    Farmers breakfast

Family run place where everyone pitches in and is so friendly! Service was fast especially since they made the food to order. We ate there two days in a row when we were staying in the area and both days everything was delicious! First day hubby and I both got the Farmers breakfast and everything was perfect! Second morning we both got the sausage biscuit with cheese added. Biscuits were homemade (they were making more throughout the morning) and so delicious!

Such a cute diner. My family and I came for brunch and loved everything. This sweet little girl took our order, and other family members delivered it to our table. It was packed, and you can sit together like having a community meal.

Simple, delicious, flavorful menu! What a great spot. So glad we took the advice on here to NOT MISS THIS SPOT!!! Love that it's farm to table, locally owned and freshly prepared. Hands down the BEST french fries I've ever eaten - fresh cut, crispy on the outside- so much flavor. If I had to guess, I'd say they're fried in tallow, from the flavor - YUMMY! The burger was also spot on! Also loved the ambiance - it's evident they're believers and I so appreciated the peace and the scriptures within the restaurant

A breakfast gem in Shelbyville. Farm fresh offerings that are sure to please. Beautiful fluffy biscuits, bacon from their farm and the best ever grits. I was so hungry I didn't take a photo, but I can assure you this little roadside restaurant is not to be missed. 39

Stopped at the Farm Kitchen on our way to Lexington. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are going through Kentucky on I64. A couple of miles off the expressway through beautiful Kentucky rolling farm country. The food is all fresh off the nearby farms and home cooked. The people are friendly and the food is delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy. Huge fluffy biscuit drowned in a rich sausage gravy. Yummy! My husband had the farmers breakfast. The bacon was crispy and full of flavor, the eggs cooked exactly as he asked and fried potatoes crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. Our only regrets were we were too full to try anything else on the menu. We will have to return to try the grits, pancakes, burgers and more.

2nd visit, 1st having there breakfast. Biscuits and gravy is very good. Cinnamon roll is outstanding. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu....

My younger two kids and I were in Shelbyville visiting our horses. I've heard good things about "The farm Kitchen." We arrived 15 minutes before closing for lunch(2pm). Informed owner, Daisy, our first time there. She informed us to take out time and no rush. We ordered 3 of their 1/3 lbs burgers with Fried potatoes pieces and green beans. The burgers were tasty, delicious and full of flavor. Everything was delicious. Even after 2pm People still walked in and allowed to place orders but they pretty much sold out of some of their sides but Burgers seemed to be the option. We plan on coming back for breakfast as it's made from scratch pancakes and biscuits and Gravy. Very reasonable for farm fresh farm to table food.

When we confirmed with the waitress it did have that ingredient, the waitress shrugged and said sorry while walking away. It was a skillet so there was no picking around anything. Never offered to remake or anything. She did ask if we wanted a box to take it home. Unimpressed with the lack of customer service. (But the gentlemen bussing tables was very attentive and sweet!)

We sat at the bar because it was still pretty packed. The place was fun - the service was a bit silly in a good way. Great cocktails. Great ambiance and decor. My bourbon-grilled pork chops were fantastic. Good cornbread. Green beans were fantastic. The fried apples were just okay - a bit on the dry side. My friend's chicken and waffles looked amazing. Another friend's ribeye looked a bit overdone to me, but he seemed to like it. I wish the souvenir store was still open when we were there (it closed at 6pm) because I would have liked to bring home a trinket or shirt. Maybe upon next visit - because I will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Bardstown. Make it a priority to stop in!
