Too many flies everywhere but if you've ever been to West Branch, there are bugs everywhere! The staff do their best to keep the items warm and fresh and I can report everything tasted just fine. Came into McDonald's to try the new adult happy meals but they don't have the happy meal boxes and different toys so it's really just a normal meal that's an extra $2.50. It was nice to use the touch screen machines to order but they didn't have the same kind of pop that's on the machines so if you want something on there they might not have it :( they were also all out if ice cream, any of the café items, and apple pies. Also kinda wish they greeted people when customers come in. I noticed some people who walked in had gone to the front to order but no one said "Hi what can I get for you?" And I could tell each time they were confused who was already taken care of one asked "Can I order?" And the person at the front kinda rolled their eyes and motioned for them to come over but didn't say a word until they got to the total and just said how much it was. No "Thank you have a nice day" just the total and left it at that. The guy at the front also wasn't handing the cups to customers for their drinks. He would point to them while leaning against the wall so people had to reach over/to the side and get them. The restaurant was clean I'll give them that. Just need to make improvements on customer service and stocking items. I noticed that there hasn't been a positive review for this location in over a year-hoping that management will see this and the things need to be improved on. But it's McDonald's so they probably don't get paid enough to care. read more

Pulled up to the speaker and told the lady my rewards code and she said she couldnt hear me so I raised my voice and said it then she said "if you want attitude with me then we're not serving you." This is worst place EVER!!! Went through the drive through and ordered a big breakfast with pancakes. Got home only to find there were no eggs and no butter for the biscuits. I called FIFTEEN times!!!!! No one answered. A different night l received a diet Dr. Pepper instead of the diet Coke. Yet another night, the french fries resembled croutons, not fresh french fries. All three instances happened in the last month. Three strikes, YOU'RE OUT!!!! I will NEVER visit this place again!!! I only wish there was a Burger King in West Branch. This place is HORRIBLE!!!!! I had horrible experience here when ordering my food asked for vanilla shake and when the person said the machine was broken and then when asked if could get McFlurry they said the machine was on full reset and when pulled up to the window fat guy in red shirt made himself an ice cream and ate it. Passed through on Christmas vacation, got in line with 5 people in front of me and other customers, this was the drive thru. We ordered two value meals. Legitimately the line moved a single car, it was 15 minutes no exaggeration, we still had not moved from that first single car. We left, called and asked them to cancel the order. This was the absolute slowest pace fast food drive thru I have ever been in to my recollection. I honestly can't think of a single fast food drive thru that this length of time has passed without forward progress. To begin it seems like they game 2 hot and spicy chicken breasts that have been sitting under a warmer all day, there was no flavor to them at all, then I couldn't get a coffee because the machine was being cleaned when I said I'll wait for it she proceeded to tell me that she didn't have the coffee button on her register therefore she can't sell me the coffee. They want to get paid tip dollar for less than average service lol. I'll never set foot in here again. Maybe the owner needs to fire this crew and hire people that take pride in their job read more

Trying to save money, McDonald's is the best to go. But if you want delicious food make sure you ask for well done. My husband received uncooked fries. If you are planning to bring everyone, don't. Not to this location at least. The dinning room is so small. They have a bigger parking lot than a dinning room! Another problem we had at this location is that we found hair in our nuggets. Even after we asked for well done, we got it WITH an extra crispy strand of hair. Ew. One tip I should let you know is, when you park in the parking lot be prepared to push in your side mirrors. A lot of drivers like to get real close to the car. Our rental has a new scratch on it. read more

Nice picture on the wall greeting you as you come in of the 31st president, Herbert Hoover. West Branch is his birthplace after all. read more

The staff at this place has been HORRIBLE for years. Today I go to the drive thru and order a big breakfast. He says he will have my total at the first window. I ask him, "Aren't you going to ask what I would like to drink"? So he does ask, tells me the total and I drive to the first window. Paid for the meal and drove to the second window. Let's worry about sustainability, calories, health, and big corporations vs your small town mom and pop establishments at another time.
