It had been a minute since I had eaten McDonald's and uesterday I had a craving especially after finishing three back-to-back meetings. The Big Mac has always been my favorite, and their fries come in as a close second favorite. The Big Mac Combo was the only option for me and the Coke with free refills made the deal even better. The drive thru had a linr, so I decided to make the trek inside and just eat lunch there. The Big Mac was prepared seconds after I placed the order and it was quite hot. The fries were also good and there wasnt too much salt added this time. Ive always eaten my fries with ketchup and I got about ten small ketchup packs and it made the difference. I had a very disappointing experience in the drive-thru at this McDonald's. I was both picking up an order and placing an order, and when I explained that for personal reasons I couldn't get out of the car, the cashier at the last window said it was fine. However, the manager, Catherine F., came over and very rudely told me, "We can't do that. Well, it's your job, so you need to get out." That level of disrespect from management is unacceptable. I ended up leaving without my order and will not be returning. When leadership treats paying customers this way, it sets the tone for the entire staff. I used to find this to be the most reliable McDonald's in the Sterling, VA area until today. I needed a quick lunch to fill a growling stomach, as I ran errands for a friend recuperating at home from out-patient surgery (e.g. pick up meds, groceries, etc.). It had to be a quick lunch, hot and do its job - feed the hunger. So, what couldn't get "screwed" up? A Happy Meal. Keep it simple - I thought (stupidly). One Happy Meal of a hamburger, double fries and small Diet Coke was what I ordered. I received a Happy Meal that consisted of Chicken McNuggets, double fries and a small Sprite. Huh!!?? When I questioned the order, the server stated "I forgot what you ordered, so I ordered for you - what I thought you would like." Hmm. Sorry McDonald's - I will never eat a Chicken McNugget nor drink a Sprite. I ate the fries and ditched the rest of the food. Unfortunately, this lack of service and attention to detail was a trait often experienced at the Popeyes across Route 7. At Popeyes, you were always guaranteed to receive a wrong order - it was a gamble as to what you would/will get in your order. Maybe some of those Popeyes employees moved over to this McDonald's along with both the poor customer satisfaction attitude and lack of attention to detail. Maybe it is/was poor listening skills. Maybe it is/was a language barrier. Whatever it is/was it appears to be catching and spreading to this McDonald's now. While clean and inviting outside, I sadly will not be returning. Solid McDonalds. Renovated after the last one burned down and this is a big improvement over the last facility. Two lanes for drive through and I use it a lot for breakfast, a few times for lunch, and I stop in for the $1 soda/tea. I don't usually review fast food but the reviews on here are ridiculous and unfair. Fast, food is consistent, servers are always friendly and never have I had a bad or incorrect order. Just cannot see giving any fast food 5 stars but really well run drive through. read more

I ordered one McDouble with no cheese and one regular McDouble. Other locations do not have a problem with this and give me the "coupon" discount. But this one changed my order to one double hamburger and one McDouble, adding a dollar or so to the total. It took 14 minutes to get through the drive-thru line. I'm writing a review for this McDs due to the amazing customer service I received from the Manager of this McDs. I came here in the morning and was craving an Oreo McFlurry along with breakfast. They hadn't started the soft service machine yet and I had already paid at the drive-thru. The Manager provided a refund and then gave me a fountain drink while I waited and he was just so hospitable. He apologized for the inconvenience, fixed the machine and personally brought out the Oreo McFlurry to me. You don't see much of this type of customer service anymore. Bad experience here today. Ordered a single burger and when I got to the drive-through window they asked me to go park in a spot and wait. For a single burger!?! Then, a young gentleman came to my car and asked what I ordered. I told him, and he looked at the bag he was holding and handed it to me. I opened it up and it was a 20 count McNugget & 2 orders of fries. I then realized that the young man couldn't read and/or speak English. He had no idea what was in the bags he was handing out. I came to the new McDonald's, which they open a few weeks ago, with my family. And to be honest it was smaller than I wouldn't expected to be of the inside. I was hoping they would redesign McDonald for two floor and one basement like the old one but instead they just have one floor like the other McDonald. But other that it look really good how they designed and it have a self-order machine too. So I give it a 9/10. read more

If you want to enjoy your cold fries and chicken McNuggets without your sauce cup that you paid for, this is the place to be! However, most importantly, the service at this restaurant tops all the other fast food competition in their area. You should definitely make sure to visit the nice, pleasant lady at window one, who will proceed to lecture you on how you should have first said your order was a mobile order (Even though I did.....)! After a tiring day at work, and visiting 2 other McDonald's locations prior to this one (On purpose I assure you), I found the extra spent gas from my car was definitely worth the wait for the incredible service and for the cold, rare, pre-made burgers that I got! I've frequented this establishment roughly six times in the past four months. The first time was the last time I would step foot in the place. Oddly dark, two floor building with no drive through - corporate should shut this place down just for the design of the building, let alone zero drive through. The darkness also gave the look of the place being old and dingy. They shut down the one on Elden, I think this should be the next to go. Just replace it with a better McDonalds, with a drive through. Mobile orders work "mostly there" (2 small hiccups, but they didn't mess up my fries, no harm no foul). The good thing about this McDonald's is the facility is kept very clean. Now the bad. I entered in and the order taker was more interested in her smart phone. She was curt, not friendly and obviously felt bothered dealing with me. I ordered a Crispy Deluxe Chicken Sandwich meal. The food took a little time but they were very busy so okay. When I got my order I sat down and opened the box. The meat was maybe 1/2 the size of the roll. Half the toppings were outside the sandwich, the rest only on half of it. I had to rearrange and replace the toppings. The meat was slightly overdone a bit dry. The fries were just warm and they were limp and soggy. Rarely do the employees listen to what you are saying and repeatedly get your order wrong. This may be due to a language barrier or lack of menu knowledge. Burgers are sloppily made with no care in regards to appearance or how much lettuce/condiments they apply. Well, there is no drive thru and the play area is outdoors. So in the winter/rain it is not a good place to play. There are two levels for eating which is nice if don't mind stairs. Not a good place for wheelchairs. The service is very very slow, ordering and receiving your food. On the plus side the food was very hot, love hot fries! read more

I have been to this McDonald's plenty of times. I have never had a good experience. The service is always slow and the food is never good. I've only ever been responded to by McDonald's once and that's because I got a raw burger and couldn't eat it.
