For what it is, this location is one of the best you'll find. They move relatively quickly despite being busy basically all of the time. Orders are accurate and corporate pricing is nice (cheaper than franchise locations). Employees are well-trained and effective. Mcdonalds is mcdonlads. No question about it. I personally know the owner (he owns 14 mcdonalds in this metro area) and he does a fair job at taking care of them all.. Few need work but that's a story for another day. Reason why I rated this 4 stars was simply based on the look and fell and the service. As others say this is a huge and fancy mcdonlads. No plastic looking decor here. Stone flooring, a couch with nice red carpet underneath it. There might have been a gas fireplace somewhere in there too. Anyway the family and I were heading to cottage grove and stopped at this mcdonalds that morning to grab something to eat on the way. I was talking to my grandfather when a manager called out our order. As I turned a second manager told us our order. I heard them the first time but I thought it was nice that a second manager gave us a friendly reminder. One thing I noticed is the sausage patty looked to be more tender and not over cooked like the Hillsboro location. read more

one word, rude. lady at the register let it be known that changing an order is too hard. we had a a promo from the app that let us buy one and get one free on any McDonald's McCafe item. my girlfriend wanted one with chocolate chips so the cashier assumed we wanted two of the same and when I asked for a different one she immediately showed that she didn't agree with what I wanted. I'm sorry, free or not, I can choose. the customer before us had switched their order around and she didn't get any attitude. maybe it had something to do with the fact that we are younger and of Hispanic decent? well after that, she assumed we were dining in after I had said to go. our food was called on a tray and I asked the worker who called the order out if we could please get it to go and she said yes with an attitude and grabbed our food and threw it in the bag . we came in after driving a couple hours from Eugene and were hungry and just wanted to get our order and eat! the worst part about it all, is that the woman who gave us our food was a supervisor or better (button up blue shirts are usually leads or supervisors or even managers ) and she set a bad example by having that type of attitude. ive worked in fast food and I'm sorry, but if you hate the job, find another. a little humility goes a long way. we should have just gone to Burger King had we not been hungry and in a place we don't know, I would have asked for a refund immediately. It's McDonald's. I come here for drive-thru on days I am particularly lazy and don't care what I ingest. There's a double drive-thru, to make it more efficient, but sometimes the lane next to you, the driver's are aggressive to be next, surprised there's not more minor accidents there. read more

Not a great location. The staff is occasionally rude, and they often don't honor national or regional/local area specials the company is offering. The food is generally good for a McDonalds, and they keep getting my business because they are close, but if there was another one nearby, even if it was a bit more of a drive, I'd go there. read more

Usually the service here is friendly and swift, but lately it has been lagging behind drastically. Orders are getting messed up, food takes forever and don't quote me on this, but I suspect the men's bathroom may be haunted. Love asking for fresh fries and getting stone cold fries. No exaggeration. Love getting rock hard chicken nuggets and soda that tastes like water. Every single time. Seriously how hard is it. And your drive thru lady doesn't even say a thing the entire time? Just hands us the bag and that's it? Seriously. The worst customer service. Oh and don't forget. I absolutely love this restaurant and anytime i am up before 10am i go here for breakfast. They have an amazing sausage egg mcuffin sandwich and it is my absolute favorite. Now that it is the holiday season they serve hot chocolate and i come here almost every day to get the peppermint hot chocolate and i have to say it beats starbucks out of the water as well as the price. I highly recommend coming here to try the hot chocolate. read more

I live nearby and have gone 3 or 4 times. Each time I've been happy with the food and the staff. Sometimes I think people are so jealous of individuals who feel no regret or remorse poisoning themselves with junk food that they need to rate these stores badly. Seriously people? Its a McDonald's. People smoke and take drugs and shoot guns, I love when others are so self absorbed, high-and-mighty idiots that they deem themselves worthy to impose their will on other people since "they know better." I have yet to see one of these people on TV showing how they are capable of living forever or avoiding cancer or aids or whatever ends up killing them. Go to this McDonald's once in a while and get nice semi-plastic Big Mac and Fries with a Coke and enjoy the fact that we are all creatures of pure will and pleasure. I've eaten here, had some less-than-good experiences and have had a manager give me a make-good, but I'm beyond wanting one, and very annoyed about today's service. Ordered: real beef quarter pounder, and a small salad. Ordering in the drive-through was very hard; as has happened before, the woman at the order/cash register station kept trying to get me to bump up my order (full meal, etc.). When I picked up the food at the next window, I could tell things were not running so well . . . they had placed drinks near the window and tried to give them to me, even though they didn't know whose they were. But they gave me the burger and salad, and when I opened them at home? Burger: puny, dried up, nothing like the former 1/4 pounder, and cheese was smooshed all over both hideous, mushy bun halves, holding it all together like a greasy mortar. Salad: wayyyy too little for $1.95. Insult to injury: the tomatoes taste like something I'm afraid to know about. This food is a shameful corporate grab for hard working folks' money. But wait. There's more. I whipped out the receipt, called the store's number, got a guy who really didn't want to be bothered when I asked for the manager, and simply put the phone down on a counter while he went off to do something or other. After I held for about 8 minutes, I hung up and tried again. That phone still hasn't been turned back on three hours later! Perhaps they were afraid it was an even more serious complaint. Between the food and the service, I will never go to this (perhaps any) McDonalds again. And how was your dinner. read more

I ordered two of the Signature sandwiches. Other than the buns, they were NOTHING like the menu picture. I understand the menu pictures are highly glamorized, air brushed, and the food normally does not exactly match the marketing image, but come on! These looked like the a regular bacon cheese burger with some extra sauce and a few things that were supposed to be onions. The meat was a preformed patty, not the plumper image. The cheese looked like Velveeta, and it was barely warm. Highly disappointed and recommend you think twice about ordering the "Signature" sandwich at $5.35 each. If you want to pay that kind of money, get the quarter pounder with cheese or go to Carl Jr's or Jack in the Box. On the positive side, other aspects of this particular McDonalds are good. The service was above average, the facility was clean, and we love the french fries. It was just these sandwiches! read more

I am a huge McDonald's french fry afficionado, and am pretty picky and sensitive about getting them hot and fresh. MickyD has an official mechanism for accommodating customers like me. There's a button on the cash register that flags my order to wait for the next batch of fries out of the fryer. This particular location always serves up cold fries, and even manages to defeat this official mechanism. What they do is, in the interest of expedience, all their fries are pre-loaded into the french fry cartons (small, medium, large, etc) and left under the heat lamp. This means that the fries are guaranteed to dry out and cool down before being served. If a customer asks for a "fresh batch", they will dutifully go through the motion and make you wait until the next batch emerges from the fryer. THEN THEY SERVE YOU ONE OF THE PRELOADED PORTIONS. The only way to ensure that the "fresh batch" request is fullfilled is to hover around the counter and watch the fry-making process like a hawk, then reject the order if they didn't do it right. I've done this once, but prefer not to publicly appear like an OCD moron, so have not done it again. I just try to avoid this particular location, but unfortunately it is the closest one to my house and the next nearest one is several miles away. read more
