My husband went to Soldotna McDonald's drive through today. There was one truck in front of him. It must have been a complicated order or there was a very small staff during LUNCH, but he ended up waiting 18 minutes before they even came over the intercom only to ask him to wait. If the truck in front of him was so complicated, they should have had him pull over to the side. After the truck was finally done checking their receipts, etc they left and so did my husband. By that time he had at least two cars behind him or he would have backed out after five minutes at a FAST FOOD joint. read more

I had a mobile order that they verified at the order screen, but denied it at the window. They then gave me the wrong order, of which I handed back to them. They gave that same bag of food to the people behind me (odd?). They then had me pull to the mobile order waiting area, of which I was at for 30 minutes. They brought me my food finally and to my surprise, instead of the 10 piece mcnugget i ordered, they gave me a 5 piece in a 10 piece sized box. Sure it's very much so Karen-like to write a review about this. However, I did pay a hefty amount for that entire order and had already been waiting for so long to get that food that I was, dare I say, Hangry. If I could give them no stars I would. I found 2 women's gray hairs. I watched the same woman touch the pos system, talk down to a girl who appeared to be very young at the register because she had too many voids, not change her gloves then proceed to touch all the food on the line where the burgers and chicken were being assembled. It was foul. I tried to put that all out of my mind because we were starving but then I found the first hair and I was gagging. Such a weird concept. You order on the screen. Wait for them to bring your order to you. You cannot refill your own drink. You cannot get your own napkins, ketchup, salt. Anything. I supposed it probably saves them money from waste. But it's super inconvenient to have to wait at the counter for a refill or to ask for ketchup. The lady who helped us was friendly. The dining room was really dirty with food left everywhere. read more

Is it that hard to pay attention to the DoorDash order? I order a Diet Coke and they send me a regular coke. There are people out there with gestational diabetes and you could have done some serious damage since you're too lazy to pay attention to an order, do you really need to be paid $15/hr? McDonalds are the same everywhere- same menu, same taste, same architecture- but the difference is in the employees. Our service was fast and friendly even though our order was over-the-top complicated. Fast, warm and tasty we're our meals. We will definitely be coming back. Go McD!!! read more

July 3 we were leaving Soldotna with our trailer. Too big for drive thru so I was going to go in to order like I have in the past. Door was locked, drive thru busy, and ppl were standing outside with their phones ordering online. I asked the one worker what was going on. He said the lobby was CLOSED until 11am and all orders have to be online until then. Didn't have my phone with me, husband was in the other store. I left in disgust at how people are treated. I went into the Safeway Starbucks that had hot egg sandwiches that were much better than McDonald's. They are chasing business away with this craziness. I will NEVER darken their door again for it. Very nice building, the food was typical for McDonald's. It satisfied my junk food need. BUT, as stated elsewhere, customer service was absolutely terrible. The cashier boy had no idea what was going on. I asked for the ingredients in the "McKinley Mac" and he said he had no idea. He then made me wait while he looked on his POS system, after a few minutes he said again that he had no idea. Workers looked trashy in dirty and sloppy uniforms. What's going on with the fries being served at the Soldotna, AK and Kenai stores? The last few times that I have ordered them, they were undercooked, limp, white noodles instead of the golden, crispy fries that I should have received. In addition, the containers are significantly under filled. Quality control is really slipping. read more

This place just cant get it right! I waited in line forever...and I saw the no longer serving breakfast all day sign. when I finally got to order I wanted something healthy. no chicken breasts grilled, and no salads. I would have settled for a no-bun sandwich. When saying this was not good with nothing healthy, was told not their fault. Continued waiting forever. Passed up the first window as I had nothing to pay for. One vehicle left in front of me, and still a very long wait. When I got to the window, a manager informed me that they no longer had these items on the menu. Grilled chicken and salad were removed from the menu, one in march and one in April. I guess I was expected to know that. And now had been stuck in line forever. They have two drive ups and as normal only one open, during this time of heavy drive up business due to covid19. I did ask if they had anything to offer to compensate me for all the time, gas, and fuel fumes inhaled. Sorry was the response. They didnt even ask the vehicle in front of me to wait in drive up spot, so I could get out. I then went across the street to Arby's and the experience was wonderful as usual. they only had a side salad on the menu, but when I inquired they said they could put crispy or roast chicken on it. I waited in line 1/10 the time, food was higher quality and price comparable. I thought after this experience that I may never go back into that mcd's unless desperate or no other option for coffee or ice cream. I have stopped there more than once and waited in line only to have them be out of ice cream or have it extremely soft....had to go in a cup. So maybe I will be back and maybe I wont. Can not even find a number for the office here on the peninsula any more, let alone find an office you can go into. the Cunningham's have a all the McDonalds on the peninsula to the best of my knowledge. what a mess! read more

Terribly run franchise. Took twenty minutes to get a quarter pounder and three verbal exchanges between the cashier and back kitchen lady. Boyfriend had oral surgery and wanted your ice cream so we go there at 8:30pm and the machine is being cleaned! Why would you clean the machine before closing in the summer during tourist season?? That makes absolutely no sense!! Good thing Dairy Queen is close and waits till closing to clean!! Soldotna McDonald's is a great place to take your kids to. The food is pretty good and the staff is friendly. The McDonald's staff makes sure that you have a friendly experience and you are comfortable. I would recommend that people give McDonald's another chance. read more

Fries are not fresh.. I love McDonald's but like seriously get fresh food. Besides that everything else is good.

If I could, I wouldn't even give them one star. This is the worst McDonald's I've ever been too. I've been here a handful of times and every time is terribly the same; cold, stale fries, stale chicken nugets and everything falling out of the wraps. People working their are so rude.
