Great reasonable priced dinners apps. Catch the happy hour from 4-6 and great prices on Cocktails and apps. Never had a bad incident with service but it is often extremely crowded especially during snowbird season. Charming wood devote screams with elegance and charm. My suggestion is get there early!

TIP: Make it a point to ask for Sandra, she's a delightful, knowledgeable server. All our recent stops at University Grill have been especially delicious. Their New England clam chowder is especially delicious.

Last night before going to the Player's Circle Theater, my friends and I stopped here for dinner. This was my first time and I was impressed. We had a reservation for 530 and we showed up just on time. Two of my friends were already at the table so we joined them. The server, Scott was so kind, he offered us the early bird special!!! I was blown away by the offer and very appreciative. I got fish and chips and wow was it great! The batter was perfect as well as the portion size. I had a glass of house Chardonnay, and even that was delicious. I can't wait to return with my husband as I'm sure he will love it just as I do.

I love this place. Service is always friendly and attentive. Food is consistently good and the atmosphere is great. It is an older crowd which is fine for me.

Tried University Grill for the first time based on positive reviews from NextDoor. We went on a Friday right around 5:00. The place was already very busy. But even with no reservations, they were able to accommodate the two of us right away. The atmosphere is old school and reminded us of some cool restaurants that used to be located in downtown Denver (The Broker and Marlowes). It is quite loud, but it didn't take away from our experience. We both ordered fish and chips, which came with a salad. I did not care for the Caesar dressing, but my husband liked his garden salad with ranch dressing. The fish and fries were quite tasty and it is a good size portion. The real star for me was the bread and dipping sauce. As a result, I ate WAY too much bread! The service was friendly and we didn't wait long to order or get our food. We will be back to try some other menu items and for the bread and dipping sauce!

Elegant atmosphere with upscale vibe. The restaurant has a full bar and good menu with steak, burger and seafood options. I had the filet and my husband had the prime rib. Both meals were very good. We shared the triple chocolate cake which was amazing! Server was very attentive and kind. Price point is moderate-high. This is a great place for date night or a nice dinner. We will definitely be back.

This place is definitely a local hangout. Lots of regulars are in the bar area. We sat in the bar area and the servers honored the bar menu and also the dining menu. Such awesome choices. We met a friend who recommended the place and we were very pleased. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly & prompt. Being in this atmosphere ,felt like a martini kind of place so I got their Re/Max Appletini. The Appletini was strong! WOW! I'm a lightweight. I ordered water for sure and managed to sip it. I ordered Buffalo Chicken tenders. Wow! So delicious and I think I had 7 tenders. I also got their mashed potatoes. Soooo yummy. My friend ordered their meatballs and mashed potatoes. The meatballs were three and really big! My friend said they were the best meatballs and really enjoyed her mashed potatoes too. My hubby got their crunchy chicken on salad. OMG!!! 2 huge pieces of chicken on his salad. He said they were very tasty and he would get it again. We were very pleased with everything and will return!

We ordered guacamole with tap 42 touch - highly recommend - and crispy rice salmon -yum! For our mains we got the mahi mahi sandwich and their popular chicken Cesar wrap. Everything was fresh and delicious. I'd love to come back for the evening vibe on the rooftop with music and hang out in their lounge area to experience a different side of this venue. We're not elderly but the music (inside) was a notch too loud. Made it hard to hear the waiter and talking amongst ourselves was annoying. It wasn't "fun loud" - just annoying. Side notes - the booth spelled bad. Like someone had wet themselves. Might be the material. Was gross. Almost left right away. Inside was weirdly humid too. I get we are in Florida but other restaurants seem to have figured it out. Probably won't be back.

It's sports themed through and through with a special emphasis decor wise on baseball. The parking lot was pretty full right outside the restaurant which is on the first floor of the Double Tree hotel with its own separate entrance. Inside, it was half full which was surprising as it was early. The bar was pretty busy, too -- with a few loud drunk guys talking a bit too loudly. Annoyingly so. The kids had pizza from the children's menu. One of the kids (with allergies) had grilled salmon. Two of the adults had the fire cracker shrimp appetizer (including me). It had a slight kick. The breaded shrimp were slathered in sauce which I scraped off a bit. But the shrimp were good. The other adult had the burger sliders appetizer. He said they were good with plenty of grilled onions. Price wise, it wasn't too bad. The server nicely explained which drinks came with refills and which did not. That was helpful. And she provided crayons and a coloring activity page to keep the kids busy. We wouldn't normally come to a hotel restaurant unless we were staying nearby. But if you have a kid into baseball, they would like the decor, the photos, and all the TVs showing sports.

What makes Mango Rita's so special is the incredible lineup of tribute bands they bring in every week. If you grew up on the music of the 70s, 80s, and 90s like we did, this place is a dream. We've seen amazing tributes to bands like KISS, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Mötley Crüe and more--and the quality of the bands is outstanding. In fact, the shows are so good that we sometimes plan our trips to Fort Myers around which bands are playing! Beyond the music, the atmosphere is fantastic and the crowd always seems to be having a great time. It's one of those places where everyone is there to enjoy the music and have fun. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, J.J. and her husband, and hearing their story. They previously owned one of the largest nightclubs on the East Coast in Maryland before bringing their passion for live music to Fort Myers Beach. After Hurricane Ian destroyed their original location, they rebuilt their vision further inland--and we're so glad they did. They're a wonderful couple and you can tell how much heart they put into this place. If you love live music, especially classic rock and iconic bands, Mango Rita's Rhythm Room is an absolute must-visit. We look forward to every show and can't wait for many more nights of great music there!
