I have boarded here for almost 3 years and there is a reason I have stayed! Boarders are friendly and drama free. Workers are very nice and hardworking. When I got my horse Gus he did not have the best nutrition at his former home but since he has been at MHP with their abundance of forage, hay, and his daily grain he looks/feels the best he has ever been. There is an indoor arena that's perfect to have on those days where it might be raining, too hot, or too cold as well as being the front pasture to enjoy riding around on those nice sunny days! Now they are adding 2 outdoor arenas which adds onto the perfection that is Mckinney Horseplex! No matter the riding style everyone is always welcoming at the facility. Mckinney Horseplex is run like clockwork; Cheryl is on-site and you can text her anytime with updates or changes to your horses care and follow-through is guaranteed. The boarders are the nicest people I know and my horse is always on the mind of the other owners even when I cannot check in as often as I would like to when I am out of town. I never worry that my horse is well taken care of at this facility. There are social get together s, and a Facebook page for instant communications and there is now a brand new outdoor dressage arena for us! The trainers cannot be matched, my dressage trainer Allison is AWESOME! The price is reasonable for all the love and care my horse receives. I highly recommend this facility!! read more

McKinney Horseplex is the first barn I went to after moving to TX from NY. I have been there for 3 years and will never go anywhere else. The boarders there are warm and friendly, The care is Top notch! Seeing the majority of the horses living in a herd situation is surreal in this day and age! There is a calm to the horses that you don't get to see in Boarding facilities that have multiple small paddocks and the horses loose very needed socialization. They offer smaller private paddocks for horses that don't work in the herds...best of both worlds! McKinney HorsePlex, Cheryl (owner, Dale (barn manager) and all the staff are awesome! The first priority is always care for the horses. Horses get to spend a lot of time outdoors in herd situations or private paddocks, depending on their needs. Stalls are large and well maintained with grain and hay fed twice daily. Round bales are in all pastures so hay is free choice outdoors. Everyone is friendly and accepting of all disciplines. Great instructors offer lessons in the indoor arena. New outdoor arenas are in the process of being built and will be a great addition to the already nice facility. A top notch boarding and lesson barn! read more

We are super pleased with this facility. It is hands down the best place where my daughters have taken lessons. The facilities are top notch and the stalls are clean. The indoor arena is super helpful in that we can can schedule sessions day or night or in inclement weather. Both the staff and boarders have been very friendly and kudos to Dale the trainer - she works well with both my daughters who have are both very different in temperament and ability - but both enjoy working with her. read more

I have not been here long, but must I say I am IMPRESSED so far. Compared to some of the other places my horse has stayed, this one beats them all! Very nice and caring staff. And loving the hot/cold wash bays! And there is even more than one! lots of room and space and many options to ride and train! And very well priced for the services they offer! McKinney HorsePlex is fabulous! It's open, spacious, with tons and tons of room!! The pastures are plenty spacious, the stalls and facilities are clean and very well maintained. Management is awesome!! They're helpful, polite, accomadating, encouraging, and fantastic with communication. And they're on top of anything that need to be fixed or taken care of. Words cannot explain how much this place means to me and my horse! I pasture board my OTTB and it has been amazing. Since my horse came off the trailer and set hoof into Mckinney horse plex, he and I have been treated just like family. Everyone is friendly and gets along. All the horses and happy and healthy and miss cheyrl and the MHP team is extremely accommodating and understanding. read more

I came from out of state and it is really hard to pick a spot for your show horse from off the Internet...but I got lucky...so happy with my choice! I do pay extra for a larger stall and private turnout, but I was able to pick from my options. read more
