Stopped here for lunch the other day when we had to do some shopping in the area. They are in the same parking lot with Sprouts near Thornydale and Orange Grove. The folks behind the counter greet you when you walk in the door -- nice touch! Mostly hot subs - I believe they have just a couple of cold sandwiches. I had the Turkey Bacon Ranch and my wife had the Thanksgiving special turkey combo. She was warned that they were out of the gravy due to high nationwide demand, but she went ahead and ordered it anyway. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes. I judge sub shops based on the quality of the bread, and Firehouse has truly excellent bread. Like my wife said: "smells like real bread". I like the big pickle spear that comes with. My sub was great - the ranch dressing had a nice flavor and the bacon really added. The Thanksgiving sub was OK, the flavor is dominated by the sage dressing. They are a little pricey, but the quality is good. We will return when we are in the neighborhood - I'd like to try some of their more Italian flavors. read more

Over priced, too much salt, sloppy sandwiches in a cheap strip mall setting . Horrible taste cones free along with soggy sides.

They had BOGO deals. We ordered 2 sandwiches and had them delivered. It was $50! I have Uber one so supposedly saved money but cannot image how 2 sandwiches could cost more. I love their sandwiches here. They are very pricey though, but IMO, they provide some of the tastiest subs. That being said, today was bad. It was busy. I get it that the wait will be long. I was told 15-20min wait. I'm fine with that. But now it's been almost 30min as I'm writing this review. I wouldn't care that much if I haven't noticed that the employees have been doing more goofing around and laughing with each other, than actual work. If they worked as they should, I'm sure my sandwich would have been finished already. For the bad service, I'm giving it 2.5 stars. For the food taste I'm giving it a 4.7 read more

Food is good, and all the employees seem great. I, however, will not be returning after listening to the owner berate his employees the entire time we were there. It made the environment completely uncomfortable and was entirely inappropriate to do in front of customers. Not only should he have had his conversation in private, but he should never have spoken to them in that way in the first place. I would so much like to show you pictures of The delicious food that the family and I had but unfortunately we gobbled that food up so fast there wasn't any time. Although I am not a fan of the pricing the food is bomb diggity. I would recommend this place more than the other sandwich shops in the area. I got the Philly steak and cheese with some jalapeños for a little spice in my life. Sides were some salt and vinegar chips and a large drink. I really like the new fancy soda machine, it's one of those ones were you can mix flavors into the drink. If you want a lime cola or a cherry cola you can Jane it your way. Delicious. The only reason I gave this a 4 star is because my wife got a small veggie and for almost $6 it was really lacking. I'm stuffed and she is starving. Went in hoping for a nice meal with the family. Instead, food took an hour to come out from the time of ordering. Firehouse knows how to do sandwiches. I love that Firehouse really packs on the meats, cheeses, and other sandwich fillings. This is not a hate post about Subway- I love Subway. But at times I feel like they miss their mark on the actual quality of meats and cheeses. These sandwiches are moderately priced. It ends up being a lot of food. They have meatball subs which my husband loves, CHerry limeade which I could drink a gallon of and it's a hot sub place with a firehouse theme. (3.5 stars) Firehouse is my favorite chain sub shop in Tucson. The large sub is huge and meaty! They're very clean and the product is consistently tasty. Great service. Great food. I don't typically review fast dine in places, but Firehouse Subs deserves it. Their food was out of sight, but the level of service they provide makes the difference. We had a large group order and it was prepared correctly, and made promptly in time for me to pick it up on time, but for the hot sandwiches to still be warm and not soggy. They have some really great flavor combinations. For your first visit I would recommend the Club on a Sub or the NY Steamer. These are two of their best but won't got wrong with any item on the menu. I patronize Firehouse because they support first responders. I have terminal multiple myeloma as a result of my time in the fire service. Unfortunately, I've now have had TWO occasions where I ordered a "Plain Salad" via Grub Hub, but what I got was nothing like the description/photo on the Firehouse menu. None of the items described in menu were there - they literally sent me a bowl of lettuce. The first time I didn't complain because I assumed it was a one time mistake. This time, I was tired and had been at the hospital all day. I just wanted my Firehouse salad and sub. When I got the salad, I immediately called the store. The Firehouse employee was familiar with my order & said he actually made the salad himself. He said he saw "Plain Salad" and thought that's what it meant. When I referred him to the menu (you know, the menu where you work...) description of a Plain Salad, he acknowledged that it should have tomatoes, cheese, peppers, cucumbers, etc. He apologized & said he can't fix it because he can't contact the Grub Hub driver. That isn't true! While we were reviewing the order, I noted that the contact for the driver was right there. He didn't want to do that. When I requested a refund of the $6.99, he said talk to Grub Hub. I told him that is horrible customer service; it would take several days to get my money back. I suggested they re-make the salad & deliver it to me, even if he had to send an employee. All I got was a sorry, after being repeatedly told there is nothing he can do to fix it. I have enjoyed Firehouse in the past & I appreciate their mission to support first responders. However, clearly this store has a training issue if I have to educate their employee about the menu.
