Doing the Drive In during the virus trying to support some fast food folks. We ordered the Double stack (it's really big). It comes with choice of fries or tots. We also ordered a couple sides one was soft pretzel bite, mozzarella sticks, and chef r peppers. Everything was smoking hot and really good. I'm super excited about the choices for dessert Well we have been here many times this is by far the worst service and attitude we have ever received from this place!!! First we pulled into one of the parking spots they came out and told us only drive through was open. Then they was so disrespectful in drive thru. Then we got part of our order and it was wrong we ask for soft drink that came with it they refused!!! Sonic takes me back to the hamburger joints of the 1950's. The kind of place where you drive into the parking spot, order from the speaker box, and the car hop brings your food to you while you relax in your vehicle. If that isn't enough for the memories the food also takes me back to the 50's. Hot, juicy hamburgers, or maybe you rather have a corn dog. Top it off with a milk shake and it is the meal I remember getting as a child for a special treat after getting our annual vaccinations at the health department. Best part is you can skip my memories of getting a shot followed by a fun dinner. The prices are so reasonable you can afford to make this a regular experience. read more

I am putting this warning out there for those of you going to Sonic for lunch!!! Sonic employees are having a bad day and are very grouchyseriously don't ask for onions on your hotdog or a medium slushy freeze!! They will be VERY RUDE/HATEFUL and you will not get onions on your hot dog. Also you will get a LARGE slushy not a medium.. Only my second foray into Sonic and this time we were in for a WAIT. Seems like, as is usually the case with places with drive throughs, that those orders took precedence, while we were left sitting in our cars for 20 minutes waiting because we chose to "sit" and not drive through... I would have given this Sonic a zero if i could because they don't even deserve 1 star. There are plenty of other choices in Frankfort, KY to eat so take my advice and go elsewhere. It had been a month since I had been to this particular Sonic because they NEVER have a working ice cream machine. I have been to this location 4 times over the past 6 weeks and they do not have a working ice cream machine? ? I came again tonight because i thought "surely after 6 weeks they have either FIXED or PURCHASED a new ice cream machine". But, unfortunately after 6 WEEKS they do not! I love sonic but this location is absolutely horrible. The burgers were burnt and the onion rings were horrid. My husband had a hole in his smoothie. When he went up to get a new one he saw a sign that said a cigarette break cost you 5 butts. GROSS! Absolutely disgusted with this sonic. Don't come here! I had an insanely horrible experience at this Sonic today: We went to the drive-thru. When we got to the speaker, the guy said, "Gimme a minute." Then, when he took our order, he asked more than once, "Will that be all?" instead of asking if I'd like anything else or making suggestions. We placed our order, then it took us approximately 10 minutes to get to the window. When we got the window, the boy asked if we had the chili cheese coney. I said no, since we had not ordered that item. Then he asked about 2 other orders, and neither of those was ours either. He said, "Wait a minute," and closed the window. Then he came back and asked us about another order, which was also not ours. He then slammed the window and threw up his finger as if to say, "Wait a minute," from inside the closed window. He then returned and made us repeat our order and shut the window again. Then another fellow came to the window and said, "So without the chili cheese coney, the total will be..." I interrupted him with, "We did not order a chili cheese coney." He replied, "I SAID without the chili cheese coney!" He then read off our order with the right things on it and gave us a price. I stated, "After all this crap, we should be getting our order free." He said, "What crap?" I briefly described all we had been through, and his response was, "Well, we have a new guy and he got confused," and proceeded to stand and stare at me. At that point, my husband said, "Let's just go somewhere else." So I said, "Just forget it," and we left. This was a HORRIBLE example of problem-solving, not to even mention the HORRIBLE customer service up TO that point. I expected better from Sonic and usually get better. I doubt we'll be visiting again. :( read more

I have only had tator tots, chili dogs, and cheeseburgers from sonic and I gotta say all have been delicious. I love that they season the patties. Service is friendly, food comes out fast, convenient location. I love their weekly and daily deals. I'll be back! read more

Service was inadequate to say the least. The woman working at the window couldn't seem to understand three simple orders. When the order was correctly taken my blast was just vanilla shake with about an inch and a half of pure Reese cups at the bottom. The other order was an ice-cream soup! I'm very disappointed in the quality of the food and my service. read more

Food is pretty good. Enjoy the outdoor option at times. Fast and convenient. Hamburgers and specialty drinks are our favorites.
