I posted a review for McFall Electric several months ago, when Dan McFall had done extensive work for us. Now, another peak experience with Dan, and another review. Dan is the real deal....incredibly competent and professional. I wish that ALL contractors would follow his template. In the last several months, Dan has installed wiring in our home in order to accommodate changing from a gas water heater to an electric, has wired to allow installation of a new mini-split A/C system, and then, most recently changed out 33 OLD electrical outlets and 3 GFCI's for newer and safer ones. ALL of his work is done with confidence and exceptional ability, at affordable prices. We feel fortunate indeed to have SUCH a good electrician and would recommend him to anyone who wants a contractor that they can actually trust! read more

Dan is the BEST electrician out there. Man are we lucky in North Coastal SD that he's here! This man did work for us in our rental home and now in our own home. Most recently he put in recessed lighting in our living room using THE TALLEST LADDER either of us had ever seen. I think it was a first for Dan too! Haha. His workmanship was awesome and the lighting came out beautifully. This was no easy fix because there's no crawl space to climb into - he had to do the whole job from the outside. Dan installed a new 240v Outlet in our kitchen for an electric oven, which was actually quite a bit of work because he had to run new wire from our breaker all the way to our kitchen along the outside of our home. Replaced 1 failed bathroom fan switch and installed another in a 2nd bathroom that had only on/off switch. Worked quickly, efficiently and charged me very reasonable. I called Dan with a sudden need for electrical help after a flipped fuse wouldn't reset. Of course this happened on a Friday. He called back quickly to let me know he was on his way to a job site that was far away, but he tried to help me over the phone and offered to come first thing Monday morning. Explained our situation, he asked a few questions and then suggested that I contact SDG&E first to see if they could come out for a free service to check out our problem. If they found it to be an "outside" line, then SDG&E will fix it for free; if it's an inside line, then I'd have to call a private electrician, similar to McFall (at cost).
