There are 7 horses total right now and some mini cows and they all get along. More importantly, the other borders are great people and we all respect each other because we all look out for each other's horses and communicate at the first sign of any issue. I am posting this review under my own name, unlike the one disgruntled previous border that was asked to leave. You could not find a better horse family than here. The owners live on site, which is an added bonus for knowing there are always eyes on the horses.

The covered arena makes a huge difference for me as a young mother with a full time job, not being rained out and having options to longe and turnout in the covered round pen or covered arena on a rainy day makes a huge difference. I love the trainer Kori and her program. It's rare to find a barn these days that still does half leases and has a booming lesson program. Such a wonderful barn family and environment.

I've been taking lessons here for about a year and a half. Before that, my only riding experience…read morewas a few weeks of lessons when I was a little boy, and the occasional trail ride every few years. I'm now regularly taking part in playdays (amateur barrel racing and pole bending) and even won a buckle last season! I'm also in better physical shape than when I started, having put on a few pounds of muscle in my legs and core -- which is quite the feat in middle-age. Dwaine has been around horses all his life, and it shows. He's incredibly patient and encouraging with his students and knows when they need to be pushed to improve. More than a few of his students have gone to become professionals, competing in rodeos. They learn not just the basics of how to ride, but also grooming, saddling and overall horsemanship. There's probably no better testimony, though, than the community of kids and parents that have formed around the stables, with plenty of friendships formed that extend past lesson time.

Twice I inquired about consigning a horse with these people, once through their "contact us" page…read moreon their website, the other through private message on their facebook page. Never got any response. To me that is no way to do business. If they did not think my horse was good enough or expensive enough, they could still respond saying, thanks but no thanks. Anything is better than no response whatsoever. The horse I was selling was a well-bred registered mare.
