Kim, Thank you for finally getting back to me. I called another dealer who was much more knowledgeable, confirmed a CEVA Logistics delivery in my area, and placed the order all in one phone call over the phone and received an email confirmation - available after 10-1-2021 with a receipt! I called Howard Miller customer service this morning and they confirmed there were no CEVA Logistics restrictions in my area. I find out from you this afternoon almost 5 days later via email that you can order the clock but you still don't know the total price. Who's on first? You didn't get this sale for good reason. There was no urgency on your part whatsoever and I found another dealer. Jason had a very nice video of the Eisenhower which clinched my decision to buy it. He also said McGuires can drop ship anywhere in the United States. A nice family company. Brought an older small grandfather clock in to be repaired. They were happy to do it even though the clock was not great quality. Took about 7 weeks to be repaired. Cost around $600 and $100 to deliver it back to my father's home. Some amazing clocks in their shop. Someday maybe I can purchase one. Very grateful they were willing to repair it. read more

McGuires Clocks recently cleaned and repaired our antique Coo coo and grandfather's clocks. They did the work expertly, within a reasonable time, and at what I think were reasonable prices. The repair of the grandfather's clock was done at a house call. We can't imagine going any place else to get such good service. read more

Keeping Austin "Local, Family Owned and Run" WOW!!!!!!! Talk about red carpet treatment they really delivered and beyond. After telling Josh & crew my excited plans for our company surprise gift at our Presidents farewell party they stepped right up and got involved instead of saying "oh that's nice" good luck! Service with a smile and craftsmanship: They picked up my borrowed rickety wooden easel; fixed it and felt lined the mount turning the whole thing into a real show stopper of a display to unveil including counter weights so it would stand straight to allow the clock to chime. WOW Wish I could attach a picture it was amazing and they were beaming with pride when they re-delivered it for the party. Upon asking the dreaded "How much" question they simply blushed and said "Nothing, it was our pleasure". Needless to say we requested a new invoice to include their hard work and passion which we were delighted to pay. I needed to get a few links removed from my watch. I was afraid that a clock store might think my problem was silly and waste of their time. This was not the case at McGuire's Clocks. Who is that rude woman who is supposed to be helping customers. Does she know how to say thank you and act pleased. that your spending your money (and I must say an over inflated) amount in the store. Hire someone who knows how to spell customer service! My mother and I went in to see about some repairs on her cuckoo clock that is over a hundred years old. The woman that helped us was extremely rude and scoffed at my mother's questions. She acted like she simply did not want our business. I also asked about some numbers for my missing ones on my 1930's cuckoo clock and she said that I would need to bring it in and it was ridiculous that I was just asking for numbers. I explained that it was a silly request to bring in 80 year old clock for that. I have never encountered such a rude and snotty person. We will definitely be going elsewhere, you should too! read more

What a wonderful business! Whenever I am in the market for a clock I will make a beeline straight to here because the other places in town just aren't worth it. McGuire's has a huge selection of both old and new clocks. The older ones lovingly restored to prime working condition by the owner. The prices are very good and the products are beautiful. The store was clean and dust-free, well organized and easy to view all the time pieces. Not to mention, the staff is so helpful that they will even do a side by side comparison of the clocks you are interested in. I am so glad I have found this great family owned business! My clock was in storage for many years, and recently was unpacked and hung, but notice that something was no right with the clock. It was not accurate and the cuckoo was off. Then the hour hand was wearing loose causing the hour hand hole to enlarge, until finally it wasn't gripping anymore. Couple of months ago, I travel far to bring my German made cuckoo clock to this facility. I called first if they were able to service German made clock and the receptionist said yes. Once I arrive and walked in I was pleased to see, that not only did they sell German Clocks, but they are a authorize Anton Schneider factory service center. Which means to me, they can fix any Regula Clock that is a main stay in cuckoo clocks. I was very please with the service they provided. My only complaint I had was the turn around in servicing it, just need to be patient since they had a back log of repairs to do before they can service mine, which for me was worth the wait. Now, my cuckoo clock is accurate and cuckoos very well, I plan to return there in a couple of yours to give it a service check and cleaning. Great job at that staff of Mcguires. Frank read more

This is truly a dying profession. I have had many clocks repaired by McGuire's and I couldn't be more pleased. Not only did they pick up my grandfather clock for repair, but they repaired the cabinet due to "parrot damage!" They are all wonderful, Mr. & Mrs. McGuire, Jason and staff are so friendly and so helpful. So I went into McGuires yesterday to see about getting a clock repaired that was shipped to my wife from a family member from her Dad's collection after he passed away. The owner quotes me $400 - $450 for the repair. I was in total shock and disbelief of the quote when he was selling a brand new one for $325 in his shop that was an identical match. He said he would have to hand make a specific wire part for the clock because they are so hard to repair. So I took the clock to another shop close by and had all the repairs done for $95. McGuires is a total ripoff. The owners head is high up in the clouds and he is a thief as far as I am concerned. Take your chances if you want. read more

I have been to the store several times and the owner's wife always seems to be angry. The last time I made a purchase, she over charged me and acted like it was my fault. Ray the owner seems to be a decent clock repair person and is a polite person, but his wife (an employee) seems to be unhappy and very disgruntle. Jason learned the trade of clock repair growing up, and he knows his stuff. He was able to tell me where the inherited clock I brought in was likely used and about when it was made. He was most generous with his time, spending nearly an hour going over the non-running grandmother clock I brought in. He got it going again, straightened a crucial piece, replaced a pin on the clock dial, gave me detailed instructions on how to operate and care for it--including moving it out of state, told me what additional work it would need and how much it would cost, and carried it back to the car for me. WITHOUT CHARGING A PENNY. I offered, twice....When I got home, I couldn't find the winding key, so I phoned the store. The woman who answered said Jason had left town and was upset that he had not had my phone number to tell me he had the key. She agreed to put my name on the key for later pick-up. This is a family business of genuine craftspersons and I would trust them with any timepiece whatsoever. read more
