Have only been through the drive through of this locations but haven't had any issues. The line has moved at an appropriate pace and my order has always been correct. It's a busy location so there's typically a solid line at the drive through but they keep it moving. read more

A sign said we are open for dining in.... I went in.... it was true. First time eating inside a McDo. Ordered Oreo cookie ice cream mix. The place was clean and service timely. Few other customers came in. At the end of my meal while I was checking Facebook about to put a review, a man sitting in a quarter in a corner started coughing. Even though there was social distancing and he was 7 meters away I decided to leave. Another customer did the same. This is why I did not take any pictures. This McDonald's was pretty good. They were fast and very courteous. The only complaint I have is now they are directing you to the Automated machine to order your food even if no one is in line at the counter. They need to realize that some customers would prefer to just order and person and not have to flip through a machine. Why is this restaurant so Hit and (mostly) Miss. Staff are always pleasant. But the cleanliness is always an issue. Maybe because of the partisans in the lobby and the drink fountain being out of sight? They don't check the lobby often so I have to wipe my table, the drink station can be clean but is usually sprayed with soda. I do like that they keep lemons available, unlike other MCD which have given up. This is a high traffic location and occasional homeless or unstable people come by with no issues. MCD app on your phone will save you money. Television is usually on news, but sometimes sports. It is a newer style location, without a play area. So it always has potential. They just need to have a bell or something to at least run someone through the lobby to catch stuff. Not horrible. I don't give more than four stars on chains, so this place is doing okay. read more

Great service, but the manager was very rude and she was yelling at employees the entire time

Manager on duty was extremely friendly and I noticed that he is personal with customers that come in regularly. Very happy to help with whatever a customer needs. I bothered him twice and he seemed eager to help both times. All employees also seemed to be friendly and I overheard a male employee correct a problem with another customer. He was extremely apologetic and kind and took care of the matter as best he could. All customers were greeted and taken care of promptly. The food we received was hot and tasted great! We even ordered seconds. In addition to this, the dining room and bathroom were both clean. This McDonald's is by far the best I've been to in Tucson. Working at a McDonald's (and a pretty crappy one at that) really helps me appreciate everything being done here. This location seems to be very well-run and has outstanding customer service! I'm very, very impressed and want to come to this location more often. read more

Was down the street going to stop in but called to see if the ice cream machine was working and they hung up on me. So I guess it wasn't but I will keep driving past them. I like to get a sundae after a meal and sometimes just come by for a sundae. I live on Greasewood and Ironwood Hills, but this McDonalds seems to rarely have ice cream available and I'm not going there anymore because they are inconsistent. One time, the server said they don't serve ice cream anymore, but 2 months later they were serving it. Forget you, I'm off to Burger King or Wendy's but no more at McDonald's. I love their breakfast but they are not the only show in town and I like places that don't have attitudes and McDonalds on Ironwood Hills seem to have a lot of that. read more

Soooooo clean!! I can't tell you how much I hate gross, dirty McDonalds but this location was immaculate, all the fixtures are super updated, smelled good, there were even roses on every table! 1st thing was I used the app to order my food. Waited there forever because the app dint went through. Not a big deal. So I went in and place me Order through the drive thru instead. I told the lady "I have a coupon for the $1 fries" she said okay. Went on with my order and paid and saw that I did not get the discount. Went through the drive thru and ordered 2 hot n spices, a medium fry & a cheeseburger. After I paid, I was told to pull forward to the reserved drive thru parking because they were just waiting for my frys, after waiting 10 minutes, I got my frys & not only were they cold, they forgot one of my sandwiches. I went inside & told them one of my sandwiches were missing, they replaced it but the manager had an attitude & had no customer service whatsoever. This Location has been spiffed up over the last 6 months with extremely comfortable seats. They're like those beds that conform to your curves. Plan to eat inside and veg-out awhile. I sense this McDonald's is in kind of a competition with the one at Speedway and Alvernon, down the road, which is rated a little higher. So, to try to make some points, they have DEALS here that some of the other McDonalds don't. Like for breakfast at this time, at this location, you can get two Sausage & Egg McMuffins for $3.33, but the other location does NOT have that special! There are a couple of real characters that work behind the counter here. If a Hollywood sitcom of a Fast Food joint was ever wanted, THIS would be the place to film it. One works in the morning, the other works at night. If they ever worked on the same shift, there might be a food fight. It does not diminish the eating experience at all to share space with people who are so outlandish, they might be from Mars. I find characters like that quite likeable. read more

snarky treatment over wrong order.... I've been going to this location for a few months now and there's a consistent lack of organization. When you first walk in, customers are all standing around asking: "are you next?" "are you in line" "where's the line". I try to give the benefit of the doubt, so I've attempted many time slots, different shifts, etc. I've even tried when it's dead. There can be 2 people in the place, and nobody at the drive-through... yet it takes 5 minutes and 3 people to make a 'large iced coffee'. Today was the worst ever! It was mid-morning with very little business. When the standing customers agreed it was my turn (a line would help), I stepped up, ordered my usual large iced coffee. Plain, no syrup. When my number was called.. I picked up my coffee and there was some sort of brown goopy stuff on the inside rim under the lid. I can have NO Gluten, and was unsure of the 'syrups', so I went back up to the front. It became a confrontation. And actual confrontation. I was told it's normal; it's syrup. i asked for no syrup, no it's liquid sugar. I asked if there was gluten in the syrup. With a snippy attitude he looked at the label and proclaimed it fine. OK.. the observed 'liquid sugar' was clear. NOT Brown! So what is the brown stuff? The guy huffed, puffed, rolled his eyes and said," I don't have time for this" and left. WHAT???? Another guy just stared at me like I had 3 eyes. i finally said, "I'm not comfortable with a mystery ingredient, and with GREAT snark, my large iced coffee was replaced. OK, it's a little example. BUT, while I was waiting, a string of people came in with wrong orders received from the drive-through. One guy had a substandard burrito. The item was examined and debated. Another lady brought in a completely wrong order, and it ALSO was inspected.. at LENGTH, and finally replaced. I was hopeful I'd be able to eventually discuss gluten with the manager and possibly feel safe eating SOMETHING... ANYTHING at this location. That's looking like a long shot. On the up side... RE: TERRY, UNPROFESSIONAL NIGHT MANAGER - Store #24255, 5445 E. Speedway, Tucson, (520)323-7275. I went to redeem a coupon for 1 free item (blue paper). After requesting a Double QP w/cheese, TERRY said the receipt says buy 1 get 1 free QP. I corrected TERRY & repeated that I am redeeming the blue "free item" coupon, not the buy 1 get 1 free receipt coupon. Regarding his error, TERRY said "I'll let it slide this time" w/a condescending tone & look. After 10+ minutes, I received my 2 item order. When I got home, I found that the order was incorrect - a QP. My wife&I returned to the drive up, informed TERRY of his mistake, & asked him to correct it. TERRY claimed he did not tell me he would give me a Double, the order was correct & that the receipt said "but one get one free." A total cowardly lie. My wife again asked him to correct the order to which terry replied "I have to charge you." After my wife abruptly refused, TERRY cowardly threatened to "call the cops if you don't leave." During the entire exchange, he displayed a "smart ass" condescending attitude & tone, reminiscent of recent white privilege/white supremacist incidents. We called McD Corporate - closed. We left a detailed message. We will soon commence on filing a formal report against TERRY, the lack of professionalism, and the belligerency displayed, which goes well beyond an incorrect order. We usually have excellent service with managers like Memo and employees like Annabelle & Sam. If I return, I will be recording all forthcoming exchanges. read more

After all the bad reviews, horrible employee service misinformation and media hype I tryednot to give up on McDonalds or at least take it alot lighter when it comes to their menu but on this one recent occasion I ordered simply a chicken bacon ranch salad and a Powerade. Everything looked ok when I initially grab my bag of food but once I arrive home and open my salad there was already dressing on my lettuce so I decided to call the restaurant and app do they pre dress the salad now and the manager told me yes they do and this is a new sauce that helps keep the chicken fresher..... i cook so I inquired about the ingredients in the sauce and he had no answer... in my frustrated state I called a different store location to ask about their salad plating and a different store manager stated immediately once I started explaining the situation that that manager was wrong nd lieing. This super cracked out girl took my order higher than a kite. She was super disrespectful to me asking me how I can eat everything that I ordered and I was shocked like who asks that? This girl needs to be trained not only on her job but on how to be a good person, an actual girl, learn how to do her gross makeup , I literally gagged when I saw her but was polite... also, when there's 10 people in the building, don't make the idiot the cashier. why did i go there this morning? this particular location? i know the service is awful, has been awful the last few times i've been there. but, its the closest mcdonald's to my house so i gave it a shot again. big mistake. i always use the drive thru and today was no exception. once i got up to the window to get my food the guy came up, handed me my drinks and bag of food and did not say one word. nothing. nada. i think i was interrupting his day, quite honestly. he immediately walked away, closing the sliding window half-way. i checked the bag and noticed i was missing one item. getting someone's attention inside was almost impossible. i finally resorted to yelling loudly "hello?" and finally the girl at the inside wait counter heard me. the same guy came up to the window and just looked at me. i told him i was missing a breakfast burrito and he walked away again, quiet as a mouse. when he returned 30 seconds later he was holding the burrito and tapping it into the palm of his other hand before giving it to me. no "sorry about that", nothing at all. still, i got his message loud and clear. never again. read more
