What really set the experience apart, though, was the service. My wife and I were taken care of by Alfredo, and he was phenomenal. There was a slight language barrier between him and me, but they handled it gracefully, never rushed, always attentive, and they made sure communication was smooth by assisting with translation as needed. You could tell he took pride in what he does and wanted to get it right. The shaping, fit, and attention to detail here were outstanding. You're not just buying a hat; you're getting craftsmanship done right in front of you. Watching them steam, shape, and customize is its own experience. He looked at it and told me he could do the job but would have to basically rebuild the hat. His wife enlarged the custom hat band and had to remove the sweat band inside and replace and hand sew the new one after stretching the hat. She cleaned the hat and then tried to charge me too little. We argued but I finally talked Eddie into taking more money...what I thought was fair. The hat was white and it arrived with a stain on the top and the white was as if it had been sprayed painted and I couldn't touch it without the white getting all over everything. Some transfer has been known to happen but this way crazy. The day it was received I sent a picture clearly showing the larger stained in the tip where the hat was discolored. Almost like a clear oil stain. Their response was literally well there is nothing we can do. Not hey we are sorry we can help get you a replacement. Not hey don't worry you can return the hat for zero shipping and we can t get a new hat ordered. Nope. For the price you can literally buy a hat if this quality online for 1/4 or less of price. Given their attitude, lack of service and poor price to quality I ended up just buying a hat with a competitor and I couldn't be happier.
