Yes, I know credit card companies charge merchants a small percentage fee for transactions. However, charging extra for debit cards is a ripoff as processing them does not cost them anything. Also, one of the gas attendants attempted to intimidate my father by reaching through the window and grabbing the steering wheel after my father refused to move the car up to a different pump since he had already turned it off. There was no one else at the station and the pump did work, so the demand was unnecessary and the attendant certainly didn't have to react in a physical and threatening manner.

At this point I got out and pumped my own, he still says nothing, I finish and got $50 not the full tank I wanted because it was set to attendant mode and I didn't know how to get more. He then still ignored me and went over to another car driven by a man who pulled up and started helping him. I'm not incapable of doing it but it's the law and your job.
