Given that there was only one lone waitress on duty, the service was surprisingly efficient and personable. It was pretty amazing how this establishment completely filled up with patrons during a Friday lunch hour. Thus, their free-for-all parking lot can get packed with a jumble of cars. You may end up blocked in, or have to park along the side street. My recommendation would be to order food that will be made to order. Service here has been hit-or-miss, with some employees acting as if they could care less about customers. Given the very limited choices in the area, this is actually a better alternative than the Walmart, located just down the road. This grocery store features several different specialty departments, including: grocery, meat, produce, bakery, and deli. I usually stop by here whenever I'm in the area, if only to pick up a snack and a beverage for the road.

The food was prepared by the time we made the 2 minute drive to get it. I love that customers sit in the car until they receive a phone call that their order is ready. It cuts down on congestion at the window. I smiled when I opened the container once we got home. The catfish was on a piece of parchment and the flap of the paper was over the slaw and beans so that they were contained. I don't like messy plates and they exceeded my expectations in that area. The fish was fried to perfection. It was golden and crunchy and pretty. I didn't know I'd get hush puppies and I appreciated the surprise.
