Worst McDonalds EVER!! Went in, didn't see anyone to take my order. Tried to go to self kiosk but there were so many people blocking them waiting for their order. Finally found an opening, ordered my food, the ticket didn't print. So I actually have no idea what my ticket number is. I assume the one with happy meal is my order and watch as it take over 15 minutes to actually put together because they were waiting for fries. Meanwhile my burgers are getting cold. They didn't prepare my drinks so I had to ask someone for cups. Machines didn't have ice and the soda was flat and lukewarm. After 20 minutes I made it back to my car to eat only to find that they didn't put cheese on my burger even though the sticker says Qtr Cheese, so I paid for something I didn't get. I stopped by here with my sons to get some lunch around 1:35pm on a Saturday to grab some lunch before going to a birthday dinner. I ordered via the app while in the parking lot. Since I got my car cleaned recently, I decided we would eat inside. I got one a burger kids meal and the other a nuggets kids meal. I got a triple cheeseburger combo. Inside, I was given a cup for my drink. The tea was nasty... not sweet at all. I ended up getting some tea from the back, which was much better. We received the food around 1:40pm. From the start of my getting to the speaker to order the customer service was horrible. From there it got worse with receiving my order and everything I asked for and was charged for was not given so basically, I just had money stolen from me and then when I tried to call. Nice looking McDonald's, but quite possibly and slowest you can find. They really take the fast out of fast food. The restaurant was very nice. It was clean, airy and updated. In fact, it felt quite new. The service, however, was abysmal. I went in for coffee and waited 10 minutes after paying. I know what you're thinking, but nope, the coffee was already made, just sitting there waiting to be poured. The amusing part is that I'm the restaurant wasn't even busy --you can see in the photos it was empty. The staff were friendly enough, though the area couldn't have been more sketchy. I went inside and was skeptical on leaving my car outside --and it's not a fancy car. I think you get the idea. Typical McDonald's prices, and food. So went into this location (McDonalds on MLK in Winston Salem NC) today and there were (0) customers inside. So I was hopeful that my order would be expedited and in my hands quickly. I was proven very wrong. The first red flag was one of the staff I overheard saying "some woman said she's been waiting for her order (after pulling up to the door) from the drive-thru ...for 20 minute!" Then the "shift leader" (a girl with purple hair down to her waist) said " well she can just keep waiting!" I kinda thought this was a very bad attitude and not the way any paying customer should be treated! Then I noticed a young lady crying in the corner...near the cash register! So I began filming...that's when they targeted me! Long story short...they literally cancelled my order and asked me to leave. So I did! The poor employe that had been visibly upset...looked at me and said " I'm sorry..." To which I said "you have done nothing wrong..." Prior to them noticing me filming them and their very unprofessional behavior...I heard cursing and absolutely no one was seeing to the employee at the register who was crying with her head against the wall in the corner! She was the only person who I cared about and I could only imagine what she putting up with working in such a hostile and rude environment! The manager (a male) who without trying to help her or expediting my order never told me that my order was canceled...they let me stand there for another 5 minutes and only after (I) asked why my order was no longer showing on the "screen" to several employees did (he) tell me that I wouldn't be receiving it...and that I should try a different McDonalds! That's probably as bad as Ive ever been treated in any restaurant EVER! They were the epitome of classless and rude people who had obviously been bullying the young lady who was the only one who apologized for how (THEY) treated me! Not only will I never eat at that McDonalds...I will never eat at ANY McDonalds ever! If this is how they treat employees and customers ...they don't deserve ANY of my hard earned money! I have written a letter of their unprofessional behavior to their Corporate office and will be following up via telephone/email over the next 24 hours! Tomorrow being Sunday I doubt if I will be able to reach them on the phone...and the letter may take a few days or maybe even a week to be processe. This is the slowest McDonald's in Winston-Salem. I sat in the drive through the other night for 32 minutes. I didn't even get to pay for my food yet, let alone receive it. I wanted to leave, but the way the drive through lane is designed, I was trapped in by the car ahead and behind. When the car in front of me finally got tired of waiting and pulled away, I did the same as well as the car behind me. I even called the store, but they had [obviously] taken the phones off the hooks so that you'd only get a busy signal. So I called back the next morning and explained the situation to the manager. I would give this location zero stars if I could. They're a complete mess. I'm currently still in the drive thru line waiting on a DoorDash order, and I've been in this line for pretty much 30 minutes now. It's absolutely ridiculous. Every time I pick up deliveries from here they take forever (which in turn earns me less money because it takes up the time I could be making other deliveries) and the staff isn't nice either. Man this is the slowest McDonald's of all time. Fast food?!?!? No this is slow food. I left my apartment really early to pick up some fast food and go to work. 30 mins later still in the line. Not, one moment, may I help you. After sitting and waiting, I said "hello" and not a second later, "may I help you". I place my order, one iced coffee and one vanilla latte. When I get to the window to pay, I asked was the intercom broken. No, it's not broken. Then I asked, are you notified when someone pulls up....yeah we're notified. I shopped at this restaurant today and if I could describe this experience in one word, it would be "Horrible". When i first walked into the restaurant, the cashier presented himself rudely, had a defiant tone, and didn't make eye contact with me. When I received my cup and good, I went over to the drink machine. The drink machine was out of ice. When I told one of the employees, they looked at me with a dumb face. When I finally went to go sit down, I couldn't find anywhere to sit because every table was dirty with sauce and trash covering them. Fries were all over the floor, and the food was too crispy. I went through the drive thru and order two slushees and a mcflurry. I get to the window and waited 5 minutes for them to only hand me the McFlurry and then tell me to pull up and wait for the slushees, 20 minutes go by and they finally bring out ONE and then I reminded the guy it was two, (I also called to ask them about it since I had to get to an appointment and waiting that long for slushees is ridiculous) he goes back in and bring the other one out that was almost juice I guess it has been sitting there so I ask if he can redo it. 10 minutes go by again, I finally went inside and they were not even doing it yet. I missed my appointment because I had to wait 35 minutes for two slushees and then I see that the person who is making them has there fingers inside the cups. Absolutely legendary service, rarely do I find a location that can manage my most complicated order to the utmost accuracy. When I order a hot coffee without sugar, fear always creeps into my heart- what if they give me the opposite? What if, God forbid, I get a COLD coffee WITH Sugar?? I dare say that the MLK Drive McDonalds wouldn't manage to get an order incorrectly within the natural life of our solar system. Precision down the the seasame seed must be the mantra of this awe-inspiring establishment. This McDonalds© would bring a tear to Ray Kroc's eye on sight, there's no doubt about that. But even more incredible is the drive through technology. I'd wager my mother's gravestone that the same technology used in their drive through intercom was used by mission control in the Apollo Program©, but with a century of advancement resulting in diamond sharp clarity. Not a trace of human error is imaginable, as the cashiers have the ears of two-dozen hawks. At no point in this process would an employee of this establishment attempt to give me a Diet Coke© without my asking for it, for such would be leagues below their standards of service. I would sell my kidneys in a heartbeat for the chance to kiss feet of those with whom helped me during this transaction. I am not only a happy costumer, but a better person as a result of my experience at the MLK Drive McDonalds©. In light of the rapture I felt pulling out of the parking lot that I feel led to depart from my wordly possesions and devote my life to the service of my fellow man. Upon returning home, my estranged wife asked for my hand in marriage yet again after 23 long, trying years. My youngest child, Bethica, has learned to walk after hearing the news if how Hot and Unsweetened my coffee was just so she could personally shake the hand of the woman who too my order. I am weeping tears of well-caffeineted joy at the heat and unsweetenedness of my McCafe© Coffee, given to me promptly and without mistake.
