Having been to this McDonald's several times, I've noticed some negative recurring patterns: 1. The ice cream machine is down a LOT....too much. You start to wonder why. 2. The drive-through lines are almost always long because the employees confuse orders frequently, and it takes twice as long as necessary to pick up orders that may be incorrect anyway. 3. Hot drinks are often made incorrectly and not filled up all the way. Cold drinks such as Cherry-Berry Chillers often come in melted, dripping messes....as if they were made when you first ordered them and then just sat there while the ten or more people ahead of you went through the line. Many McDonald's restaurants work like they're supposed to and function well. This one doesn't have it together. Don't take a chance here with your hard-earned money. read more

Worst. McDonald's. Ever. Reasons: 1. Cash only. 2. Drive-thru lady was abrupt, rude and tried to rush our order before we were done. 3. Only one window staffed when there were two windows ("cash" window and order window). 4. Employees inside were talking on their cell phones when they should have been working. 5. Employees outside were smoking right by the drive-thru, meaning we got a heavy dose of it. 6. Took 20 MINUTES for our order of four drinks. 7. The fact that I actually had employees argue with me blows. My. Mind. "We can't put ham on the mcgriddle" really? Don't you have ham for the egg my muffin? Pull up to the window and get the wrong order. Look at my receipt and find out I got charged for the wrong things. I'm not refunded the money. They continued to argue with me about what I ordered. The food was hot and the people were very friendly but we were visiting family and needed something for the kids to do while waiting. The play place was very hot. The temp outside was in the low 90's but it was certainly cooler outside. There were too many older kids playing and wrestling. Not really a good environment for the 1st and 3rd graders I had with me. read more

We were in line too long to be given COLD fries. This is TOTALLY ridiculous and the reason why I don't care for McDonald's anymore. Serve customers food that you wouldn't mind eating yourself. Please hire workers who want to be there to serve customers. read more

It's a good place for college students as it's not very expensive and the food is well.. McDonalds. But the wait is OUTRAGEOUS. I'm always told to pull into a parking spot to wait for my order when all I'm ordering is fries! The service could be a lot better but the food is what it is. read more

This has to be the worst McDonald's in America. If I could give a -5 stars I wouldn't hesitate. Took me almost 30 minutes to get a McFlurry one night with hardly anyone in front of me. Have been there several times and been told the ice cream machine is down. One day I went to both locations one after the other and both locations said there machines were down. Right. Makes me think they are just too lazy to be bothered to do their job. So one day I decided to call them to see if there ice cream machine was working before wasting my time waiting in line. I called them over 10 times and nobody bothered to even answer the phone. This is the most nasty, ratchet McDonald's you could waste your money at. The McDonald's by the gas station on hwy 12 messes up our order EVERY time we have been there. It just keeps getting worse. Tonight we were given hot flat drinks without being told before we ordered that there's no ice. Sweet tea was given even though the receipt says unsweetened. HOT. Food was cold. My quarter pounder was raw pink in 3/4 of the patty. Fries were hard. Almost like they got fried twice. They NEVER have apples. Avoid this location. Unless you like being lied to and stolen from. If you work there and can read this, do better. Have some pride in your work and stop waiting for someone else to do your job. There's no excuse for this. You're keeping yourself down. read more

Stopped by to pick up food for the family. The girl at the 1st window had on a mask. I get to the 2nd window, and a worker is bagging food, completely without a mask! The young lady that hands me, no, ATTEMPTS to hand me the bag, has NO MASK ON!!! I asked, "Aren't you supposed to all be wearing masks?" She looks at me perplexed and I answered for her.... "Yes ma'am, you are and I need a refund." She then yells to the back, " She said aint we 'spose to be wearing masks? She want her money back." Then she laughs... Someone says, "We don't have none." Speaking of the "MASKS", apparently. Did anyone in the building have a clue of how serious the spread of COVID-19 is? Be mindful of those that prepare your food! Breakfast is usually very good, but if you go late at night, they rarely get your order right, the quality of the food is usually horrible (stale buns, burger soaked in ketchup), with rude service, and you may be the 5th car in line and wait 45 minutes for a horrible experience. read more

I have had it with this location. Always rude; Manager will just start yelling in front of everyone. Drive thru is always backed up but slow even when no one is there. I sat at the speaker for 10 minutes in the 27 degree weather and they were not phased. I tried to politely let them know but apparently I know nothing and my opinion does not matter because they responded with "Okay, whatever, baby". Order is always wrong. They will tell you they do not serve something because they are too lazy to make it. "We do not have sweet tea at this hour" Ummm.. You're Mcdonalds...of course you do. I could post cons all day and I cannot think of one nice thing to say other than they are never getting another penny from me. Hopefully people will follow and get them shut down or enough attention that someone above their so called manager comes in and gets them into gear. read more

I went inside and order French fries with light salt. As soon as I submitted my order the woman in the drive through said a customer sent some fries back because there was no salt on them. The woman that had just taken my order tells her "Don't throw those fries away; I need them" By health department regulations anything served to a customer and returned must be discarded - common sense. I told her to refund my money because I wasn't accepting any good from them. The woman tried to argue with me but I did my best to ignore her. As I was getting into my vehicle I saw her sitting in a booth by the window flipping me the bird. I called the manager the next day. She offered a free meal. I told her if I returned that I was certain to whip her *#+ so I'd rather stay away. read more

I normally frequent this McDonald's b/c of the service at the other McDonald's across from Kroger is horrible but this McDonald's has officially been deemed just horrible!! Just left there where I ordered 2-6pc. mighty kids meal w/ 2-bbq, 2-go gurts, 2-HiC, (1-boy, 1-girl). Had to repeat my order 3x, & cashier was in such a rush that I had to open door and hand her my card as she leaned all the way out of the window b/c I couldn't roll up due to the truck in front of me, was only given 1-mighty kids meal...cashier ordered what SHE wanted me to have in my mighty kids meals AND once they realized I indeed paid for 2-kids meas they put the wrong food in the 2nd kids meal in a box and passed it out of window....CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!! read more

Other reviewers have hit the proverbial nail on the head, but just to reaffirm...: 1. Service is absolutely horrendous. The staff makes you feel as if you are inconveniencing them just by being in their presence. One time, the staff got my order wrong, and the manager wanted to argue with me about it instead of trying to correct the error. The people here just don't care. 2. The ice cream/milkshake machine is always "mysteriously" down, and at night, for some "mysterious" reason, they will only accept cash. 3. One time, my friend complained to corporate about this location, and the following day, he received a personal phone call from the manager -- which ordinarily would earn brownie points for the restaurant, but the manager was very dismissive and begrudgingly offered him "a free meal if he ever came by when [that particular manager] was in." How tempting. 4. You may or may not receive what you actually order. Place your bets, folks. 5. I actually live closer to this location, but if I ever get a hankering for McDonald's, I will drive across town to the other location. All in all, this is probably one of the worst McDonald's locations I have ever visited. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if any of the problems will be resolved anytime soon, as people still flock to it simply because it's a McDonald's. read more

I've only eaten at McDonalds twice in the last year, but when I did the staff was incredibly rude. Literally the worst service I've received from any place in Starkville. Once they actually told me they aren't taking orders inside, to go to the drive thru. The inside lobby is supposed to be open 24 hours. You have to be brave to come here at night, as there is sometimes a large party or gathering in the parking lot they includes dancing, fights, and loud music. read more

The service is terrible I had to ask someone to take my order when I go inside breaking the workers up front up from talking to each other.
