This week, I had a thought that maybe, just maybe, I would get a motorcycle. I stopped into McKibben PowerSport Honda to see what they had to offer and BOY! Am I glad I stopped there first. The prices are terrific (my Canadian neighbor nearly had a stroke from jealousy when I told him how much I paid!) and there were a few bikes for me to choose from. The Finance Manager (David) showed me what was on the lot. He took lots of time and explained everything from cost, maintenance, pros & cons of certain models...everything. When it came time to buy, it was easy. They handled ALL the paperwork including getting the tag for the bike. I ended up getting a pre-owned bike and because I hadn't ridden in a few years, they delivered the bike to my home. (I was nervous about the mad traffic. Everyone on Spring & Easter break was on the road today) I've since had her on the back roads...you never forget how to ride! For great customer service, stop here. I can't say enough good things about them and their staff and how accommodating they were. Real customer service is rare. They made me feel comfortable and were so helpful. I dropped some hard earned cash there and I know that if I need anything, I can just stop in or call. From start to finish....Quality. I'm very happy with McKibben. read more

1st the seller was negative. The store manager was willing to negotiate and helped us move our old jet-ski to the double trailer. The seller didn't go over the instructions of how to break it in and when it needs services. No information was provided. No booklet, manual or information that tells us how to get what is needed online. They gave us a dirty new Jet-ski with less than 1/4 gas tank. They didn't have the proper tie-down needed to ensure the jet ski falls back. The trailer tires only had 20 pounds when it needed to have 50 pounds. This creates a risk of us having a flat tire. Luckily we had a great experience when we purchased our 1sr jetski in Clearwater Cycle Springs and we know what is needed to keep the jet ski in good working condition. The reason we decided to go here is that it was closer to our house. They would not see our faces when it is time for maintance. I am giving a 2 because of the store manager. I wanted to purchase 2 motorcycles CASH out the door but I guess they just didn't want my money. I was willing to take the long drive just to purchase the 2 motorcycles today. This place is a joke. They have no integrity no respect they dont stand to there products nor does anyone know anything goin on there. I bought a brand new pioneer1000-5 big build was told it's wat I wanted for my riding type. I got super atv 6" lift rhino 2.0 axles and nasty 33's and no type of gear reduction or portals. My bike is worthless off road and it's constantly tearing up. I haven't had it 8 months it's been in there shop for about 4 of them on my dollar cause they won't stand by there product. read more

I bought a generator on Friday morning and was told I could pick it up "first thing" Saturday morning. I went in at 9:10 am and had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes. They had not even started to service it when I arrived. Kept saying almost done 4 times. Very disappointed. Also took 1 hour and 20 minutes to do paper work when I purchased it on Friday. Took my jetski in for repair awhile back. Found out that Honda stopped making this jetski. Mckibben stated they would work on it. The work done on it was below average whereas they left me with a oil leak which was done when they did the repairs i paid for. I recently called for a repair and they basically brushed me off stating they wont work on it again. Was dissatisfied with their service and with their customer satisfaction. Stay away from Honda products as they literally will not help you if you ever have a problem. read more

Bought a scooter from them and I am out of state. I specifically asked Javier, sales person, if there was any fairing damage to the scooter and he said no. I looked at photos listed and saw a scratch or two but that is normal for a 4 year old used model. Imagine my surprise when the left fairing had a decent crack in it. The shipper had documented the damage prior to pickup so they would not be blamed for it. I texted Javier over the course of a week to see how they would fix the problem. I finally called the sales Mgr., Melanie, at the Winter Haven location. She supposedly spoke with the owner and they decided not to do anything at all. I was expecting either a new fairing panel or some monetary refund to cover the panel. Nope. This is my 3rd out of state cycle purchase and I never had an issue with the other two. One was from IMotor Sports also in FL and I would recommend them. As if that wasn't bad enough, I purchased the scooter a month ago (bank check 0 finance) and still do not have the title. They messed that up too but supposedly Tiffany in finance fixed that. Their customer service is non-existent and I would not recommend doing business with McKibben Honda (at least heir Winter Haven location). They suck. read more

Absolutely would not would not recommend them left my unit there for two weeks every time I called they gave me some wack story that tech said it was this or that then I asked to speak to manager she had a very very bad attitude said she was waiting on honda to respond over the computer and then the next day it was ready and fixed ... they said everything was fine it needed thermostat and fuse I get it home and within one hour it was running hot again ! So do yourself a favor don't take there waste of money and time !!!! read more

We had a customer come in for service yesterday 12/11/20. Upon completing his service, we observed that his front and rear tires were Metzlers with both having a born-on date of 2018. Honda's part diagram shows Dunlops are the O.E.M. tire. This customer purchased his 2020 Honda Fury from McKibben Powersports. He called McKibben Powersports and spoke to Melenie Adam (Sales Manager). Per our customers description she offered no clear explanation why the tires were so old and mentioned that she will call Honda to share his concerns. Our customer was upset and not happy with her handling of the issue. Our customer went as far as stating he will just return the Fury based on the poor service he received. Our customer was really upset about the exchange. I Bryan M. tried to offer a little support from our end and attempted to contact another manager from the Lake Wales location named Adam Pearce. I spoke to the receptionist. I asked to speak to Adam and let her know it was urgent. She put me on hold and let me know that he was on lunch break. I reviewed that I had one of their customers in my shop that wants to return his recently purchased 2020 Honda Fury and I am trying to connect him to a different manager that may offer him a better experience which would allow their new customer to retain his purchase and regain confidence with the dealership. He never called back... I am the General manager for The Motorcycle Clinic (celebrating over 47 years). I am rounding off my decade with this wonderful company and sadly see many cases with bad customer service. I live in Daytona FL which is about 2 hours away from McKibben. I was in the market for a specific generator and needed it quick. I contacted my local dealer RC Hill Honda and worked out a deal for a generator. When I arrived the next morning to pick the generator up magically it sold the night before. But they had one on order for me and it would be delivered in 3 days. Well that day came and no generator so I called and they gave me the run around. Come to find out the generator would not be there for 2 weeks. I will never buy anything from RC Hill. So I contacted other dealerships and I was lucky enough to talk to David Sanchez on the phone from McKibben. He was more then helpful and promised me that if I drove 2 hours to get a generator it would be there. I arrived the next morning when they opened and low and behold the generator was waiting for me. They went the extra mile and set it up for me and walked me thru everything I needed to know about the generator. I can promise you this if I ever need something from Honda I will only be buying from McKibben and David Sanchez. Thank you guys for saving my butt and getting me out of a jam. Still refuses to pay me for the repairs to his defective motorcycle. Not a single employee has contacted me to make amends or offer any sort of compensation. What a damn shame. I guess someone has to get screwed, but I wish Casey gave a damn about my family. We drove a thousand miles to buy a bike. They lied and lied and lied through the entire process. I would have bought two more bikes and a boat, but Casey would rather deny my a hundred bucks compensation. I just don't know how such a crook stays in business. read more

I should have believed the reviews!!! I bought a 2019 Honda pioneer 1 year ago. Was quoted a price for the first service, when service was completed they charged me 3X the price quoted. (Not nice "papa charles"... ) very let down by this place. These are $20k toys. Treat your clients accordingly. I blame the owners for not training their personnel properly. Speaking to the manager was like talking to Angelica from the "rug rats". I hope you learn to speak to people. Treat people right Melanie + papa charles, God will pay you back. Strange experience for a dealership in my opinion. I spent three visits trying to narrow down and make my purchase.I was to the point of hoping to get a couple sales drafts to have the cashiers check wrote up by my credit union but I ended up putting the brakes on all of that after my last disappointing visit. I definitely have to agree with how the staff at times really doesn't seem motivated to sell, and they really don't seem to be very interested in the products that they are selling either. The sales reps may definitely benefit with some exposure to the products themselves that they are selling- including riding or experiencing the equipment first hand. I feel that may help out with building their product knowledge in turn possibly offering Valuable insight for the first time customer and to up sell cool options. I too am in the market, and currently shopping, for two ATV's but Mckibben has made it a frustrating event. Today's visit suddenly became my deciding factor In regards as to Where I will be making my upcoming purchases. ( the salesperson I was working with was unfortunately off today. It was as if nobody else really wanted to step up to properly assist with some follow up questions of the product. I did receive half of an answer to one question and then a walk away.) I won't be letting this keep me from purchasing the Honda ATV's that I want, as I know I do have other non affiliated options within the state but my local Winter Haven McKibben Powersport overall proved to be a big disappointment. I wish the owner(s) good luck obtaining and holding a satisfied customer base with the current operating procedures, as it seems after reading some other reviews, proper customer service maybe only being offered when it is convenient? Easily the best customer service you will experience not just at a motorcycle dealership but anywhere. I purchased my Honda from these guys in December 2016 and they have been nothing but stellar ever since. The team here is top notch and will go above and beyond for you. The owner Casey is probably the most hands on owner you will ever see and he has been helpful in regards to any questions I have had regarding my bike. The parts department truly love what they do and it is also great to pick their brains. They answer any questions you have and make sure you are taken care of. Even just hanging out the dealership while you are waiting for your service to be done is a treat. Just an all around friendly environment and they are happy to have you there. I tried to purchase a side-by-side but it seemed as I was working for McKibben Powersport's. I applied for financing which I was approved. I was contacted but was on the phone with my work and let it go to voicemail. 2 minutes later I was contacted again and I was still on the phone with my work. They did leave a message and I called back as soon as I could that day. I got Brain from the sales team and was told everything was approved and that I would need to put a down payment of $1,250 which was fine. I asked for the finance manager to call me back because I wanted to know the monthly payments and the interest rate. BRian kept saying how I really needed to get the down payment applied so they can hold the unit along with transferring the unit to their location. I told them they don't need to transfer it and I will just go where ever the unit is and pick it up myself. I was given the excuse that this would cause a lot of trouble because they would need to redo the paper work. I really think that is some BS and they just want to charge a $399 transfer fee. Again I asked for finance to call me back. I waited 3 hours and no call so I called and left a message. 7pm I was thinking they were closed and surprised I got a person so I asked for Chico and still he was too busy. I left a message again. I called today at 10am (they open at 9am) and finally got Chico. I tried asking Chico about the monthly payments and interest rate for the loan. I was given only the interest rate and my down payment which doubled form $1,250 to $2,500. I was given some BS again about fees and the back required the down payment of $2,500. Said they only looked at one screen and not the other. Does that make any since to anybody? Just be aware that they will not call you back and the total attitude they do not care about customers from what I've been through so far. FALSE ADVERTISING!! Apparently if you're not in sales your an idiot, or at least that's what the staff seems to convey. Went in to buy a "2018" Honda Bf2.3 for $699 as advertised in their own website and after waiting for about 30 minutes to have a sales receipt prepared, along with the "warranty" info, the cashier gives me a sales receipt for a "2017" Honda bf2.3 for $799!!! Plus taxes and "preparation" fee for a total of $900 plus. I showed "the guy" their own website and he looked at me like I was an alien and didn't know what I was talking about. Like I can't read a website or I'm an uneducated consumer. Sale was cancelled, they lost a customer, and will voice my "story" to ALL of my enthusiast peers, who do not hesitate to spend top dollar on quality products for the benefit of reliability and performance. On to the next nearest marine supply shop. This joint may not be ran out of business, but I will be certain to curb plenty of it away from them. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME...First, 2 salespeople responded to my inquiry, one via text the other via email. I didn't know they weren't the same person. After a day, the one corresponding via email sent me a nasty email asking why I didn't tell him I was talking to someone else. I emailed the manager about this email and he was let go and the other salesperson took over. She was the only bright spot in this fiasco. Took the whole day off to take my trade in up and pick up my new side by side. They assured me they would honor a verbal offer they gave me over the phone for my trade. When I arrived, they gave me a lower offer and when I offered to split the difference ($600) and they said no. I wasted 3 hours driving each way not to mention the cost of the fuel for nothing. Buyer beware! I used my credit card to place a refundable deposit down on a machine. The salesperson confirmed multiple times that the deposit was 100% refundable and would only last 7 days. I found out two days later (on Monday) that my financing was going to take a couple of days longer than the allotted time. I called my sales rep to check on available options. I was told that my only option was to finance through them with Honda finance with a rate between 8.5%-13.5%. When I inquired about Honda's advertised rate of 5.9%, my sales rep explained that my credit score would need to be 850 or higher to qualify (absolute lie). Against my better judgement, I had her proceed with the credit application anyway. 3 days later I had not received the promised loan documents or a returned phone call. Running out of options, I decided to contact another dealer (Treasure Coast Honda Kawasaki). They offered me a much better price and the best financing rate Honda had to offer in minutes. After completing the purchase that day, I contacted McKibben Powersports to request a refund on my deposit. Aisha Gonzalez (my sales rep / product specialist) lied and said that deposits were non-refundable, and they tried to reach me. I spoke with David Sanchez who I was told was the store manager (turns out he is the Sales Team Lead according to the website) lied to me and said that they tried calling multiple times but couldn't leave a message because my voicemail was full (it was less than 1% full) and that deposits could never be refunded due to the high demand of these machines (Honda Talon 1000R). He went on to say that he was in the process of terminating Aisha's employment over this but still would not refund the deposit. Apparently, they terminate employees for missing a sale (I'm guessing that David Sanchez said that to justify their unethical conduct by not performing the refund). I provided a final opportunity to David to make this right before submitting this review to various websites and Honda. He explained that he did not care and was not affiliated with Honda in any way (other than obviously selling their product). I hope that manufacturers of outstanding products like Honda will not tolerate this kind of behavior from their dealers causing consumers to shy away from purchasing their vehicles. This was the absolute worst experience that I have ever had with a dealer! I will never recommend or do business with them ever again. Thankfully, there are honest dealers like Treasure Coast Honda Kawasaki that are happy to provide outstanding service, pricing, and financing. read more

Very underhanded sales practices! Went there today to purchase a side by side and received an OTD quote (in writing) which we accepted. We made arrangements for delivery and gave our info for the title work. After waiting the salesmanager came back out and said"we can't sell it for that price after all". Do not go there if you want majorly ripped off, totally incompetent service department. Once you buy, they do not stand behind any product they sell or the customer. They are very deceptive when selling, not coming forth and being honest, when the motorcycle, a 2012 Can Am RT-S red, clearly had major mechanical issues and unsafe for the road. Told me it was in perfect condition. Cost me over $500 in diagnostics and a payment for a motorcycle I bought it in June 2019 and only had it for 3 days to ride, other then that it was in the shop.Told me to read my manual. Pretty bad when you have to pull the shifter up with your hand. Would have been over $2500 in repairs right out the door.The clutch was tampered with and had missing parts and a bad fuel purge valve. The only thing they fixed was a coolant reservoir that had a crack in it. Not safe for the road at all. And it was reported as such. They all knew there was something wrong with it. Hurry you through all the paperwork,make sure you read before signing, put you on a battery plan and tell you it's free, it's not. They forget to tell you it's $200 and your paying for it. Fee after fee. In the short of it I got my motorcycle back that I traded in, with help. Try standing by what you sell and your customers, by not ripping them off. read more

I purchased a 3000 EU in 2005, right after the hurricanes. I have had McKibben service it several times. The engine has about 200 total hours on it. I recently took it back in thinking the carb needed a bit of work. When they did the diagnostics work I was told there was very little compression and if I wanted it fixed it would be around $1300. They ran a camera in to look at the piston and they were damaged. The reason I bought a Honda was because of the longevity and reliability. The cost of diagnostic service was $98. The service dept said they would take if off my hands for the cost of what they had done. I told them no thanks and I would keep it before I let it go for $98. After I told them I would keep it they reduced the bill to about $45. On the way home something just didn't seem right. A 200 hr Honda gen is just does not generally go bad that soon. They should get 2500 to 3000 hours according to Honda. So I took it to another reputable dealer here in town told them what I was told by McKibben and ask for a second opinion. They called me back within 2 hours and told me the spark plug had no gap, (wonder how that happened) and said it was running like a top, smooth as silk and steady as a sniper and no compression problems at all. It makes me wonder why they were so anxious to take my barely used Honda off my hands for $98. I would not recommend McKibben to anyone and I will never buy another product for McKibben of Winter Haven ALWAYS GET ANOTHER read more

Mckibben Powersport Honda is full of scammers. I called Kate in parts on Monday August 14 and asked if they had a rear tire for my motorcycle. She said yes and gave me the price. I made sure to ask again if it was the rear tire because I had read that the rear and front are different. She again said yes. I also told her that I'm not to knowledgeable when it comes to parts so everything I know is from what I read. She and I laughed and she assured me it was a rear. I get there, pay $100 for the tire and tube. Like I told her previously I wasn't sure what either looked like so I trusted it was a rear and left to have my fiancé, a mechanic, put it on. He calls me and tells me it's a front tire. So, he called them back and told them the issues and asked to exchange it for a rear tire since that is what I was assured I would get and didn't get. He was then greeted by a man, who refused to give us his name. The man then proceeded to tell us that we could use the front tire in place of the rear tire and how safe it is and what speed and distance we can go up to before it becomes dangerous. We told them that they made the mistake, we aren't asking for a refund, just for them to fix their mistakes. The guy then proceeded to tell us that he won't do anything so we said that we would come in the next day and talk to the manager or owner. He then said "no one will do anything for you" so we asked to speak to the owner and were told he wasn't there. So we called back today and asked to speak to the owner again. Now, we are being told we already spoke to the owner and he's the one who won't do anything. We weren't asking for much, just for them to fix their mistake and they were rude and unprofessional. They sold me a tire knowing I didn't know what it was supposed to look like and knowing I would walkout with it.
