More importantly, the other borders are great people and we all respect each other because we all look out for each other's horses and communicate at the first sign of any issue. The owners live on site, which is an added bonus for knowing there are always eyes on the horses.

Be. Retired. In 5-10 lessons 6 days a week. If a horse goes lame, the throw it in the pasture and forget about it. Even just driving by, the horses in the pasture have overgrown hooves, sunken in spines, and halters on that have been there for years. The training wasn't bad but it's definitely a beginner barn as most riders start to realize that the way they overwork their horses is unethical.

That alone speaks volumes about Jodi and Kyle of Sunflower Stables. They are the picture of what you want your barn owners and managers to be like. My three horses have been here for a year and a half and have absolutely thrived. My mare, in particular, has shown a softer side and has really opened up to other horses. Their weight is perfect, the stalls are always immaculate, and we experience almost no flies, which is a testament to their diligent care. I receive updates many times a week, which gives me incredible peace of mind. Jodi and Kyle have truly made my visits about just being with my horses, rather than worrying about what needs to be done. I genuinely feel we are getting more than we pay for here, and having boarded all over the metroplex, I can confidently say this is rare. It's clear you're working with two people who genuinely love horses, and it truly shows in every aspect of their operation.
