I will start by saying my s/o and I stumbled across Jimmys after an event. First, there's plenty of parking across the street (Municipal parking). You'll cross the street back into Jimmys. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has a bar type feel, with the actual bar right as you enter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got seated by the window and ordered a platter, cheesesteak, and poutine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My goodness- when I say the food is made with love, I am not kidding. There are so many restaurants in the DMV area, and what I've noticed is that a lot of the food is just okay and expensive. Jimmys has really affordable dishes, generous portions, and the taste and quality are there. We loved the cheesesteak and poutine. I was thoroughly surprised. Simi was our server and she was so kind, knowledgeable of the menu, and just all around great energy. We are looking forward to coming back to Herndon just to make sure we hit up Jimmys again!

The Beef on weck was good. The wings, total yum!! The beer!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We loved this tavern!! Great food, great fun!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Go Bills!!

I wasn't sure what to think when I walked in. The first thing I noticed was the smell of smoke when I opened the door. Thankfully, smoking is confined to the bar. The dining room is smoke-free. The ambiance is Buffalo NY. I had the Buffalo platter which included wings, a beef-on-weck sandwich, kielbasa, and pierogies. All delicious and for a reasonable price. The mango cart wheat beer was one of the best beers I've ever had. Service was quick and friendly with the exception of getting the check. We had to flag down the waiter to ask for it. To be fair, he was pretty busy. I would have been bothered much more if the food was slow.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is a huge Bills team fan, gives sports vibes, locals all around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went for a friends birthday dinner - The food was overall okay, nothing spectacular & it didnt really stick out. We ordered the hottest wings and there was literally no spice to it. Service was ok too, our server was nice but very slow. We had to flag him down a couple of times just to order or get refills. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cool part was in the back, at night theres an outdoor bar with super loud music and full of people having a great time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They even have outdoor heaters which i greatly appreciated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall its a bit out the way for me, and probably wouldnt go back unless we are in the area.

A good bar for Buffalo fans - they are all-in. The food they do well is wings: Buffalo wings in the style of the Anchor Bar. I prefer Duffs, but these are still pretty yummy..

    MarciBoCu with friends enjoying JOTT.

We are never disappointed at Jimmy's. And, sometimes our favorite eatery gets attention from world travelers. Recently a friend was coming to visit. We sent him links to three great Herndon eateries. He responded, "Oh, Jimmy's has the menu with the most to offer." Fast forward, we're at JOTT - I order my fav - the Buffalo Wrap...so good! Hubs orders his fav - the Philly Cheesesteak. Our friend, the world traveler ordered the noodle soup - which he devoured - and, the salmon salad. He clearly enjoyed his meal. A few days later, he's traveling again and reviewed a meal at a place in another town, in another country... "The salmon was just OK. (If you want salmon, you are better off going to Jimmy's Tavern in Herndon!) We couldn't agree more.

    Saturday Night Prime Rib

A random FB post lead us to Jimmy's which is about 30 minutes away from us in Arlington. We first went on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed a beef on a weck (basically a Buffalo version of a French Dip) it comes with fries, cole slaw and pickle - it was excellent and only $13 (Feb 2026). We returned the following Saturday night for their Prime Rib special- 10 oz prime rib, baked potato and vegetables plus choice of soup or salad - again excellent and for only $19 (larger portion is a few dollars more). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good choice of beer and wine, friendly staff and overall good vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Free parking in the municipal lot a block away. Next time we'll have to come for the live music.

Philly with mushrooms, Jameson and Vienna Lager. Outstanding meal!

This place is seriously epic. Grab a chair and tell Elliott the bartender you want a Philly cheesesteak wit WIZ add mushrooms, pint of Vienna Lager, and a shot of Jameson. This is one of the best meals I've had in a minute, the cheesesteak is legit, this is better than the shops in Philadelphia, the portion and flavor are on point. Each bite into that Amoroso roll you can hear an eagles fan complaining about something, it's that authentic. I like Herndon. God Bless America.

Great service and very good Cheese Steaks. The fries are way too salty! Almost inedible tbh. If you get fries, ask for light salt.

Wow, what a quaint British pub in the middle of Vienna. Parking is a little tight for this area,…read morebut you can definitely find some spots in the back on a weekday. I ended up biking and there's a bike stand really close by. My friend was craving fish and chips, so we ventured out this way. Because we came on a Thursday they had a deal going where if you ordered a pie, you could get a beer for free. Of course I had to partake, so I ordered the special pie, which was a masala, chicken, curry pie, and it was quite good. A bit small for the price point but with the beer included totally worth it also because their fries are so good. I could demolish over a pound of those fries. They were thick potato and maybe the extra added bonus of having to use a glass ketchup bottle added to it. My friend and I were also taught how to properly hit the ketchup bottle to get the ketchup out by the bartender. You find the 57 on the bottle at an angle and bump you palm there that instead of hitting the bottom and hoping and praying that ketchup comes out. It actually worked or at least it was more efficient than trying to hit the bottom of the bottle upside down. I had never had a hand pumped beer before, but it was quite good. They are a warm beer rotating and it was quite good, it especially paired well with the pie or fish and chips.

My interpretation of the gist of what everyone was complaining about was that they used to come here all the time (as did I years ago, but it's been a year since being here) and they didn't like the new, slimmed down menu... and they definitely hated the prices here now. Our service was ok, nothing special. I feel like the majority of the servers are very young and might not have the training, nor experience to understand what true service is, not just taking orders and bringing food. The menu was nice. We liked their "Everyday is Sunday" section of the menu, so we tried 2 orders (4 persons) of the pork chop tomahawk and 1 order (2 persons) of the Côte de Boeuf. We started with their Scotch Egg - WOW! Really flavorful with a great texture, inside and out. Definitely a very nice way to start. Cocktails and wine were a hit here for sure! Especially Jarad's G&T, which we got a couple of. Main dishes were great! Plenty of food too!! The spices on the crust of the porkchop tomahawk were so tasty and the temperature was spot-on! The steak in the Côte de Boeuf was incredible! Perfectly seasoned and at that absolute perfect temperature too! The carrots that came with this were very nicely done, but the potatoes stole the show! This dish came with OUTSTANDING Fondant potatoes... They had a great, smokey flavor to them, as if they were basted in pork fat. The meat was perfectly textured and flavored. Overall - While this is no longer the Hunter's Head that many came to know, love, and enjoy, I feel they're doing a decent job here. I'll definitely return, as I want to try their fish & chips!

The cozy atmosphere, stone hearth, and warm decor make it the perfect place for a date night, a special occasion, or just a great evening out. The food is outstanding. The crab dip, the housemade pasta, and the burger are all incredible -- clearly made with real care and quality ingredients. It projects an English modern cabin vibe, but with a touch on whimsy (see mustache coat hangers on booths!). The fireplace is centrally located and gives off an essence of coziness. Complimenting the ambiance, the service was great! The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations. We came for brunch and ordered the breakfast burger and pork belly breakfast sandwich. We also split the avocado toast as a starter (we were starving!). The avocado toast was perfectly prepared - toast was cripsy on the outside and chewy and thick on the inside. Ample smattering of smashed avocado with the fixin's. The burger was very good and my friend said they would totally order it again. The pork belly breakfast sandwich held together perfectly despite the inside being heavy. Pork belly remained perfectly crunchy and it had a heavy helping of melted cheese that was not overpowering. Brunch was amazing and we want to go back and experience the patio when it's warmer and also some live music! Such a great vibe and good food!
