We were ordered some happy hour priced appetizers such as the Celtic knots, hummus and sausage rolls. All were tasty but I have to admit the knots were my favorite as I love hot pretzels. For dinner hubby and I shared the Hockin or flocking molly. A delicious combination of mashed potatoes and Irish sausages. All our servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Lil disappointed they do shift change in the middle of music bingo. Trying to get ppl to cash out while in the middle of the game is not easy. Bar tenders kept walking past a guy and paid no attention to him. I think 4 ppl bar tenders walked past him to go to tables and ignored him. He tried to get someone's attention with no luck. He put his wallet and credit card out, but that didn't help. Finally, our bartender came back near us finally and asked if we wanted another round but completely ignored him. I said, yes we need drinks, but he would like something, take care of him first. We ordered food and the guy put our food literally on top of our cards while in the middle of playing and trying to dab the cards. Why he didn't put it next to us was beyond me. Very rarely does a restaurant supersede my expectations. Open air vibe, impeccable service by Jenna and the best pot roast sandwich you will ever eat can change hearts and minds. Now. I understand why this place is always busy. I've been to Ireland where the food is mediocre at best and this is Ireland on steroids. My wife and I stopped for lunch on the patio on a beautiful January afternoon. My wife perused their very extensive beer menu and finally landed on a tasty German offering We got in our lunch orders and the food came out extremely quickly. My wife got the summer salad, adding chicken, and I got the Rowdy Birds Wrap. All of our food was very tasty and fresh. Service was very friendly and good. This was our first time at McGregor's House. It was a beautiful sunny day and we sat outside on the lovely appointed patio. All the servers were very friendly and told us to take our time. The music began at 2:00 exactly. The food was quite good and interesting.we shared the Whiskey Piggies, barbecue pork sliders. Then I had the Cobb Salad that was filled with Rasher, almonds, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, marinated peppers and served with a delicious home made blue cheese dressing. Dave had the pot roast encased in like a hand held pot pie. I only had one complaint. I am not a small person and all the chairs are metal with small seats. Judy had a dinner sized Cobb salad while I selected their dinner plate pot roast. Good choices. Outdoor seating was breezy & at a gorgeous 81degree. There was plenty of seating in or on the patio which is dog friendly. The Music projects well even inside. March is Irish and the music was our purpose in coming Nice mix of retired couples and younger. McGregor's is family friendly with two gates to contain loose kids or dogs. The service was fast and friendly. I had come for happy hour and wine which was only slightly higher than other local places at happy hour. The happy hour food menu was limited to 3 items and I don't frequent Irish pubs often and.I had no idea what any of the three selections were except something with sausage I ordered the rowdy bird wrap at $18.00 which was chicken, provolone and a ton of vegetables. I tasted a little provolone but I didn't taste or see any chicken in there although. If you order this it comes with a spicy ranch and it certainly is a bit spicy. The best spot in Bell Tower. We stopped in to get a light meal before a party and loved it. We had potato soup, soda bread, and the meat and cheese board. All exceptional. We started with the hummus which was OK, nothing special but our entrees were all to die for. My mom and I split the Mini Christa's and the Air Bee & Bree sandwich. Both were cooked perfectly and were the perfect balance of sweet and savory. My husband had the Puff Puff Pass Tee sampler which had 3 different pasties on it. I sampled each and was impressed with 2 of the three but he enjoyed them all. My daughter's meal was a hit too; a kids charcuterie board with 3 different meats, cheese, apples, oranges, blueberries, fruit snacks and Goldfish crackers. Iontach! Thats is amazing in Irish Gaelic! This has to be the best Irish Pub that I have ever frequented. The staff ,both Kary & Jena , were fantastic. Not only were they excellent servers & made us feel welcome but so were the clientele. This was the first time that my hubby and I were here and made to feel so very welcome. We felt as if we had entered the Irish pub version of Cheers. The food we ordered was so very delicious. They do have a scratch kitchen so everything is made to order so it does take a little time to prepare. Make sure you have time to relax and enjoy your time here. They made it clear we were unwelcome and they didn't want to serve us. Took forever to take our order when they were trying rush us out, made no sense. Then my friend sat at the bar for a long time holding her card out and the wouldn't come and take it until I yelled for attention after 1am.
