To expensive for 3 little tacos

Gilbertos used to be good but portions are smaller and they just jacked all the prices...$12+ for 3 little tacos ...outrageous.

The lady at the register Araceli was very rude. Didn't understand my order and was very unreasonable when I asked her to change it for me. They had us go through the drive through to reorder because she was upset? Made no sense to me. Food was mid grade, had I had some understanding with my order maybe would have given 2/3 stars but service is very Important. Flan was good tho.

I'm from San Diego the home of the original carne asada fries. Moving to the Midwest has been tough because finding legit fries that measure up to my San Diego standards have left me disappointed until this place !!!! If anyone from San Diego happens to read this their carne asada fries are just as good as Lolita's and their salsas are up to par too! Ordered a half order of fries and devoured it! Thanks for a little piece of home feeling very thankful to have found this little gem.

Doing some late night bar-hopping in Sioux Falls and we were hungry. The bartender and some fellow customers all recommended Gilberto's, so we called Uber and dropped in for a late night bite. The menu is crazy huge and really hard to narrow down, so we ended up ordering 4 items for 2 people. The elotes was perfectly slathered with butter, white cheese, chili powder and mayo. The taquitos were crunchy and meaty, my buddy said his chimichanga was awesome but I didn't try. The star of the show was the crazy fries. A huge plate of fries smothered in guacamole, cheese and tons of carne asada. Drunk food at it's best! The people watching at 1am was awesome too! Giliberto's, I will return anytime that I'm even close to South Dakota!

    LOCO BURRITO

I was looking for the largest burrito in Sioux Falls, and I believe I stumbled across it. This burrito is a steal for $15.00. It could easily feed a family of 4, or a very hungry individual such as myself. I got my burrito to go. It was ready within five minutes of me ordering it. For being that quick, the taste was fantastic! Easily one of the best burritos I've had the privilege of eating in my lifetime. It is jam packed full of ingredients. I couldn't believe all the shrimp that was included! I think some poblano peppers as well. Give the "loco" burrito a shot!

This business offered a nice setup to order online through google. The menus made it easy to navigate and choose. I would only recommend putting a small description of what each item is to help me choose. I ordered the Pork Green chili combo. It is definitely made for two people. The warm flour tortillas are genuine and very good. They are the super large ones so don't expect a small one. I ordered a pork tamale on the side but they ran out so I settled for chicken. It was pretty tasty and all. Overall I want to go back and order more items.

By that point I was already seated and committed, but that's something I wish I'd checked beforehand. Because of that, I intentionally ordered something that would come out hot. Wasn't about to order a salad or anything that didn't need to be cooked. So I ordered the fajitas with chicken, steak, and shrimp. You know how fajitas are supposed to come out sizzling on a hot plate? These didn't. They weren't cold, but you could definitely tell everything had been sitting back there for an extended amount of time. They didn't taste fresh at all. And it gets worse. Every time I've ordered fajitas with cheese and bacon anywhere else, you get solid melted cheese and crispy bacon. Here? Runny cheese sauce and bacon that had zero crispiness to it. The whole thing was a mess. The meat portions? Ok the pieces were cut up small. I was picking through all the vegetables and onions trying to find actual pieces of chicken and steak. A lot of peppers and onions. The Verdict: Plaza Azteca was a miss. The margaritas were decent but the fajitas were a lukewarm, runny, disappointing mess with small pieces of meat. Combine that with odd service and some concerning health reviews, and this is a two star experience at best. Won't be going back.

We were sat, had chips and salsa, our appetizer, and our entrees, ate (too much, it was delicious), and paid for our meal all within 20 minutes. Twenty minutes during a rush. No mistakes with our food, service was phenomenal. I literally couldn't be more impressed. I was too busy stuffing my face to take pictures of our food before we ate but everything was presented so well and we had the awesome experience of the flaming cheese appetizer (we are tourists, you gotta get the fun stuff yk). I couldn't be more impressed and delighted by La Plaza Fiesta. Such a great stop on our road trip!!

We were both in the mood for Mexican, this was very close and the ratings looked good. The bar looked impressive as we walked in and after we were seated, we started with 24oz Margaritas (see picture) to accompany our free chips, salsa & white sauce (see picture). While the Margaritas were quite large, we both commented that they seemed a bit weak on the alcohol (or it is possible that they used Reposado tequila with less flavor). My wife decided to order the Combo #2 (pork tamale, ground beef enchilada & ground beef hard shell taco - see picture) while I went with the street tacos - Carnitas (pulled pork), Pollo (chicken) & Al Pastor (spit-roasted pork). We both enjoyed the Combo, with my favorite part being the pork tamale. I'm a big fan of corn tortilla street tacos and found them all to be very good - but my favorite was the Al Pastor. A quick Google search indicated that Al Pastor is a spit-roasted pork influenced by Lebanese shawarma - marinated and then cooked on a vertical rotisserie. This carmelizes the edges, resulting in a savory, tangy and slightly sweet flavor. Whatever the science...I found it delicious! If you found this review helpful, please Share, Follow & Like.
