My husband and I both can't say enough good things about Mike! We moved to Auburn from Orange, CA at the end of May. We had many excellent people to call upon in SoCal - handyman, plumber, painter, electrician, you name it. We arrived here, and with many projects, had no idea who to call. Our realtor had a handyman to refer us to, but he was busy on a big job. He came upon Mike's info and said "try this guy, one of my clients used him and was happy with his work". I called Mike right away...and he ANSWERED the phone! This alone was unusual. I had called some other people before getting his info, and no one even bothered to call back. I explained the job to Mike, he asked me to send photos, which I did. He gave me a rough estimate for the work, and was able to start on in just a few days. He was between larger jobs and able to fit me in. The job was tricky; we wanted to add an exterior door with a doggie door, and a staircase down to a small side yard. Mike made it happen, and it turned out perfectly! We are thrilled, as are our three dogs. Since then, Mike has done tons of things for us. Seems like he can do everything! There hasn't been anything so far that he has said "no" to. I can get pretty complicated in my projects, but he hasn't been stumped yet. I hired Mike to help me fix some things that were in need of repair before I put my house up for sale. Mike was right on time each day which is rare in the handyman/construction world. He worked his butt off and was able to repair several places of dry rot, put my roof tiles back in place, put a new post in for the fence, repaired part of the fence that was in very bad shape, put some drywall in my garage and re-wired the electric outlet so it was up to code. Replaced a base board behind the toilet which he had to remove the toilet to get to. We also replaced a 40ft patio cover with shingled roofing. And many other small projects around my house. Mike did a fantastic job on installing a new ceiling fan and also rehanging a pocket door that came off its track. The pocket door was difficult as it required removing part of the door frame moulding. He was prompt, friendly and the work was professional. He made good suggestions on the pocket door by using longer screws that would make sure this heavy door would not come off track in the future. So when PCWA notified us we had a major water leak at our water meter connection, Mike was the first one we called. I explained we had to shut off our house water supply and needed someone to make the repair as soon as possible. Always a challenge finding someone ASAP but Mike said he'd come over as soon as he finished his current job and sure enough he arrived a few hours later and started the repairs.
