Very rarely does a restaurant supersede my expectations. Open air vibe, impeccable service by Jenna and the best pot roast sandwich you will ever eat can change hearts and minds. Now. I understand why this place is always busy. I've been to Ireland where the food is mediocre at best and this is Ireland on steroids. Live Irish music, food made with care and love that you can see and taste makes this place one of a kind special. And that casual vibe that I personally crave. So when you drive by this establishment and see how many people patronize it, know there's a reason.. It is what Marci calls " dining perfection ".

Rowdy Chickens Wrap

My wife and I stopped for lunch on the patio on a beautiful January afternoon. My wife perused their very extensive beer menu and finally landed on a tasty German offering We got in our lunch orders and the food came out extremely quickly. My wife got the summer salad, adding chicken, and I got the Rowdy Birds Wrap. All of our food was very tasty and fresh. Service was very friendly and good. The server did have a lot of tables outside to take care of. They do have indoor and outdoor table seating, and indoor and outdoor bar seating.

Stayed near by for work. Stopped by on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. Had great indoor and outdoor seating, staff extremely friendly, great beers on tap, and good food. Had a Cobb salad that was excellent and coworker had a burger that he devoured. Would definitely recommend coming here if in the area

Always great service and an amazing selection of beers and good food options as well. Dog friendly. Indoor/outdoor covered seating. This time we just had a few beers/ciders but the brie sandwich is a favorite for vegetarian options.

Fun spot to sit outside for lunch. The beer cheese soup is excellent, but you definitely need a bread with it. Servers are all very friendly. Root beer was awesome.

Excellent! Food and service was spot on. The servers worked as a team. Anyone passing you stopped and asked if you needed anything (and took away dishes). Portions were much larger than I expected. Had to take home food in a box. Note to self: Happy hour ends a 6pm. Live music started around 6:30ish. Will definitely return.

The bar and my rapidly dwindling flight.

We treasure McGregor Public House because of its authentic vibe, super helpful waitstaff, delicious food, and, oh yeah, amazing beer selection. From Miller Lite to Houblon Chouffe, if they don't have it, no place within 150 miles won't either.

Hummus A Tune

Great food, atmosphere, beer selection, and service. Stopped in here with my mom for lunch on a beautiful day, so we took advantage of the large outdoor patio. We had the Hummus A Tune, the When in Rome Wrap, and the Nice & Toastie, along with a Magner's cider draft and a Destihl Dill Pickle Sour Beer. Lots of tvs, plus quizzo and other events throughout the week. Will definitely be back soon!

This was our first time at McGregor's House. It was a beautiful sunny day and we sat outside on the lovely appointed patio. All the servers were very friendly and told us to take our time. The music began at 2:00 exactly. The food was quite good and interesting.we shared the Whiskey Piggies, barbecue pork sliders. Then I had the Cobb Salad that was filled with Rasher, almonds, hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, marinated peppers and served with a delicious home made blue cheese dressing. Dave had the pot roast encased in like a hand held pot pie. I only had one complaint. I am not a small person and all the chairs are metal with small seats. Quite uncomfortable to sit on for a long time. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

Food was tasty, hot and served appropriately in time. Many more options than their competitors. Our afternoon started with "whiskey piggie" sliders that were yummy and a black & tan. Judy had a dinner sized Cobb salad while I selected their dinner plate pot roast. Good choices. Outdoor seating was breezy & at a gorgeous 81degree. There was plenty of seating in or on the patio which is dog friendly. The Music projects well even inside. March is Irish and the music was our purpose in coming Nice mix of retired couples and younger. McGregor's is family friendly with two gates to contain loose kids or dogs. There is Immediate convenient parking which makes it better than most eateries. We had multiple servers who helped & provided immediate assistance. No waiting All in all a nice spring afternoon We are already planning our next activity here.

Sandwiches

We had two sandwiches that our waitress recommended. Lucky Luciano and the cousin from Killarney. Both were absolutely delicious. We started with the Irish Soda bread with butter, honey and jelly. Smithwick and Guinness on draft plus plenty more.

The Rowdy Bird wrap
Hugh B.

The service was fast and friendly. I had come for happy hour and wine which was only slightly higher than other local places at happy hour. The happy hour food menu was limited to 3 items and I don't frequent Irish pubs often and.I had no idea what any of the three selections were except something with sausage I ordered the rowdy bird wrap at $18.00 which was chicken, provolone and a ton of vegetables. I tasted a little provolone but I didn't taste or see any chicken in there although. If you order this it comes with a spicy ranch and it certainly is a bit spicy. The place was clean and only that had patrons at the bar but it was only about 4PM. Perhaps it's just me as I'm not an Irish pubs person but I think it's unlikely I would go back

Our server, Asia, was amazing and even took the time to explain the butter and everything that was in it, which was such a nice touch. We started with the gator bites, and they were terrific. Then our steak came out, and wow. I don't even have words. From the charred seasoning to the perfectly cooked center and the roasted garlic cooked perfectly alongside it, the steak was incredible. I'd recommend if ordering the tomahawk to go with a medium which will be closer to a medium rare since it's such a large thick cut, Every single bite was amazing. The sides were so good too. Definitely recommend the truffle fries and the Brussels sprouts. The rice wasn't my favorite side of the meal, but I still ate every bite. It was good, it just didn't compare to how amazing everything else was. The manager, Dino, checked on us, and since they were a little slow, (they shouldn't be lol) we ended up having a great conversation with him. That really made the experience. It's always nice when a manager takes the time to genuinely connect with guests instead of just managing. Now for dessert. I was stuck between the bread pudding and the brownie, and Asia said both were so good but to try the brownie first. God, am I glad I listened. At that point I was completely stuffed, but somehow I still ate the whole thing. It was that good. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. It was just a terrific experience all around. Great food, great service, great people, and not to mention the INSANE amount of food for such a great price. We left already talking about when we're coming back.

Caesar was mid with not much chicken - that one didn't feel good value for money. Waiter did his initial speech, took orders and then fell off face of earth. No refills until asked while getting the check after grabbing his attention (he looked confused about why we needed him). He seemed to be struggling to handle his section. We're not elderly but the music (inside) was a notch too loud. Made it hard to hear the waiter and talking amongst ourselves was annoying. It wasn't "fun loud" - just annoying. Side notes - the booth spelled bad. Like someone had wet themselves. Might be the material. Was gross. Almost left right away. Inside was weirdly humid too. I get we are in Florida but other restaurants seem to have figured it out. Probably won't be back.

It's set back quite a ways off the main road and easy to drive by. Inside, there's a small counter where you can eat and there are lots of tables and booths in the main room. On our visit we saw several larger (10-12) groups so they must be accommodating. We were seated right away and drinks ordered and delivered promptly. They have a fairly large menu and Daily Specials posted on the wall when you entered. Our server did another run down of the Specials when we asked. My wife had the Chef Salad ($11.99) and I has the Taco Salad Special ($13.99). Both salads were large, but the Chef Salad was HUGE. Loads of crisp, cold iceberg lettuce with some spinach greens, shredded carrot, cucumber slices, tomato, red onion, Swiss and American cheeses, turkey, hard boiled egg and ham. The thousand island dressing my wife ordered was very tasty. She ate half the salad, brought the other half home. My taco salad was great. Crisp iceberg lettuce and a few other greens topped with a generous portion of perfectly taco seasoned ground beef, all in a flour tortilla bowl. This was topped with shredded cheddar cheese, tomatoes, black olives and jalapenos. Sour cream and salsa came on the side. I also added a bit of Chalula hot sauce to zip up the flavor a bit. A great salad and I enjoyed it very much. Prices here are very reasonable and the portions are generous. We will go back.

It's sports themed through and through with a special emphasis decor wise on baseball. The parking lot was pretty full right outside the restaurant which is on the first floor of the Double Tree hotel with its own separate entrance. Inside, it was half full which was surprising as it was early. The bar was pretty busy, too -- with a few loud drunk guys talking a bit too loudly. Annoyingly so. The kids had pizza from the children's menu. One of the kids (with allergies) had grilled salmon. Two of the adults had the fire cracker shrimp appetizer (including me). It had a slight kick. The breaded shrimp were slathered in sauce which I scraped off a bit. But the shrimp were good. The other adult had the burger sliders appetizer. He said they were good with plenty of grilled onions. Price wise, it wasn't too bad. The server nicely explained which drinks came with refills and which did not. That was helpful. And she provided crayons and a coloring activity page to keep the kids busy. We wouldn't normally come to a hotel restaurant unless we were staying nearby. But if you have a kid into baseball, they would like the decor, the photos, and all the TVs showing sports.
