Great place to catch a game, hang out with friends, or eat a family meal. This place is pretty popular, so I recommend making reservations if you are going with more that two people for a meal. Their menu is huge, which can be good or bad. Sometimes I'm wary because with so many offerings, you wonder if the food will be prepared well. Not here! We came as a party of six and we all ordered different things, and everyone was pleased. Salmon BLT, grilled chicken bacon sandwich, colossal crab sandwich, rack of ribs, turkey Dijon pretzel sandwich, and a French dip sandwich. Everything was amazing and picture perfect. To make it better was our waitress, Nia. She was very attentive throughout and that is always a huge plus in my book. This place is definitely worth coming back for many times! I am from Florida here on business and we actually ate here Monday and Wednesday night. Both nights we very fortunate to have Skyler as our server. She was all smiles and very energetic. She kept our party's drink full. She brought of food in probably less than 12 minutes. She checked on us several times during our meal. All of food was outstanding. I came in with my grandparents who have a hard time understanding certain things. Alisha was our server and she was AMAZING!! She was very patient with my grandparents and very kind. Absolutely loved her. And for once my grandparents enjoyed food at a restaurant! We all got the fish and chips (I know, I know) but it was very delicious and they ate everything! My family and I had a great time at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The location in Dover is also very beautiful. There was only one issue and that was noise. There are big screen TVs all around as well as background music playing over speakers. The combination of the two made it difficult for people at the same table to hear each other. I recommend the Eastern Shore Pretzels, Potstickers, and the Chesapeake Mac & Cheese. Will definitely return to sample more menu items, because it was difficult to choose! read more

Nice place to grab a meal. First time we went we sat at the bar it was a pleasant experience the female bartender was very the male seemed to be bothered by us ordering another drink. The second time we went with another couple I ordered the apple walnut salad unfortunately there was not a walnut to be found . As the saying goes third times a charm. This restaurant makes the best hamburger in Dover, DE. It uses good meat, is juicy, and cooked to whatever your preference is. The French fries are excellent. Also, the rest of the food is good, too. So, what could be wrong? Answer: the sound system will blast you out of your seat. Asking to get it turned down may or may not get you any relief. Admittedly, this is a sports bar but often the sound is coming from two different screens AND the background music, so you can't make sense of any of the sounds. A good burger is worth a lot but bring earplugs and don't count on any conversation. read more

I ordered potstickers, beef stew with jasmine rice, and corn chowder. I started with the potstickers...tender juice and nicely fried. They were so good that I forgot this was not an asian establishment... sad, I know, but they were that good. The only downside to the potstickers was the fact i ran out...(mental note: re-order...check! possibly get 2 orders...double check!). LOL. Then I decided to go to on to their beef stew and rice...yummers! The jasmine rice was a nice base for the stew. The beef tender, not stringy like others. Giant chunks of carrots, potatoes and onions; their burgundy sauce was on point, and atop of the jasmine rice, made me do the happy food dance. I will def be returning. read more

My wife and I decided to dine out for her 74th birthday. We arrived at the Pub Sunday evening around 4:00 PM. 12/15/24. We were promptly greeted and seated. That's when everything started to go downhill! We placed an order after finding out that their Prime Rib was not served on Sunday. I settled for a sliced roast beef sandwich A Jus and my wife ordered a hamburger with lettuce tomato onion and mayonnaise. My sandwich came out with the beef dried enough that it could have passed for Shredded straw! I could not eat it! My wife's burger came out more like a Tomato and Lettuce sandwich with a broad garnish! The waitress was the same person who greeted us and sat us disappeared except to bring our order I could not find her to voice our disappointment we also ordered a Hot Fudge Sundae which showed up as a Brownie with a scoop of ice cream and imitation whipped cream! The supervisor asked us to comment on our experience and when we told him he said she was disappearing all evening and didn't understand her problem! He didn't charge us for the brownie sundae but the Meal cost me $ 43.00! That's the last time we dine at the Pub! read more

We went to McGlynn's on Monday for half price appetizers all night. We ordered 4 appetizers for our dinner soft pretzels, the mixed combo, crab tots, and sesame wings. The pretzels tasted as if they were from Sysco. Frozen out of box and heated. No old world German flavor here. The nice presentation of putting stone ground mustard, honey mustard, and the Dijon mustard on the plate still didn't change the taste of this pretzel. Half price for the pretzels $5.25 The mixed combo of pork sliders, chicken fingers, mozzarella and onion rings as well as the crab tots left a layer of oil on the roofs of our mouth. Your large industrial fryer may need a cleaning. The pork on the slider was so dry. Half price for these two appetizers $13.00. Lastly, the Asian sesame wings, were by far the worst wings we have ever had. Half price $5.50. calculations 4 appetizers half price= $23.75 Not just imagine if I paid full price=$47.50 I cannot recommend eating at this restaurant nor would we ever want to come back half price or not. Just say down to our family get together of 8 of us. The place charges top dollar yet doesn't even have ice! How does the mgr not send out for 10 bags of ice? Apps came out cold and were horrible. Service was horrible took drink and app order and served them. Took an hour later to out in a food order and the place was empty. Horrible mgmt team, I'm sure you can do better! Ordered the Jerk chicken nachos, they came out as nacho chips with shredded chicken and cheese that's it! No salsa, no sour cream, no tomato and no jerk seasoning. I asked the waitress she said we're out of this things! lol. Place was horrible don't waste your time going, the staff from the mgr, the bartender (who touched me as she was trying to explain why they had no ice, which the mgr thought was ok. Very, very disappointed! The restaurant seemed a little busy but it was 12:20 on a Saturday. The waitress came over immediately to get our drink order then asked if we were ready to place our food order. When we said we need some time she disappeared. 15 minutes later she came back and took our order. So it was 12:35. We waited patiently at first and drank our drinks (actually needed refills) our waitress disappeared again. Then we waited and waited finally we got our burgers at 1:20 - 55 minutes after we placed the food order! No soup before the food as we requested. The fries were cool and soggy, one burger was cooked to order but just lukewarm. The other burger was over cooked and also lukewarm. The brioche rolls were hard and crumbly on the tops. It was inedible. Another waitress got our waitress and she wanted to discount our check, then heat everything up, then make new fries, then make new food, but we weren't able to wait another hour for lunch. Tables all around us who'd come in 20-30 minutes AFTER us were receiving their food before us. I asked for the manager and made him feel the cold soggy fries and he agreed that they were unacceptable. We refused to pay for the "food" and left. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! read more

Went on a busy Friday night. We had a 7:45 pm reservation and we were seated immediately. We ordered buffalo wings as an appetizer which were fine but nothing special. Four our entrees we had the Chesapeake mac and cheese and the braised short ribs. The chesapeake mac and cheese was phenomenal and was not lacking in seafood. I was never a fan, the food is mediocre and extremely over priced. But I recently revisited McGlynn's for a family member's birthday dinner and it was quite terrible. For starters, the floor is dirty and the bathroom is a hot mess. I walked down the hallway and saw styrofoam cups and half eaten bowls of popcorn just thrown to the side. It took almost two hours to get my food. The staff was constantly confused about who ordered what . They consistently assisted the other party and brought their food out even though we arrived first. I was advised by the manager that there was a ticket issue and that my food would be comped. I understand being short staffed but this clearly wasn't the case. It seems to be a flawed ordering system and poor customer service. My nachos were a hot mess and my wings were just ok. I'm pretty sure the only reason they remain in business is due to the lack of options in the area and the view of Silver Lake. First timer visiting from Baltimore !! I visited today for a graduation celebration and wasn't disappointed! I wish it wasn't raining I'd loved to seat outside to enjoy the view! I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and flavorful but it was too salty! I'm not salt sensitive but not sure if it was the Blackened season or what ! This afternoon my car club visited McGlynn's for lunch after a visit to Dover Speedway. Our group had 23 people and we didn't have a reservation. The restaurant not only accommodated us last minute, but they gave us the best server ever! Sophia was such a pleasure to work with!!! She was pleasant, thoughtful and just plain on the ball. Managing a large group can be difficult and she made it look like it was just another day. I was so impressed! We had such a lovely time at McGlynn's Dover and are already talking about going back! The food was so good too! There were a bunch of things on the menu that I wanted to try but couldn't order everything. Multiple trips are definitely needed!
