The chicken and hush puppies are always fresh, crunchy and delicious. Nobody does chicken and hush puppies like this! I love that they have Pepsi products as well. Not recommended for those with fatty artery issues, but tasty none the less. The jalapeño cheese dip was a perfect companion. So yes, I've broken out into the fast food taco world and was, well, impressed. The self service salsa bar and drink station was a welcomed sight. The restaurant staff friendly, and the food pretty darn good for a quick-stop taco stand.

I had to order fries instead, which were less than desirable (and not even filling the container). My sister-in-law ordered a meal deal only to find out after paying that they were out of most sodas (even behind the counter). She needed a caffeinated cola, so had to settle for a Coke. Why weren't they informing customers ahead of time that they were out of many items? Or, why not just close your doors if you can't even maintain sufficient inventory of items to provide customers with what they want. We had 3 whoppers and we all thought there was a difference in flavor. I stated that it was missing something and my wife agreed. My s-i-l said it didn't have that char flavor. I looked at the patty, sure enough, no grill marks. Not sure if it is something specific to this location or BK in general. My wife looked up if they've changed their whopper recipes and they have. Apparently we don't eat at BK very often. They claim the patty is smaller, and it is, and that the ingredients (including the patty) are higher quality for flavor and sustainability. We all disagreed that the taste was better. Having the flame-broiled flavor is much tastier.

But it ends up being the same price as the other tenderloin options that have condiments included, so I don't see the additional charges as a big deal. Look at it this way, if you don't want all the toppings, you don't have to pay for it! But, wow, there was a LOT of fat on my regular fried pork tenderloin. So much so that, so sorry, I couldn't eat bites I had taken. I'm so sorry for the gross pic but it was a lot. It wasn't just one or two bites. It was still good and I still enjoyed it. I was very full at the end of my meal. The meat was thick and seasoned well. And the breading was nice and crunchy. My problem with the location was the gaggle of children running the pool tables. Or rather running around and playing around the pool tables. When I first got there, they were not playing around the pool tables. And then towards the end of my meal, they started a "game" of pool. I was so nervous that I was going to get hit with a pool stick that I moved to the other side of my table. Just in time, too. Apparently this place is like a Chuck E Cheese on Saturday afternoons so the parents can drink and the kids can run rampant. I really wasn't expecting that at all.
