Septic Experts - Water and power over septic system

We hired Clean Works for maintenance on our septic system - we're sure glad we did. They discovered…read morea few issues that could have eventually resulted in major problems. They thoroughly explained what needed to be done, gave us a quote, and got right to work. Due to the location of the pipes and tank, the job required quite a bit of sawing and digging - work that I suspect not every septic service would do. Bobby and Triston worked hard all day. They were friendly and considerate of our property. They worked for two full days Recommendation was to replace the main water out flow pipe from the house to the septic tank. They stated the water flow was abnormally slow and eventually sewage/water would back up into our basement. To replace the main pipe they had to saw thru 5 t0 7" of patio concrete to access the pipe for replacement. They were 100% correct the pipe from the house and under the concrete slab was originally installed incorrectly and was a major issue. Billy and Tristin was totally considerate, polite and professional. Their quote for this complicated job was extremely fair. I 100% recommend them to resolve all septic or plumbing issues.

I didn't understand the structure of my system (next to a river) that required additional tanks. The techs (Bobby and Kristen) walked me through the process and suggested adding "risers" to the system to make future maintenance easier. This required digging with shovels due to the tank's placement. They found both caps quickly, performed the inspection, added the "risers ", replaced the removed dirt All as planned and on time.

The first job they did for me was a big one, and they handled it with professionalism, care, and great communication from start to finish. I recently had to call them again for what turned into a nightmare of a situation, and once again they were fantastic. They showed up ready to tackle the problem, worked efficiently, and didn't leave until everything was fully taken care of. James and his team is knowledgeable, reliable, and genuinely cares about doing the job right. I highly recommend Affordable Septic Service to anyone who needs honest, dependable, and top-quality work. They've earned my trust for any future plumbing needs.

BEWARE ! ! I should have taken the warnings by other yelpers!!…read more Our price was $175 higher on a preventive maintenance job with NO PROBLEMS! The price estimates given on the phone when you call, "Affordable" Septic Services are NOT the price you will probably end up paying. Like the other Yelp postings warned, the price increases occur while they are on site and at a point where it would be difficult to stop the work. They even raise the price on jobs that are done preventively where there have been NO PROBLEMS!! The person answering the phone reassured me the price our size septic tank would be the estimated price and would not be raised like other yelpers had reported. According to the job foreman-there apparently are "always issues" found, so they raise the price AFTER the holes are dug. Based on our experience, It appears you can't really get the actual price they will charge you before the work has already started and there are big holes in your yard! We have had NO PROBLEMS EVER with our septic after buying the house. NO PROBLEMS ! It has worked PERFECTLY !! We told the person on the phone this before the crew arrived and told the crew that showed up. When they dug two big holes and uncovered the two openings to the septic tank, they FOUND NO PROBLEMS!! They asked when it was last pumped and we told them we were not sure but we had not pumped it in the past 6 years, AFTER THEY DUG THE TWO BIG HOLES IN THE YARD, AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS, THEY TOLD US THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE $175 MORE THAN THE PRICE THEY HAD ORIGINALLY TOLD US FOR THE JOB BECAUSE WE HAD NOT FOLLOWED THE NATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS TO PUMP EVERY 5 YEARS. Again- there was NOTHING WRONG with our septic system. When they had us in a bind with the big deep holes dug and the septic system open to the air, and no pumping had been done -they told us it would be $175 more than they had originally told us the job would be.

A 2 man crew came out that day and after about 20+ minutes diagnosed the problem as the section of uninsulated pipe at the well head that was above ground had frozen solid. A few minutes of heating with a propane torch solved that problem. The tech also checked the pressure switch and storage tank, and told me we have a bad well pressure switch. The charge to diagnose the problem was $285 and the charge, including the diagnosis, to thaw the pipe and replace the switch was $975. I objected to the price and was told that is the rate, and to call the office. The tech offered that if I gave two 5 star reviews on Google, the office would send me a $100 check. The crew left to get a switch and came back an hour and a half later. The switch was replaced and water flow restored. i don't believe the switch was bad as until the pipe froze due to the extended cold we hadn't had any issue. The tech also pointed out a small amount of existing CPVC piping at the tank should be replaced because in his words it became brittle with age and could develop a pinhole. I called the office twice to talk to the owner and was unable to reach him. My assessment is that this company overcharges and takes advantage of situations where a repair is desperately needed. They tried to upsell me on additional work that wasn't immediately needed. The tech was polite and seemed to be thorough, but $975 for a simple repair is too much and I was taken advantage of. I cannot recommend Billy Bell Plumbing as I don't trust that they would be fair in terms of pricing or necessary scope of work.

He took a scoop of dirt out and found a hole in the water spigot right outside the well house. It was also connected to an old line. He told me he was going to cap it since it wasn't going anywhere, and also that he would pull the well pump up, inspect it, and cycle it three times. He said it would cost $1,475, and I agreed. But when all was said and done, all he did was cap the line and check the pressure in the pressure tank -- no work was done on the well pump. The next day, I called the owner, Billy, to try and talk to him about it, but he just wanted to argue and tell me that what I was saying wasn't true. He claimed the GPS showed his guy was there for six hours, when in reality he was only there from 9 to 11 -- and even left for an hour in the middle of that to go buy a tape measure. I would absolutely not recommend this company. There's a reason they can get out there so fast. Below is photos of work that will cost you 1475$
