This McDonalds is very convenient so when we r in a hurry we use the drive thru for the most part. We quite going there about 6 weeks or so ago as several times we did not get what we ordered at the drive thru and then sometimes it was cold etc. We were in a hurry a couple days ago and got there only 10 min the cut off for breakfast we were a little concerned BUT. it was great. Sandwich was fresh everything was hot and combo was only 5.00. Staff was friendly also. Somehow I think they've gotten their act together. My husband said he heard there was a new manager. I did this review as I saw they have a 1.3 stars. If they keep it up they will deserve a much higher score than that!! read more

Today was my first try at the app. I did it wrong. The staff was rude and would not accomodate me when I was at the window! They told me I would have to go back around and do the line again! There were at least 15 cars in line. After an extremely long wait in line, very, very slow, I left without my order. The guy at the window was rude and angry. Saturday morning we thought we'd stop for a breakfast McMuffin. 3rd vehicle back from the ordering panel. 10 minutes later we made it up to the speaker and sat, and sat and sat. finally I called the store and asked if everything was ok inside because we've been waiting in the drive thru so long. We were told the drive thru was moving fine but they only 3 people working. With door dash and curbside orders they we're struggling to get orders going and would appreciate our patience. At that point the same gal came into the speaker and apologized for the wait but would be back to take our order when she could. Oh hell no! We decided to drive up the street to Hardee's. As we went around to the other side of the building the first of the two cars ahead of us was still waiting for their food?! This store has a reputation for being slow but...I understand they had staffing issues as well, But that's a little ridiculous. The lid was not on correctly so I had pop spill on my door, and me. The employee just looked at me and walked away. Another employee brought the coffee drink and said to pull to second food window. McDonald's food is something good if you're really craving some fast food. However, for breakfast, this McDonald's location almost always has egg shells in my egg. I normally order two of the sausage egg mc muffins and one of them normally has the egg shells in them. I've been giving them some hope that it was just a little mess up but it has been happening sometime every month when I get them. For me personally, I don't really enjoy crunching on egg shells when I have my breakfast. read more

I walked into the restaurant and ordered 4 McDoubles and a large fry. The manager who took my order told me it would be a while because they were going to cook fresh french fries. He offered a free ice cream cone for my wait but I asked if I could instead have extra fries. He said yes and I got a small fry in addition to my order. I can go threw the drive up in almost every Mcdonalds in the city with out having an issue but the one out here on North Cliff has issues completing an order that's right . I ordered a egg mc muffin and a unsweet ice tea and sometimes I will bet a sausage muffin instead .. I also can never get my ice tea right ? I always will ask if its unsweet like I did today and she shook her head yes and it was still sweet ? I cant tell you how many times this has happened here at North Cliff . By far the worste customer service I've ever experienced. Particularly the older heavy set woman who runs the night shift drive threw. I was pulling up for a midnight snack and waiting for the employee to take my order. About 6-7 minutes went by before I finally got some service. She says "order when your ready". So I start my order Me: I'll have a number.. Mcdemployee: PLEASE! please hold on. Now I'm usually one to call out a fast food worker for interrupting but I was in a particularly good mood that night, so I waited. 5 min past and at this point I feel irritable so I ask. Me:can I finish my order please? Mcdemployee: yes.. I've been waiting for you to finish. I swallow my anger and proceed with my order. Me: I'll have a number.. Mcdemployee: please hold on. (I'm livid) Side note: I was the only one in the drive threw at this time. After another 5 min or so I finally place my order after telling her to please not interrupt me again. I proceed to drive up to the window to pay. It was misting outside mind you. So I roll down my window cash in hand waiting for her to take my money. This sorry excuse for an employee was on her phone. So I'm sitting there awaiting for her to take my money and I know she has noticed me because I saw her look at me more then once. I roll up my window and wait. 15 MINUTES ROLL BY!! Still aknolegement from said drive threw operater. I'm furious at this moment so I knock on her window. Low and behold she opens it, tells me my total, takes my money and slams the window shut. Me: (calmly knocks on the window) Her: (opens window) Me: what is your name? Her: I don't give out my name. Me: so you are refusing to give me your name? Her: YOU HAD YOUR WINDOW ROLLED UP THERE IS NO WAY I'M OPENING MINE FIRST IT'S DARK YOU COULD BE A ROBBER (followed by blubber flappy noises I don't understand). The absolute worst McDonald's in Sioux Falls and the worst I have ever been to period. I went through the drive-through a month ago at night and my food was cold when I finally got it. Then, a couple weeks ago, at night, when not even one other car was in the drive-through, I waited for 15 minutes for one Egg McMuffin, and still never received it. Although I had paid already, I finally just drove off because, evidently, they were not going to even make my Egg sandwich. They had the place fully staffed, because I could see the many workers inside cleaning, and not once did anyone poke their head out to give an apology nor an explanation for the delay. This is absolute rotten customer service. A day later I called and told them what happened and asked them to send me a voucher for a free Egg McMuffin, but they neglected to do so. So, 2 weeks later, I stopped by there and told the evening manager, a portly man probably in his 30's, what happened and requested a voucher vs a sandwich because I was never going to eat there again but take the voucher to a different McDonald's, and he told me, "I don't need this, I've just worked a long shift." Wow, as if that is my problem. So, then I spoke to the night manager who was just getting on his shift and he was apologetic and gave me the voucher, plus, one for a Medium Fry. At least that man was decent, but the rest of the night shift needs to be replaced as well as the portly male manager from evening shift. Poo trickles down hill. There is no excuse for it. All of the Taco John's in town are always extremely fast, and Taco Bell comes in second. The McDonald's on 41st St is not as slow. Stay away from the one on Minnesota Ave. I would have given them a lot of business over the years because I work near there, but I am never eating there again. The bad apples make the whole look bad, which is too bad for the ones who are actually doing their job, I know I wouldn't want to work with a bunch of sloths, nor for a sloth with a bad attitude. I have gone here a several times in 6 years and I have NEVER EVER gotten one order right. At one point they had to redo my entire order at the pay window. THe only reason why I go back is that it's a rare treat for my kids. I hate this place. We have bets on how badly they're going to mess up our order. For example: today I got 2 Happy Meals with ranch and one #4. Simple right? No. The Happy Meals came out as Mediums, which I was charged for, no ranch, and no straws. And this was a GOOD visit!
