It has tennis courts, hiking trails and great play areas for little people. I was impressed with the pavilion that the party I attended, was held in. It had plenty of outlets for the food table and it had huge ceiling fans to circulate the air. Best of all, there were attached restrooms and they were super clean. If you live near Sunset Hills, I recommend this park.

I've been to powder valley a few times and I love that they offer scenic hiking trails that are not…read moretoo far from the city. The trails themselves are completely paved and easily accessible. The trails are 1/5 in difficulty and generally takes about an hour and a half if you walk through all 3 trails, so if you're a hiking enthusiast and looking for a more intermediate/advanced trail you won't find it here. But the trail does offer nice scenery and it's beautiful to walk through during the Fall to see the changing of the leaves.

The park also hosts the annual art fair and other pop up events. My favorite thing about this park is that it is not super crowded. While the weekends might boost the number of visitors, the park is usually still fairly peaceful. We've met photographers here before as the sculptures and sceneries do introduce lovely backgrounds for photoshoots. We've also just spent some time strolling with our pup on beautiful days. There is an education center to learn about the park. Aside from beautiful nature scenes and flowers, there is a large eyeball which is quite an entertaining conversational piece, a very tall human piece, a leafy looking piece made of wood, a large moose (I think?) and so much more! If you haven't made the trip, take some time to check this place out on a morning or an afternoon stroll and check out some outdoor arts!

Most recently I came here specifically because they have a short, well shaded, flat walking path. It's paved and wide and amazing! The basic path it just about a mile and you can go from one parking lot to the other/boat ramp. This short path was very relaxing and mainly wooded with some peeks through to the lake. They also have more extensive bike paths for the bike riders. I highly recommend this for a nice walking path or a get together in the park.

There was a young kid there today making balloon animals for anyone who wanted one and was selling them for $1. Very kind and talented young man, and he was only 11 years old.
