This was our first time here and we loved it! Neither of us had a Tomahawk steak before so we gave it a shot (typically get porter house for 2 at steakhouses) and it was absolutely delicious! Medium rare, this will definitely be our choice when we come back. We got a side of creamed spinach and lobster whipped potatoes which both were good and it was all just the right amount of food for my husband and I to share. Paired with the Tried & True wine, chef's kiss! I would not say the lobster and crab appetizer blew our hair back, but it was good. I will lean to try a different app next time. Wish they had oysters, unless I just missed seeing it on the menu. Not pictured, was the bread.... My goodness, it was fresh, warm and sooooo good!! Had a sweetness to it and the melted butter glaze on it was everything! There was something that tasted different to me with my vodka martini .. could not put my finger on it, likely whatever brand used for the vermouth? but all in all we both enjoyed our cocktails. And we loved the Tried & True wine with our meal!! Great service and the birthday card with ribbon was such a nice and warming touch! Made me feel like I was a regular/family on our first experience. Everyone was friendly and nice. Romantic vibes. Perfect for our date night / early birthday celebration . We enjoyed a night cap at the bar. Came in for the Monday Tomahawk Steak Dinner for 2 for date night, and it was absolutely perfect. Starting off My boyfriend and I both quickly agreed the bread was the best we've ever had. Our server, Asia, was amazing and even took the time to explain the butter and everything that was in it, which was such a nice touch. We started with the gator bites, and they were terrific. Then our steak came out, and wow. I don't even have words. From the charred seasoning to the perfectly cooked center and the roasted garlic cooked perfectly alongside it, the steak was incredible. I'd recommend if ordering the tomahawk to go with a medium which will be closer to a medium rare since it's such a large thick cut, Every single bite was amazing. The sides were so good too. Definitely recommend the truffle fries and the Brussels sprouts. The rice wasn't my favorite side of the meal, but I still ate every bite. It was good, it just didn't compare to how amazing everything else was. The manager, Dino, checked on us, and since they were a little slow, (they shouldn't be lol) we ended up having a great conversation with him. That really made the experience. It's always nice when a manager takes the time to genuinely connect with guests instead of just managing. Now for dessert. I was stuck between the bread pudding and the brownie, and Asia said both were so good but to try the brownie first. God, am I glad I listened. At that point I was completely stuffed, but somehow I still ate the whole thing. It was that good. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. It was just a terrific experience all around. Tuesdays happen to be the perfect night to visit because they offer a three-course meal for two for just $45, which felt like a great deal. We both started with fresh salads before moving on to our steaks. I ordered the Umami steak, while he went with a red wine sauce preparation. For sides, I had the twice-baked potato and he chose the loaded baked potato -- both were hearty and flavorful. It wasn't the most amazing thing I've had but it was worth the price For dessert, we split the bread pudding, which was warm, rich, and decadent. The portions were huge, though, so we ended up taking most of the dessert to go. Celebrated our 41st anniversary and decided to try somewhere different, so we decided on KJ's Stake house. Well it did not disappoint us, the place was clean and the atmosphere was lovely, the staff was very welcoming and professional, they even set up the table for us with a red ribbon and card stating congratulation, now the food was amazing we had sirloin steak with baked potato and one with mashed potato and a house salad with vinaigrette and finished with a complimentary brownie with ice cream, over all it was a lovely evening. read more

K&J's Steakhouse Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon about 4 pm. They were not that busy, so we got a table right way. They even had two large banquet rooms for private parties. This place was neat and clean. Our server Talia was on the ball with our drinks, food order and any questions we had. For Appetizer we got the Shrimp Cocktail. I ordered the 12oz Lage Cut Prime Rib med well with Baked Potato and Salad. My wife ordered the 8oz regular cut Prime Rib med well with Baked Potato and Salad. They brought out warm Bread to start with and then our Shrimp Cocktail. The Bread and Shrimp Cocktail was very good. Our Salads came out next and all looked fresh, and I loved that the Salad was cold and was served on a cold plate. Our main ordered came out and they looked amazing. Mine was so good and the Steak was done perfect even the Baked Potato was good. Now my wife ordered the wrong Steak she wanted the Filet Mignon but ordered the Prime Rib. This was not the Steakhouses fault but hers. They said not a problem we will make it right and make her a Filet Mignon. I was shocked they would go to that lengths to make things right for her. They even brought her a baked Potato to eat while they made her Filet and so I did not eat alone. The Special Events Coordinator Dino stopped by our table, and we thanked him for what they were doing for her and made sure he knew it was our fault not the restaurants. When her Steak came out it was done perfect. All our food was hot, done perfect, tasty and plenty of it. We went to K. J. Steakhouse to enjoy a New Year's Eve meal and had an 8:30 pm reservation. We were Seated by 9:00 pm after a 30 minute wait for our table. For that inconvenience we were given a dessert gift certificate by management. Our Waiter , Jack , apologized profusely for his delay in attending to our table. Staff was very busy catering to the abundance of patrons dining at K. J. Steakhouse to celebrate the coming New Year. We both ordered the loaded potato soup to begin with and that was followed by our steak dinner. I had the filet with loaded baked potato and my companion had steak with rice. We both raved about the loaded potato soup. It was sooo good my companion ordered two more to go ... Yum ! Next we moved on to the steak. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection. Delicious ! We loved the ambiance of K. J.'s There is a bar area , a central dining room with tables and booths. There are also little side rooms to accommodate overflow or small groups. We were led to a small room with six tables set in an intimate , some may say romantic , corner of the restaurant. Fresh Flowers on every table was a nice touch. Our Waiter , Jack , was enthusiastic and friendly as he attended to our table. The ambiance & food rate 5 Stars. The service was slow due to the holiday crowd but our Waiter Jack compensated us with his politeness and attentiveness. We will be back. But next time we will try a Monday or a Tuesday when hopefully the place won't be as packed as on a holiday. Private parking lot available. That's always a plus in my opinion. read more

We weren't sure about the location of the restaurant at first but we read great reviews and had to check it out. When you walk in there's a dark but warm vibe. Everything was clean and the booths were comfortable. The sever Mickey was so sweet and had a great personality. She was knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions. We started with drinks, a margarita and a beer, which were pretty good! We each got the filet mignon 8oz, which was cooked to perfection, and so delicious, along with fries and the crispy Brussels. First time at this establishment and it was not bad.. Prices were okay. Overall, it was decent. I've had better steak. I will say the gator bites was good though. I do recommend making a reservation ahead of time to avoid waiting. Manager that night I went was super nice and accommodating. Started off with a smoked at the table old fashioned and hot bread (we asked for the sweet butter on the side instead of over top), got a second helping. We had dinner at KJ's for a birthday celebration. We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arriving. The restaurant itself isn't very big, but it was comfortable and clean. I ordered the surf and turf with steak and lobster. The steak was really small, but it was cooked perfectly and season well. The lobster was a little tough, but it was still good. The twice baked potatoes were SO tasty. They were really big, packed with flavor and one of the best parts of my meal. The loaf of bread you get ahead of your meal is great! It had a sweet glaze with a sprinkle of salt. It was crazy good! The same glaze is on the bread pudding, which was delicious. Custard like in the center and toasted on the outside. This is my 5th visit to KJ's in the past year. My 4th time doing the Tomahawk steak for 2. I have to say we were disappointed in the meal this time. The have raised the prices which is acceptable. However the steak this time was below average from the previous experience. First we ordered it medium rare, the only piece that was this way was the closest to the bone. Everything else was medium well. The fried Brussel sprouts appetizer was good. The steak was not tender like before and we always take home enough meat for another meal for the two of us. What we took home was enough for a sandwich for 1. This meat had a lot more fat on it. I would say the service was just average. Nothing like we experienced in prior visits even with a large table. Not extremely friendly and it appeared he was not enjoying having a 10 person table. We had the bread pudding for dessert and even that was not as good as before. This place is an amazing place to eat and the manager Dominic goes out of his way to make sure you are satisfied with everything. He works hard to please his customers. We had a reservation booked in advance for a birthday dinner, but unfortunately the experience felt disorganized from the start. When we arrived, the table was not set and there was confusion about where we were supposed to be seated, despite having a reservation. The food itself was good, but the service and overall experience didn't match what you'd expect for a planned occasion. There was little acknowledgment of the reservation or the birthday, and the flow of service felt inattentive. After reading other reviews, it seems reservation handling may be an ongoing issue. The restaurant has potential, but better organization and attention to reservations would make a big difference. read more

They must have run out of Filets, cause the over salted and over buttered thing they served was probably some kind of sirloin. For the price, you would expect a higher quality cut of meat. My guests enjoyed their steak and one guest had the bass and enjoyed it. Service was slow and they did not take much interest in clearing the table. Bait and Switch - Extremely Disappointing Experience If I could give negative stars, I would. As a Fort Myers local, I will not be recommending KJ's Steakhouse on US-41 to my clients, coworkers, friends, or family after what happened on February 15, 2026 at 11:15am. My family of four visited specifically for the advertised hamburger-and-drink lunch deal offered daily from 11:00am-3:00pm. This promotion was clearly listed both on the restaurant's website and on the printed menu provided by the hostess. We had even ordered this exact deal the previous Sunday without issue. After being seated for several minutes, our server came to the table and abruptly informed us that they would not be honoring the hamburger-and-drink deal. No explanation was provided beyond his statement that he had already "run off" at least five tables yesterday because of it -- which he oddly seemed proud of. That comment alone speaks volumes about the level of customer service. A nearby table overheard the exchange and shared that they were denied the same deal on Valentine's Day due to the holiday. However, February 15th is not Valentine's Day, and there was no posted signage, disclaimer, or written notice anywhere stating that the promotion would not be honored. After hearing this, those guests left as well, clearly upset. Advertising a promotion in writing and then refusing to honor it without clearly disclosed exclusions raises serious concerns. Under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (Florida Statutes §501.204), unfair or deceptive acts or practices in trade or commerce are unlawful. Advertising a daily special and then refusing to provide it -- without clearly posted limitations -- closely resembles a classic bait-and-switch tactic. This was not about the price of a hamburger. It was about principle, transparency, and basic customer respect. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I cannot recommend dining here and will be advising others accordingly. read more
