    After 10 years of making on-time, automatic deduction payments right from our bank, and making zero…read moreclaims in all that time, our auto policy was suddenly increased without warning or reason. I promptly went through Experian and found much better and cheaper insurance rates with Safeco and immediately called the Stenmoe Agency to request my auto policy be canceled. The woman on the phone practically begged me to stay with the company, but I had already started insurance with Safeco and had a better deal with them anyway. That was 12/3/2022 and was after I had already paid my premium in late November which would have covered me for the full month of December. By my calculations, this agency owes me about $97 for insurance coverage not used in December 2022. Little did I know that my request was never honored and I eventually began receiving emails requesting the payment supposedly missed for January. I followed up by chatting with an Allstate representative in late December on the Allstate.com website. That rep said she saw something really odd. She could see my request to cancel the auto policy, but didn't see it being processed. I was promised then the cancelation request would be processed. Since then, I continued to receive emails asking for payment. Today (January 9, 2023) I received a letter in the mail threatening me with cancelation due to non-payment! I chatted again with another Allstate representative at the Allstate.com site and expressed my frustration with the current situation. I was again told the cancelation would be processed soon and a refund ("if eligible") would follow a week or two after processing was complete. This representative took down and supposedly began processing the incorrect cancelation date of 1/3/2023 instead of 12/3/2022 and then said she couldn't do anything to fix that. When I asked for a manager (since she was unable to correct the error herself), I was dropped back into the bot chat and was left there. No one ever picked up the conversation again. I cannot recommend the Stenmoe Agency based on my experience. I am still waiting for resolution to this problem. I fully expect to have to write directly to Allstate next as I don't expect my refund to be processed correctly, if at all.

We are still receiving emails and letters from the company that our policy will be cancelled if we don't pay the bill. We have been fighting to get our refund for over a month. When we contacted Allstate, they said they saw a note that the policy was cancelled effective Dec 3rd, but the Agent never followed through and never actually processed the cancellation. We were also told it would be done. Then today Jan 9, another letter in the mail that it is still owed and was never processed. We are so tired of the company not following through with their promises.
