I had so much fun last night here!! This is by far the best tap 42 location I have been to. Much better than all the Miami ones!! The terraces are absolutely stunning. Perfect for a brunch. We have to come back for that!! We came for dinner last night and the food was amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection and the Mac and cheese was delicious. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with the cool wallpaper. I would def come back!! My only complain was the waitress who charged us while we were in the middle of our dessert. I hate that. But didn't ruin the experience I had a lot of fun and a great meal.

I had bookmarked this place for a while and finally got to check it out on a late Friday afternoon. It is in a two-story building at Bell Tower. Happy Hour food and drinks are served at the bar. We love their cocktails and ended up trying three different margaritas. Food was very good. The bartender was very helpful on giving us recommendations. Staff was very friendly. Thank you for bringing us another chicken tender after we dropped one on the floor.

If you like to party this is the place for you.., Amber and onyx hues give an upscale feel to this eatery that everyone wants to dine at. Not gonna lie food is slow to come out but worth the wait. Wings served with three sauces and fresh legumes. Creative burgers like lamb with fresh goat cheese and a special fruit spread is to die for. Creative cocktails. Rooftop entertainment and so much more. And staff like Kiara who know their craft make this place something special. You wanna know why people come here in droves? Because the food, the service, the ambiance is everything... And why it is one of my personal favorite eateries...

Tap 42 is an excellent spot for drinks, beers, and food. The appetizers and meals are quite delicious. There's a spacious outdoor patio, a rooftop bar, and ample indoor seating. The vibe is lively. Tap 42 is situated in a big shopping center with plenty of parking available.

Very nice restaurant with delicious food and good service. I love the bottomless mimosa brunch. The eggrolls are really good. The salmon sushi rice is really good as well. I didn't care for the calamari, it's kind of bland and the texture was rubbery. The chicken, lettuce wraps were really good, very flavorful and tender. My only qualm is that they need more servers. Overall good place!

First off, Garth, our server, was awesome. He made sure that my cocktail (which was ordered prior to 6pm) got onto the happy hour orders. He also made sure I got the caramelized onions I requested on my burger. Very attentive. Burgers were good. In our opinion, the fries were a bit over salted. Cheesesteak egg rolls were delicious but we felt that there should be more than two cut in half for the price. We sat outside which was perfect.

This place has a ton of seating, outside seating, cool rooftop, inside seating, ambiance is very nice and fun vibe. Food was good, a lot of options on the menu. The tuna tartare is spicy and we ordered it to not be, but it def still was, however it was really good especially if you like spicy. Truffle filet sandwich was sooo good. If you like truffle, you will love this. Fries were good, be sure to order them well done if you like crispy fries. Service was fast but not the friendliest. Great lunch or dinner spot or even date night.

We stopped in after the front desk at our hotel recommended Tap 42, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad wrap, and my husband got the truffle filet steak sandwich. Both were outstanding and generously stuffed. The fries were incredibly addictive-crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and served piping hot. Service was excellent. Our server, Jimmy (I believe), checked on us often, made great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. We came in later in the evening, and although it wasn't very busy, service was quick and efficient. There are plenty of TV's in the bar area, which is great for sport fans like us, though the music was a bit loud-that was the only minor downside. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but since it was raining, we are inside. My husband said the truffle filet steak sandwich was one of the best steak sandwiches he's ever had, and my Caesar wrap was just as good. Portions were generous, and we still managed to clean our plates. Great bar selection with lots of beer and drink options. Not close to us, but almost worth the drive just to eat here again. Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area.

We truly enjoyed our food. I ordered the Wagyu steak bowl, my husband ordered the chicken and waffles, another friend ordered the sushi bowl and the fourth friend ordered the ribs. Everyone was completely satisfied with their meals. Our server who I think his name was Darth or Garth did a great job. He was also training another young man. I can't tell you exactly his name either because the restaurant is loud and echoing. I loved the decor and the ambience, but the noise level is uncomfortable. We sat at a table inside near the bar. I don't even have any hearing issues but as food prices get more expensive. I look at the total picture when I go out to eat. It was great that their food taste so good, but was I comfortable the whole time, no.

When we kept an apartment in Coral Gables, Tap 42 was just a short walk away and I became hooked on their Prohibition burger. I was thrilled to see that they had opened one in Fort Myers! Katelyn was our server and she was attentive and helpful. Would definitely ask for her again. They have weekly specials that everyone should pay attention to. The burger was damn fine. Just as tasty as I remember. Someone in our party got the burger medium well ( I know, I know) and I was fearful that all 3 would be cooked the same, but they were all PERFECT. Cocktails were great and restrooms were clean. Already planning a return!

Tonight was my 35th bday! Ill go in reverse order this time: Ambiance: dim light, color notes of dark brown and black. Bamboo lanterns. Palm frond patterned wall paper. Restaurant volume: hard to hear across the table. Service: Alex was great. True hype man. They say the first 30 sec through the door leaves the longest impression. Here's where I give my defense with a bite: not a great impression if im being honest. I made an open table reservation for 6, but my friend brought his fiance, so 7. Said hostess brings us to a booth. Ya try a party of 7 squishing together at a booth. Hard pass. I ask about upstairs. "Its wet, and slippery..was her first answer. Try again. Its only open weds-sat and its just a bar. Ah the truth. Then we ask about these longer tables. "Well, those are reserved." Me: so like what I did, ala open table? (Was my intruding thoughts) long story short and as seen in pic below...the manger sat us at Said long table. Food: 2nd time at tap42 but different location...food was great. My chicken was crispy, the stroop waffles were sweet, the sweet potato fries were hot n crispy. Nice touch w the sweet marshmallow like dipping sauce..almost felt like eating a dessert. Which leads me to my final point...the dessert: chocolate chip bread pudding. So rich, so thick, perfect cut from the vanilla ice-cream Im stuffed. Greetings aside, this was a great bday celebration.

    Happy Birthday Ernie.

We made reservations on Open Table, and I wanted to ensure I got my points. The computer is down.......sorry. They let us to a high top table. I do not want a high top. Took many minutes to decide which table to seat us at. We were there when they opened at 4pm and were the ONLY customers in the restaurant. When we left at 5:45pm we were STILL the only customers in the restaurant. Finally they seated us at a table. The absolute most uncomfortable chairs in the history of dining. Chairs with wooden bottoms. They explained that there was a concert this evening, and the place was booked full. OK. why not explain that on the web-site, so we could come another night. Or better yet, don't accept reservations for that evening. The noise level was horrible. Everyone of the staff scurrying around, moving tables, and chairs, setting up the speakers. Yelling, yelling, yelling, yelling. Could not hear myself think. Then, one of the owners opens a cabinet, and around 50 glasses come tumbling out, crashing to the floor and breaking. OK accidents happen. Then the performer arrived. Sorry, I do not know who he is, but the entire staff did and were very excited. They dropped everything and started taking photos with him. Then, they had to spend another 15 minutes showing each other the photos. This whole time, we are still the only customers, and we were totally ignored. The web site says happy hour is 4-6PM. The waitress tells us because of the party the happy hour is only lunch. Then, she asks a manager, and they bring a happy hour menu. We order from the regular and the happy hour menu. The one good note is that the cod fritters and the ham croquettes were excellent. The paella was soupy (I understand some folks enjoy it that way. I like mine with crispy rice) The waitress was very nice. She said she was sorry about all the confusion. We finally flagged her down and asked for the bill. She did, in fact, give us happy hour pricing. But, sorry, that does not make up for the evening. We left thinking that we would come back another day and give it a try. But, the next morning we woke up saying it was a horrible experience, and it is just not worth it. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g34230-d33076380-r1056307800-Taberna_Ole-Fort_Myers_Florida.html#

We started with the mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer with tomatoes. It was an interesting dish and definitely well executed, though I expected a few more tomatoes on the plate. The prosciutto seemed lightly pan-seared, which gave it a crispy texture that I really enjoyed, and the bread was wonderfully crisp as well. Overall, a solid starter. The main event for me was the Kona-crusted bone-in New York strip, cooked medium. I've had this dish at other Capital Grille locations, and it continues to be one of my favorites. The Kona coffee crust paired with the sauce is such a great flavor combination. The steak itself was a very good cut of meat, tender and not tough at all. I personally would have liked a little more sauce, but I can also understand that the coffee marinade and crust are meant to be the star. For dessert, I had the chocolate espresso cake, and it was excellent. It struck a great balance: rich and decadent without being overly sweet. The service was also excellent. I feel bad that I can't remember our server's name, but he mentioned he was fairly new, around seven months in, and he did a wonderful job. Friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. We even left him a taste of our bottle of wine to help him end his shift on a good note. This location is great and absolutely delivers what you want from The Capital Grille: polished meals and first-class service. Here's a slightly more concise version if you want something that feels a little more like a Yelp post: Fort Myers Capital Grille delivered exactly what I hope for from this restaurant: polished food and first-class service. The mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer was interesting and well done. I would have liked a few more tomatoes, but the crispy prosciutto was very good, and the bread was wonderfully crisp. A nice start to the meal. The highlight was the Kona-crusted bone-in New York strip, cooked medium. I've ordered this dish at other Capital Grille locations and it remains one of my favorites. The Kona coffee crust and sauce are such a great combination, and this was a very good cut of steak--tender, flavorful, and not tough at all. I would have enjoyed a little more sauce, but the coffee crust really is the star. Dessert was the chocolate espresso cake, which was rich, decadent, and nicely balanced without being overly sweet. Service was excellent as well. I can't remember our server's name, but he mentioned he was fairly new and still did a wonderful job. Attentive, professional, and a big part of why the experience felt so polished. Overall, this location absolutely lives up to the Capital Grille standard.

This meal was perfection. Celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here, and it was a dinner to…read moreremember! Everything was absolutely delicious. I also have food allergies and I appreciated that they were able to accommodate me. Ambiance was very romantic, we were seated off to the side in a private room. Everyone who spoke with us and waited on us was so kind and helpful. Definitely a splurge, spent over $350 for 2 people. But WELL worth it.
