This place is the best. We drive all the way from Crofton because they are trustworthy, honest, quality people who do a good job. They price fairly and are efficient! I feel like going to repair shops are always nerve racking. You're always afraid it's going to cost more than you can afford. But these guys always put me at ease.

Generally speaking i'm pretty skeptical when it comes to auto repair shops. I never know if i'm being taken advantage of, so for that reason I tend to go to the dealer. In this particular case I needed some very minor work done and it was just more convenient to go to a local shop. McFadden's was able to get me in right away and the work was done fairly quickly. The head mechanic (possibly the owner) was friendly and took time to explain what was done. I'll still try them again the next time I need work done. Also the process seem to be very fair.

I'm glad I found a place close by that I can trust, they seem reliable and charge a fair price. Great front desk lady too.

She had such a good experience that she recommended the shop to me for repairs on my former vehicle and, more recently, for my used car pre-purchase inspection. Right from the start, the staff made me feel at home and made recommendations to guide me to find the perfect vehicle for me. I also learned that some special dealerships offer either "pre-purchase inspection off-site" or "3-day money back guarantees" virtually eliminating "buyer's remorse." So I focused my search on dealerships with either of these two options in order that A. Anthony's was essentially a "co-pilot" in my car search. A huge shoutout to Genette! She was amazing, walking me through the used car purchase process, giving the vehicle a thorough inspection, and explaining all the next steps. Her attention to detail and patience with all my questions made me feel totally confident in my purchase, and I am extremely happy with my used car purchase. They truly set high standards for great service and genuine care. Everyone here is super-friendly and professional, and it's clear they really care about their customers (which is smart business imo). In addition to ubiquitous brands like Toyota, Honda, Ford, they work on all brands of vehicles including luxury lines Mercedes, Audi, Buick, Lexus, and more. If you need auto repair or are looking to buy a used car, I recommend you consider building a long-term relationship with them.

I dropped my car off after hours on 4/8 with a brand-new $140 combination switch (Part #93400-J0000). The part was in a large Bath & Body Works box (about 2 feet long) and placed clearly on the driver's seat so it would be impossible to miss. Days later, Renata actually called me to ask where the part was. I was stunned--I told her, "What do you mean you don't have it? It's in the car - on the seat!" Instead of admitting that JRS lost the part or someone stole the part, she spent the next hour on the phone gaslighting me, aggressively insisting they "never received" it. She claimed she "checked with her guys" and that "they don't steal," directly implying that my son and I were lying about leaving it in our car. How can an automotive shop lose a part?! It is physically impossible to miss a 2-foot-long branded Bath & Body Works box sitting on a passenger seat!! I even texted a copy of my eBay order details and Ring camera photo showing the delivery, but she continued to deny reality for over an hour (see pics below). But unfortunately, they still refuse to acknowledge they lost our part and continued to gaslight my son and me. That's not just frustrating--it's unprofessional. Being told something didn't happen when you know for a fact it did, combined with a refusal to provide the supposed video footage, raises serious concerns about how this situation was handled. From there, it was nothing but delays and excuses: * I was told they would look for a replacement part -- of course I would have to pay for it (since they refuse to admit fault for losing the part we left in their possession days earlier). But after a couple of days, the part they claimed they ordered did not work in my car. * When I asked to pick up my car, I was told it had already been taken apart and I had to wait another day for them to put it back together * My vehicle sat there for 8 days with no resolution My primary point of contact during this entire issue was Renata. Throughout multiple conversations, she insisted the shop never received the part and dismissed my explanation that it was left inside the vehicle, despite clear confirmation of where it was placed. I also requested to see the referenced video footage, but it was never provided. In the end, the original issue wasn't fixed, the $140 part in their possession was never accounted for, and I was still charged $17. At this point, I am requesting reimbursement from JRS Auto for the $140 part that went missing while my vehicle was in your possession. This situation should not have happened, and it should not be ignored. Now, I need to search for this specific part again. It's not easy to find, considering the model number and the requirement for a skilled mechanic who can install it without damaging it and without overcharging me. If this is not resolved, I am prepared to escalate this through formal channels, including filing a complaint with the Maryland Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division and pursuing the matter in small claims court. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this shop with their vehicle or property.

In March 2025, my daughter purchased a used 2018 Audi Q5 from Karen Radley dealership in Virginia…read more Prior to purchasing, we inquired about any issues with the car, and we were told there were no issue by the dealer. On 8/18/25, my daughter took her 2018 Audi Q5 to an Audi dealership in Silver Spring, Maryland for its 100k tune-up. During that inspection, the Silver Spring dealer said she had a coolant leak and that it was going to cost $8k to repair it. We hadn't noticed any leaks and the indicator lights didn't alert her that there was a leak of any kind, so we decided to get a second opinion. On 8/20/25, my daughter and I took her Audi Q5 to Jorge at Genuine Auto Repair for a second opinion about the leak the dealer found. Jorge was my regular mechanic, and I trusted him. I called Jorge and asked if he would look at my daughter's car to ensure its safety and that there weren't any issues before we moved her out of state. I purposely didn't tell Jorge of the issue discovered by the dealer. I wanted to see if he would come to the same conclusion. If the leak had been corroborated, we had planned to get rid of the car. Jorge said to leave the car with him. We returned several hours later, and Jorge told us there were no issues. I asked him if he got under the engine cover to get a thorough look, at which time he began to get fidgety and nervous. I said, I am asking because the dealer said there was a coolant leak, and we are trying to get a second opinion, he began fidgeting again and "offered" to put the car on the lift. He put the car on the lift and said he didn't see any issues and that there weren't any leaks, so I paid him $95 for the inspection. In October, the coolant light started coming on, and my daughter has since found out that it will cost 8k to fix. It's unsafe to drive. Now we have to get rid of the car. She is now without a car. I called Jorge on 11/17/2025 to let him know and asked him to refund my $95 he refused and argued with me instead. To the owner's wife's unintelligent response, you don't do the work on these cars nor have you at anytime been involved in any conversation I have had with Jorge about any repair he's fixed for me! You don't know what I can afford! Anyone with half a brain would not pay 8k to fix a car! We went to Jorge to get a second opinion about an issue and HE DIDN'T THOROUGHLY CHECK THE CAR LIKE I PAID HIM TO DO. That is the issue here. NOT DOING WHAT HE WAS PAID TO DO. Had Jorge really checked the car on 8/20/2025, and seen the leak, we would have gotten rid of the car. Instead, because he gave us a false "all clear", we kept the car, and the issue grew unknowingly, and now the car is unsafe to drive as of 11/17/2025. There are some cars that Jorge isn't equipped to work on, and he needs to be honest with his customers if that is the case, and NOT TAKE THEIR MONEY, BUT INSTEAD REFER THEM TO SOMEONE ELSE. Now either Jorge or his illiterate wife have just texted me this:
