Super cute food stall on the main drag in Frankenmuth whipping up delicious, pillowy, warm, HEART…read moreSHAPED (I told you it was cute!) beignets with a ridiculous amount of powdered sugar. On a cold December night when we were walking around town it was bliss. We got a dozen to split/take home and when we got our order the bag was piping hot so I was forced to wait a minute which was VERY difficult. Ha. But they were worth the wait. We scarfed down a few right away and saved the rest for later. They actually warmed up really well the next day and were perfect with coffee on the couch on my first Sunday morning of holiday vacation. We also got chocolate, caramel, and cinnamon dipping sauces but honestly I liked them best plain. The cinnamon was my favorite of the three, though. The line was relatively long the Saturday night before Christmas but they had it down and it moved quickly. Both for ordering and getting our food. They also serve up hot cocoa, coffee, gator bites (yes, actual gator), and gumbo if your'e feeling peckish and/or adventurous. But we stuck with dessert and couldn't have been happier.

This time we had friends with us, so we grabbed a dozen, which came in a great deal. We also got multiple dipping sauces - Chocolate, Caramel and strawberry. The beignets were soft, fluffy, and perfectly made. They even added extra powdered sugar in the package, which honestly was almost too much to handle... but sometimes you just have to get a little messy and enjoy it. A sweet tradition for us in Frankenmuth and always worth the stop

Cozy cafe decorated for the holidays. Imagine sitting in front of a fireplace, with Christmas music…read moreplaying in the background as you sip a holiday coffee creation or just an original coffee/tee. Very festive, relaxing and set my mood for the day. I had a Rudolph latte - espresso, cherry, hazelnut and white chocolate. Yum! There is parking in the back and the baristas are super friendly.

I really want to love this place because it IS a cute little coffee shop with a lot of potential…read more The vibe is cozy at first glance, but once you settle in, you start noticing some things that could definitely use improvement... shaky tables, sparse seating, and a general "almost there" feeling with the interior. The bigger issue for me is the pricing and consistency. Charging an extra $1 for alternative milk in 2026 feels a little like cash grab? Especially when a lot of people order it out of necessity, not preference. On top of that, the specialty lattes have gone up another dollar in the past year, which makes the quality even more important. I've had good drinks here before, so I know they CAN do it well but this last visit was rough. My $6.50 "specialty" latte tasted like burnt coffee water with none of the flavor I ordered. For that 20% increase in price, I expect to actually taste the specialty part. That said, the employees were genuinely kind and super helpful. They happily added more almond milk to help salvage my very sad latte, and I appreciated their attitude a lot. Overall it's a cute spot with sweet staff, but the pricing and drink consistency need some serious attention. I'd love to see them tighten things up because it really could be great.

The best thing I can say about this place is that the building is absolutely beautiful. It's large,…read morethere's tons of seating, I'm also assuming there are outlets to go with that seating so you could work in there if you wanted. It's connected to other businesses. Although they care far more about their drive-through than those other businesses because definitely one of them has an external door that you would have to cross the drive-through to get to, which is just rude. But that's honestly where all the stars end. The coffee is mediocre. The menu is mediocre. You can get whatever you get everywhere else here and it will taste fine. There's zero originality in their menu. Where it truly goes downhill is their employees. How are you going to be two blocks from downtown Midland and not have any awareness of the area and be able to direct an out-of-towner to a nice place to walk? Perhaps I have high hopes for the intellectual capabilities of barista's in a medium sized town's coffee shop, but these employees are sure to disappoint you if you want to do anything other than order coffee and get your order. Whatever you do, don't expect any level of conversation. They absolutely cannot deliver. On top of that, their motto appears to be "love people," but that only extends so far as I guess their customers. They love people except for when they employ those people. When they employ those people, they love to micromanage them and force them to have an outdated dress code of black shirts. What are they some sort of indentured servant? Go somewhere else. All you can find in this coffee shop is boring.

Manifesting the Perfect Latte (And It Worked)…read more Before I even stepped foot into Live Oak Coffeehouse, I closed my eyes and set my intention. I envisioned the perfect coconut almond milk latte--smooth, rich, subtly sweet, and crafted with care. I felt the warmth of the cup in my hands, the aroma wrapping around me like a cozy hug from the universe itself. I whispered to the cosmos: "Let this latte be everything I desire and more." And guess what? The universe delivered. I entered Live Oak with gratitude in my heart, and the barista--clearly an enlightened being--crafted my drink with the energy of a thousand good vibrations. The first sip? Pure alignment. The flavors danced in harmony, the temperature was just right, and for a moment, I felt like I had truly ascended. The ambiance of this place? Calm, inviting, full of positive frequencies. People chatted, read, worked, all in a state of peaceful flow. You could feel the creativity and good energy buzzing in the air. Some say you can't manifest happiness in a cup, but I'm here to tell you--you absolutely can. If you're ever in Midland, set your intention, walk into Live Oak, and let the magic happen.
