordered half a dozen wings to taste. I got the Jamaican Jerk flavor, the sauce was a bit on the sweet side, not the heat I was looking for in the usual Jamaican Jerk style. The wings were crunchy on the outside, incredibly juicy, I'd totally order again, but probably try another flavor next time. I don't think the wings were teensy as some reviewers had mentioned lol. I did use the silverware for comparison. I think these are healthy sized wings. Some of them other bigger wings make me question if chickens hit the gym too. Had to take a picture of the cutlery because that knife is just adorable lol. Overall the atmosphere is exactly what a bar should be. Plenty of TVs, nice background music, a welcoming environment both indoors and outdoors for friends hang out. Our server was Abby, super friendly, grateful for her top notch service. She mentioned on Wednesdays there are wine specials, "Get drunk for half the price." So wine drinkers, mark your calendars, y'all know where you should be on Wednesdays. She did say to the table "How we doing ladies?" And I was like oooo lala I'm a lady today. The food, the ambience, seeing tables fill up getting ready for trivia, the friendly faces, all of it easily comforts my slightly bruised ego. Sorry for the long post lol, I like food and I like to write. Hoping to write my way into finding some friends in the local area.

The weather was nice, so I sat outside and it was a great atmosphere overall. I started with a glass of Malbec and the fried deviled eggs. I've never had fried deviled eggs before, but wow... those were easily the best deviled eggs I've had. I'd go back just for those. For dinner, I ordered the filet with asparagus. I asked for it medium, but it came out closer to medium well/well done. That's really my only issue and why I'm giving 4 stars. The steak itself was still tender, so I do think it was a good cut--just overcooked. When I ordered, the waitress asked if I wanted mushrooms or a gorgonzola crust. I usually skip toppings like that because I feel like they can hide the quality of the meat. I even asked if it needed it, and she said no, so I went without. I wanted to taste the steak on its own, and I think it would've been really good if it had been cooked the way I wanted. Staff was friendly, the setting is beautiful, and overall, it was a good experience. I would come back.

It seemed like a bit of a one woman show for a while there lol - she was greeting, hostessing, serving, and bartending. I can't remember her name exactly but she had blonde hair that was a little bit shy of shoulder length and she was very friendly. Whoever that was, give her a raise haha. It's always sad to me when this happens, because in my opinion having great food is the hard part. Seeing them excel in that but fail the easy stuff is hard :( What they struck out on: - host and hostess chatting when we walked up, they seemed to be complaining about something. We didn't receive any smiles. Didn't feel like they wanted to be there. Yes I understand it's a job, but warm welcomes are important and they are the first impression for a customer when they walk in. - It was 80 degrees and dreadfully humid outside since it had been raining. They had the doors open and I didn't see or feel any fans or air conditioning running. I saw a patron using a hand fan while we ate. - Since there was no air conditioning running, all the steam from the dishwashing and cooking in the kitchen came out to the dining area and lingered in the air the entire time we ate. We thought it was smoke at first but it didn't have a smell, when we walked out to leave I felt the steam leaving the kitchen area - Unbearably loud. I'm not sure why the acoustics are so bad but there is just nothing absorbing any noise. All the ruckus just echoes. Pretty sure this was mainly due to the tables being somewhat close together and the chairs having no sound buffers. It was suuuper loud when people got up to leave and when bussers were cleaning the tables. - Out of the fried green tomatoes which we were excited to order. - I ran out of water while eating. My drink didn't get filled until maybe 10-15 mins later. - Our waitress was running around, very busy. We didn't get checked on that much. It wasn't her fault. She was very courteous and was working hard. They seemed to not have enough staff on hand. - The napkins shed everywhere? When I opened my napkin a cloud of lint came up from it. It was all over my black shorts when we left. - Ends of the tables were all scratched up. - Decor is a bit of a hodgepodge. Having fake candles at each table for a place that gives southern farmhouse is an interesting choice. - The pimento cheese plate came with only 5 mini pieces of toast. We had to ask for more which was an upcharge. There's no way all the pimento cheese could be eaten on 5 pieces. Their home runs: - The food was amazing. I really liked the steak frites. I ordered the steak medium. It was nice and tender. The fries were seasoned and crispy. The chimichurri sauce was great. My friend and I both liked the pimento cheese and the bread that it came with. We weren't crazy about the house pickles. My friend loved her caesar salad. - The prices are great. Super affordable for high quality food. - Menu is expansive. - We had no wait to be seated. - No trouble parking. Location is convenient. As you can see, the list of cons is very very long. It was truly an odd thing to experience, since the place had such great food. I'm thinking the Curious Pig needs a restaurant management consultant or something? We might try this place again sometime later. We'll see.
