The Waddy McDonalds is a frequent stop for our regular trips between Lexington and Louisville. While the food is all your standard McD's fare, the staff here is truly exceptional. Whether you go through the drive through, or go inside because there are 20 cars waiting, the staff always has a smile on their face and they are truly all exceptionally friendly. The inside is usually very clean (I have seen it after a rush, but generally even then it's cleaner than most McDonald's). This McDonalds has southern hospitality down pat! read more

Full service McDonald's located of the waddy Kentucky expressway exit that me and my family stopped in for a quick bite to eat while making a trip from Lousiville to Gatlinburg. Located and adjoined by a loves gas station this establishment has a drive they and an inside. The inside is accessible from a private entrance and connected to the gas station as well. They had a solid line when we stopped in but they processed it fairly well. Most people by now know if they like McDonald's food or not. I'm not a huge fan but the young ones love the chicken nuggets so it made it an easy stop to farm a bite and hit the road. Overall solid location. Pretty well up kept for a gas station location as those tend to have people working multiple Locations and lack on cleaning. Solid McDonald's spot overall. read more

#73-2021 Franchise McDonald's located in the loves travel center. Recently got a remodel. Nothing really stands out nothing really stands back hence the three stars across the board just an average McDonald's. Open 24 hours currently but during covid still hours are subject to change based on staffing. I came in for breakfast I like the hotcakes and sausage at Mickey D's tasted fine had a medium orange juice they were out of medium sized cups they gave me a large charge me for a medium. It was quite clean in the dining room tables weren't messy and service was fine. read more

I've visited this location many times before a long commute home. This McDonalds shares space with a fuel station/truck stop. The drive-thru is efficient and the wait time is pretty short. read more

Very slow. They were not busy at the time but still super slow. Everyone was nice but just slow. Too bad.

I'll just start by saying, I don't go to McDonald's but maybe twice a year and it's always on road trips because there isn't much else to stop at. This location is attached to a very clean and very friendly Love's travel station with this place and a Subway attached. Super clean bathrooms for you're stop, if you're road tripping! This location was very fast, very friendly, and apologetic they were missing ingredients for the oatmeal (this and the coffee were the only thing I got). It's McDonald's food, so not fine dining but you could tell the staff took pride in their job! We make this trip a lot - I'm saving this exit because of this experience! read more

Part of a Love's Truckstop, this McDonald's is ALWAYS jumping! Expect a bit of a wait at the drive thru at peak hours... less of one at the counter. They've recently started doing online ordering with the ability to do curb-side pick up, and it's the best thing ever! The orders come out darn fast and the staff delivering them are always friendly. Had a slight misunderstanding about sauces one day, but, besides that.. never a problem. read more

Super busy location. The lobby was a little dirty but nothing too awful considering how packed they were. The order was filled quickly.

I grew up on Mc Donald's and is one of my favorite fast food restaurants. But this is one of the worst Mc Donalds in the area. Very slow, to many times the food is NOT prepared correctly and the service is very bad. read more

Pretty much a normal McDonald's. Same food. Staff is friendly. You never know when the drive up widow will be open at night or if you have to have cash. You need to check your order before driving away,it seems to be a problem. Since the restaurant is contacted to Love's gas station you would think they would be open 24 hrs. But they are not. There hours are always changing. They like to break the milkshake machine down early, so no shakes at night. White Castles is a few miles away and open all night and yes you can get a shake. read more

I come here all the time. Pretty much every weekend. Today's experience was downright awful. The first time I was in, I ordered a cheeseburger and large iced coffee (weird combo now that I think about it). The cheeseburger came out in a minute or two, but I had to wait another 10 minutes for my iced coffee. After receiving my drink, the guy proceeds to say "thank you". Being upset by the service, I simply walked away. The man (who I believe was the manager judging by his attire) proceeding to yell "thank you" three more times across the store until I said it back. My coffee wasn't even filled to the "ice" marker line on the cup and the ketchup on my cheeseburger had a texture similar to jam. I just got done with my second visit of the day. I got a large chocolate shake. The second I got the shake the lid popped off, and wouldn't go back on because the shake was over filled. Trying not to make a mess in the car, I carefully did my best to get the lid on. By the end of the ordeal I was covered in shake, all because they couldn't put a lid on correctly. I'm very disappointed in my visit since I usually have better service. I would like to blame it on the new staff seeing as I recognized no one in the store, but still no excuse to give crappy service. read more

I know it's McDonalds and what do you expect but good lord this is THE worst McDonalds I've ever been to. I have to drive from Louisville to Lexington late at night and this is the only place open that late that is right off the highway so I have no other choice. The wait here is just ridiculous. You could order a small cup of water and it would take them 25 minutes to get it. I actually was flat out refused service because they were "too backed up"...and this was at 2:30AM!!! I'm not even joking, I went through the drive through and was told "Sorry we can't take any more orders right now, we are too backed up"! One time I went inside because I thought maybe I would get faster service. The woman working the register seemed to be having a panic attack because there was more than one customer in there. The person before me never got their drink and she was scrambling around trying to get it and yelling "oh god....oh god". It was embarrassing. There are two big doors on the doorway that connect the McDonalds to the gas station and there is a sign above it that says "doors must remain open during business hours". Well the woman working there was so freaked out that she closed the doors so no one else would come in! All because she had 2 people in line. I've had some weird experiences at McDonalds but this place is like bizarro world. read more
