Ordered breakfast through the app this morning at 10 am. I could tell by the tone of the voice when I pulled to the drive-through to pick up my food that they had already finished breakfast even though it wasn't 1030.. when I pulled up to the window to collect my food. The gentleman at the window and I say gentlemen loosely asked me to pull up to the door so they could bring it out because they had not had hashbrowns cooked mind you there was no one behind me at the drive-through at all. Not sure why I had to pull up mention that and then a manager came out and asked me to pull up. I received my food and it was like they just threw it in the bag. I'm actually nervous to eat it so I'm going to throw it out and go to Dunkin' Donuts instead. This is the closest McDonald's to me so I don't have many choices as far as if I want to get McDonald's for my daughter and I it's very ghetto and their service sucks. Believe it or not this is one of the better McDonald's that I happened to go through in a while. Granted I've only gone through the drive-thru I never went inside the store but the experience that I had there was very good. When we pulled up to the speaker we were greeted warmly by the person inside and when we had to repeat what we wanted it wasn't a bad thing because the person who was taking the order had just the spirit about them that was very warming you just didn't care that you had to repeat it. The line moved pretty quickly and when we got to the window to pay we were greeted with a smile again at the window by a lady and was very friendly again. I really wish I could have taken names so that I could have given them credit for the awesome job that they did in our experience in those brief moments of interaction. To me those brief moments of interaction that are positive ones create such an experience for me that I want to return. The warm smile, the friendly greeting and just a fast overall service that I received made my experience there well worthwhile. I really need to commend the manager and staff that are there you could tell that they were doing their best to help every customer. So with that I say thank you to them. We ended up ordering and I ordered two of the triple cheeseburgers and my wife ordered two cheeseburgers and fries and a drink that meal deal I just wanted two sandwiches. As we were driving where we were going I had already finished my one sandwich and we were halfway to our destination which was about a half hour after I finished my one sandwich and I said you know, give me my other sandwich will you please. My wife hands me this little small burger and I'm like that's not my triple cheese in the dark my wife ate my triple cheese I think she did it on purpose LOL so I got stuck eating a little cheeseburger and let me tell you it ain't nothing like a triple cheese :-) if you're ever in the area try them out they are great thank you so much for listening. read more

Holy shit is this place just awful. I have lived in Watervliet for 4 months and maybe twice they have gotten our order right. Tonight we ordered an hour & half before close and they canceled on us.. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bit of backstory on how we've been treated: We drove up last month and they closed 40 minutes early. There were like 2 or 3 cars pulling out when we got there, how are you allowed to close that early with that many customers showing up?! I've worked at multiple fast food places and we were never allowed to do that. Sounds like bad choices of those in management positions. One time we asked for sweet and sour sauce, they forgot it but we were told to pull forward for fries so we asked them a second time and they said "yeah". They came back with a big bag with only 2 sweet and sour sauce.. seriously..? We even asked for extra. Then my boyfriend went up to the window and politely asked for more and he heard the girl make fun of my boyfriend and I to her coworker! Seriously?! We have asked now 3 times and you're gonna shit talk a customer right in front of them?! Poor service, inappropriate behavior by the man who took my order (trying to listen to something on his phone and screwed up the order) he took the fries out of the fryer and no salt, just shoveled them into a container and into the bag. Fast food is capable of earning 4 or 5 stars. Fast, friendly service, a consistently correct order, and food that meets your expectations (I mean it's fast food) makes for a great fast food joint. THIS MCDONALD'S HAS NONE OF THOSE THINGS. Consistently my order is wrong, NEVER leave the drive thru without checking your order. The quality of the food is worse than any McDonald's in the history of billions and billions served. Often times the contents of the burger is half in the burger, and half all over the buns and wrapper. The outside of the wrappers (mcdoubles are my game) always feel like they spilled the contents of the fryer right on them. My coworkers often end up with burgers mislabeled, the worst ever being a big Mac box with a single quarter pounder inside. He didn't realize the travesty until he returned to work. I get to the drive through (since take out is unavailable), there is only 2 cars waiting in front of me and about 2-3 behind me. They consistently get orders wrong (wrong food, over charging, etc) and when they aren't getting the orders wrong the food is haphazardly thrown together so a burger or a wrap is not edible without the use of a fork and a knife. I have never been to another fast food restaurant with this level of apathy and failure. (10/15/2018) Every four or five months I decide to give this location a chance again, and each and every time I am again reminded why I choose not go here. The customer service at the window and counter (for me) is not the problem, the problem is the food. I have ordered crispy chicken wraps before and got home to find that none of them are actually wrapped, instead being mashed together and half wrapped in the McD's wrapper. I have gotten burgers without burgers before (no joke, just condiments cheese bacon and buns). I give them credit, each time I have been here I have found something totally new to shake my head at in disbelief. I know that this location has high turnover but it doesn't seem to be helping at all. I don't expect a ton when I go to McDonald's, I really don't. But oh man, this one is a disaster. The sign in front says "Drive Thru 24 hours", which is kind of something I look for because I work 3rd shift. However, you get to the window and it closes at 11. So why not clarify the signs? The service is garbage, absolute garbage, after about 10 am. I ordered 3 regular cheeseburgers, and that was it. It was 3 cheeseburgers on the way into work because I was starving. It was 10:02 when I ordered. They didn't hand me my cheeseburgers until 10:35, and they were stone cold. Seriously. 10:35. It's ridiculous. And as I sat there at the drive thru, I could hear the kitchen staff cursing like crazy, which I kind of assume was related to my order.
