I came from a beach condo with lots of water issues. When you put in claims (even if you're not at fault) insurance Co rate you a bad risk. Vallejo was prompt my first yr, after that it was like pulling teeth to get a response. Mind you I'm paying double for coverage. I even had to call the insurer directly one year. This last yr I did finally hear back that one of their other brokers would contact me. Sure enough just a few days left and I get an email quote. Too late, I had gotten other coverage. It shouldn't have to be that hard!

I had NINETEEN, and they didn't want to accept a W grade, which is still a PAID-for grade. I got that situation fixed, but I had to call and see if went through, because they didn't bother to call me back and let me know. She just happened to "forget to call back." This week I got an email asking to send in my grades and schedules, only to be told I didn't qualify because I didn't keep a 3.0, but a 2.5. When the hell was that going to be mentioned in ALL these phone calls and emails? During my email conversations, I'm told that Guillermo will be finally calling me personally at 12:45pm. I CALLED him, he told me he wasn't supposed to call me until 3pm. With that, I came to the final and long-waited conclusion of me leaving this inadequate, inefficient, unorganized, and careless insurance team later this upcoming month. We started with agent Tom H. in El Cerrito, up to until he closed his agency and retired. After Tom, we thought we would have a hard time finding an agent that will fit our busy & demanding lifestyle. Then Al Chen and his incredible staff came into the picture. The entire staff is proactive and is very responsive. Thank goodness we don't have to file many claims, but when we did; Al & his staff stepped up to the plate and delivered in a timely manner. I have worked personally and mostly with Assistant Office Manager, Maria. Maria is a superstar, and I hope she knows I totally appreciate her. I rarely work with the other staff (Deanna, Jenny, Michele), but when I do; I receive the same excellent service. Al has a very contagious personality. Every time I speak to him, I feel like I am talking to an old friend. When looking for an agent, you can count on Al and his awesome staff. Rest assured that they will meet your needs.
