It's the same company although I'm assuming people are leaving reviews here for the bubble tea more so than the chicken. I wanted a quick lunch and it turned out I had a free bubble tea reward in my KFT app, so that enticed me in today. I always get the almond milk tea with (lychee jellies, but they call it nata jelly), usually from the Sterling Heights location, and it's always delicious. The one I got today was just as delicious. The TKK chicken I ordered was a combo and it came with their kiwi punch drink, I haven't tried it yet but it looks pretty good. Be aware that when you're redeeming a free bubble tea on the app with points, it's only valid for the base tea. I still had to pay the $0.70 or so to get the nata jelly in it. If you're hungry, I do recommend the chicken there as well and the cheese curds, they were all delicious as was the biscuit. Overall this is a convenient location for me so I will be back again at some point.

I was also told they are getting rid of the curly fries and might get some sort of chips. Was there in early June and the coffee and service were both good, as was the savory pastry I got. The main issue with this place is the noise... not for the usual reason in coffeeshops where they play music too loud, but it's a raucous and busy place, which speaks well of the business. But far worse than noisy conversation there's this bell on both the front and back entrances that plays a little five note electric tune every time someone comes in or leaves... Why is it there? Why is it needed? The fact that only a few people have noted it here perhaps speaks more of our noise-polluted lives than anything else, but it's maddening as this thing goes off literally every minute or more, constant, tintinnabulations of the bell, bell, bell, bell, bell... There was an employee taking a break on his phone listening to YouTube videos out loud, too... I guess we're all just so used to this now. So if you want a quiet cafe to get work done, this ain't it. The shop itself is relatively small with a limited number of tables but definately a comfy clean environment. This week, they wrote down the date wrong (apparently thinking I was going to put in an order a month ahead of time?), so I walked away empty-handed. I guess if you're good with having whatever's in the bins, this place will serve you well, but I seem to be on a real losing streak with the Bagel Factory. I wish they had online ordering or even just an email contact, but when none of the fixtures or decor have been updated in 30 years (and that's honestly part of the charm of this place), that kind of modern convenience is unlikely.

I went with veggie and chive cream cheeses. The bagels were good, maybe not the best bagels, but fresh and a good value. The cream cheeses were disappointing. Today is 4/12, the veggie cream cheese had a date of 4/26 ( I assume a date to eat it by). It was terrible, something was spoiled, as it was so sour. The chive cream cheese didn't seem fresh, but it was edible. I'm food safety certified and work in the industry. Prepared foods should be used within 6 days, first of all, so that date was way to long. Secondly, it was spoiled, maybe the cucumbers or some other veggie was spoiled or the cream cheese was. There were soggy looking cucumbers in it, maybe it was that. I may get bagels again here, but I won't buy their cream cheese, as there are better bagel options out there.
