My daughter-in-law and my friend had the chicken tenders and I had the steak and noodle bowl. Caesar was mid with not much chicken - that one didn't feel good value for money. Waiter did his initial speech, took orders and then fell off face of earth. No refills until asked while getting the check after grabbing his attention (he looked confused about why we needed him). He seemed to be struggling to handle his section. We're not elderly but the music (inside) was a notch too loud. Made it hard to hear the waiter and talking amongst ourselves was annoying. It wasn't "fun loud" - just annoying. Side notes - the booth spelled bad. Like someone had wet themselves. Might be the material. Was gross. Almost left right away. Inside was weirdly humid too. We decided to come here for Easter brunch for their "Bad Bunny" brunch with a DJ. Turns out the DJ wasn't starting until after noon (we arrived at 11), and they were very booked up with reservations. We luckily snagged a last-minute table. Patio is pet friendly. I think with this being a restaurant in a strip mall, they should leave more tables for walk-ins and not take so many reservations. Tonight was really disappointing. We showed up at 10:20 PM with a party of six adults and two kids, 40 minutes before the kitchen closing time of 11:00 PM. The hostess seemed ready to seat us until she realized we were a party of eight. Suddenly, the wait became 45 minutes, which just happened to put us past kitchen closing. My niece graduated tonight which ended late, and there weren't many places still open. Before leaving, I even called the restaurant to make sure they were still serving. I couldn't get a person on the phone, but the restaurant's AI confirmed they were open and seating guests. Ali, the hostess, checked with the manager, Josh, to see if we could be accommodated. He said no. I asked if I could speak with him directly because I was willing to be flexible. I was told he was too busy to come speak with me. I was told it's because we were a party of eight... When I asked if we could split into two tables of four, the answer was no. Four tables of two? Also no. Every possible solution was immediately shut down. I want to be clear that I don't blame Ali. She was polite and seemed to be doing what she was told. My frustration is with the management or lack there of. If the restaurant didn't want to take a larger party that close to closing, just say that. Don't tell us you're open, leave us standing there looking at empty tables for 10 minutes and then refuse every reasonable option. Had someone answered the phone when I first called, we could have made other plans. Instead, we chose this restaurant because it seemed like the best late night option, and our family ended up going home without dinner after a graduation. I had so much fun last night here!! This is by far the best tap 42 location I have been to. Much better than all the Miami ones!! The terraces are absolutely stunning. Perfect for a brunch. We have to come back for that!! We came for dinner last night and the food was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection and the Mac and cheese was delicious. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with the cool wallpaper. I would def come back!! My only complain was the waitress who charged us while we were in the middle of our dessert. I hate that. We stopped in after the front desk at our hotel recommended Tap 42, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad wrap, and my husband got the truffle filet steak sandwich. Both were outstanding and generously stuffed. The fries were incredibly addictive-crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and served piping hot. Service was excellent. Our server, Jimmy (I believe), checked on us often, made great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. We came in later in the evening, and although it wasn't very busy, service was quick and efficient. There are plenty of TV's in the bar area, which is great for sport fans like us, though the music was a bit loud-that was the only minor downside. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but since it was raining, we are inside. My husband said the truffle filet steak sandwich was one of the best steak sandwiches he's ever had, and my Caesar wrap was just as good. Portions were generous, and we still managed to clean our plates. Great bar selection with lots of beer and drink options. Not close to us, but almost worth the drive just to eat here again. We truly enjoyed our food. I ordered the Wagyu steak bowl, my husband ordered the chicken and waffles, another friend ordered the sushi bowl and the fourth friend ordered the ribs. When we kept an apartment in Coral Gables, Tap 42 was just a short walk away and I became hooked on their Prohibition burger. I was thrilled to see that they had opened one in Fort Myers! Katelyn was our server and she was attentive and helpful. Would definitely ask for her again. They have weekly specials that everyone should pay attention to. The burger was damn fine. The wife and I dined at Tap 42 for a late lunch. We both ordered Smash Burgers, and were both disappointed in what was served. Two greasy pieces of meat, cheese and a bun. How about some lettuce, pickles, tomato and onion to complete the burger, along with the usual condiments. The wine and beer list is very limited. We were hoping for a better variety and selection. The restaurant is really nice inside, though I could do without the TV's everywhere, and how about playing some music, to liven the atmosphere up. We were seated in a nice booth, but they made these for patrons 7' tall. I am 6' tall, and my feet were off the ground. This made the seating uncomfortable. Service was passable, but the waitress disappeared and had a grating sharp voice and talked way too loud. The restaurant scene in Ft Meyers and Cape Coral is simply abysmal. The flavor was there, I'll give it that--nicely seasoned. But the execution? That bun was soggy. Nothing kills a sandwich faster than bread that can't hold itself together. You bite in expecting a satisfying flavor and texture and instead get... mush. Disappointing, because the bones of this sandwich are solid. Just needs better follow-through. Service landed somewhere in the middle--not horrible, not memorable. It got the job done without wowing us. One thing to note if you're planning a weekend visit: this place transforms into a full-on club scene after hours upstairs with li d DJ. We're talking concert-level sound. We visited at 4:45 on Father's Day. The restaurant was busy but not packed, and we were seated outside right away. It took about 8 minutes for our server, Marissa, to greet us, which was surprising since she had walked past our table several times without acknowledgment. She was very soft-spoken and seemed more focused on her table tablet than engaging with us. Bar drinks came from a different server and took a bit longer. The menu has some unique options, but several items can't be modified--even just to remove a sauce or spice, which may not work for everyone. The food was hit or miss: the filet sandwich had more bread than meat, the baby back ribs were were okay but didn't fall off the bone, and my chicken sandwich had clearly sat in the window too long. While the place is beautifully designed and has potential, the service and food execution need refining. There is outdoor seating but with cooler temps we decided inside was the best option. The booths are spacious and comfortable. Our waitress was kind and attentive even though it was clear she had a full plate with lots of tables. Our drinks and food came out within a decent time frame. Now the food was ON POINT. There is a wide variety of options for every need from steak to tuna & salmon to chicken and vegetarian. Salads, burgers, poke bowls and noodles. I could go on and on about how many different options they have. The flavor was perfection and each of us cleaned our plates which in our family is extremely rare. Place was nice. Had a cool vibe, but it is very loud inside. The roof top was closed when I went. It's only open Wednesday through Saturday and you can only get drinks and appetizers on the roof top. The items I tried were good, but I found everything to be overpriced and the food quality wasn't on par with price. We visited on July 7th and, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from beginning to end. Our table of six was provided with only one drink menu. By the time I had the opportunity to review it, our server had already taken everyone else's drink orders and left the table. He later returned with their drinks before taking my order. When our meals were served, everyone at the table received their food except me because my burger had not been entered into the order. After waiting for it to be prepared, my burger finally arrived, but it was significantly undercooked and had to be sent back. At that point, everyone else had already finished their meals. Rather than making the rest of my party wait even longer, I asked for my meal to be boxed to go. I spoke with the manager afterward and asked whether our server had informed her about the issues with our table. She was unaware of what had happened, which was especially disappointing given the number of service issues we experienced. Although she offered a gift card, I respectfully declined because, based on this experience, I do not plan to return. This visit fell well below the level of service and quality I expect from a restaurant, and I hope this feedback is taken seriously to help prevent similar experiences for future guests. read more

The food here is on the pricier side, so I usually get side items which are pretty decent sized portions anyway. The staff seemed very unorganized because three different servers came up to the table to take care of us, so they clearly did not know their sections. We sat outside, which isn't too bad. At least you can, or could talk to your dinner companions, that was until the club started upstairs at 8pm and suddenly the we were forced to yell over insanely loud music flooding from the upstairs. We got there in time for their happy hour which you can get the drinks anywhere you sit for $10 I got a wonderful cucumber drink, Blazin' Cucumber. They also have daily specials on Monday. They have a pretty good burger special. There are three delicious burgers are $12 with fries and a purchase of a drink. I had the Drunken Goat, which was a combination of beef and lamb so delicious.
