This auction house sold us a fake knockoff purse and a few other junk items. When I asked the owner if we could return the purse (which I paid well over its worth) he stated "it wasn't his problem." I come to the auctions regularly to see what is there and it's something fun to do with my husband. In the beginning the experience was fun but now it has not been lately. The auctioneer, Patrick, I feel makes unprofessional comments during the auction from not having enough money to pay employees, to not wanting to auction things off because it is a waste of his time and skipping items. There is a young gentleman there and I think his name is Talin. Every time we have been there he has been exceptional in helping us and we always enjoy talking to him. He is very helpful and a hard worker. We now enjoy coming to the auction to see talin. My husband and I will stop coming if talin is not there. We don't want to deal with anyone else. read more

I do not know how McManus runs their auctions, however there results are disappointing at the least. (I am being gracious) Whomever is doing there identification and sorting has a very limited knowledge of what items are, thus does not know if an item should be bundled or sold as an individual item. ie: a vintage pill box is not a trinket. This is only one item....there is not enouph room here for all examples. Many items sell for less than a dealers value which makes me think their primary bidders ARE dealers. Many items would fetch a better price at a pawn shop. I would advise to use McManus Auction with a great deal of caution. They know if you are on line or at the auction house watching your items being bid on. Be online or at the auction when your items are being sold. Just sayin. read more

I just started shopping here a month or two ago and have spent a lot of money. My last order alone was over 600.00. All of the employees I've dealt with have been great. I purchased an expensive desk, a game table, and many other items. Two of the items appeared to have minor but fresh damage. When I tried to tell someone (it happened to be the owner) I was met with complete disrespect, dismissal, interrupting and told he didn't need me as a customer. He actually shut the door while I was still talking. They definitely have interesting stuff to buy but don't complain because you'll be treated terribly by an owner who must be doing so well he doesn't need your business. read more

This place is dirty in every form of the word. they sell old USED sex furniture that you can see fluid marks in. It was not cleaned off in any way or shape . It had nast spots and say dried something on it in a few spots. . I spoke with a young kids say his mid 20s about 2 foot tall and he told me it is sold as is they are not responsible . When I spoke with the owner Mr McManus about selling an item with them I got 100 and 10 promices not ONE was kept on there end. So I went in to see how this place actually ran I found the used sex furniture thing and I now know why people say what they do about this place read more

Patrick McManus, you know you are not being truthful. I most certainly did not come in there angered and hostile. I was upset, and you're the one that called me over. I was just going to pick up my items and leave, then talk to my attorney friend later. He told me he did not see anything in YOUR terms about passing, and I was reading through the terms when you called me to the counter. I simply told you I'm extremely upset and called an attorney. I did not intend for that to be a threat, being I have every right in this world to ask advice from an attorney. YOU ARE THE ONE WHO WAS BEING EXTREMELY HOSTILE!! You also lie about your reserves. As I told you before, I was LISTENING and WATCHING the LIVE auction, and you said yourself VERBALLY there is no reserve. You did not get what you wanted, so you passed, and that is why I called. The lady told me she doesn't know why you didn't sell, and I said I know it's because he wanted more money, and she said "WE DON'T DO THAT HERE". Yes I hung up, and was gonna let it go, until you continued passing lots. I could HEAR the frustration in your voice, and you skipped over the ruby ring. It was at $750, and you said "we need at least $1000, I'm not doing this, PASS". Then you got me on another ring I had the bid on, so I decided to go pick up my stuff, and ask in person. I asked you " why don't you have a reserve??" You wouldn't even give me an answer, you just yelled at me. I asked "where in the terms does it say to pass?", again you yelled at me. I told you I wanted the stuff I paid for, then I was going to leave, but YOU YELLED AT ME AGAIN! You would not give me what I paid for, but told me you would refund me. I asked for proof of refund, and you took my receipt, so I asked if I could please keep that. What did you do?? YOU YELLED AT ME AGAIN, AND THREW THE PAPER AT ME! All you know how to do is YELL! There were 3 employees behind that cage with you, and they saw and heard it all. Now I have another question for you. Have you watched the ad on your website lately? It's your fox 5 commercial that flashes across the screen NO MINIMUMS...NO RESERVES. Maybe you should take another look at it. I also never tried to run anyone over in your parking lot. My husband and I went to our first McManus Auction last night. We had a fabulous time! We didn't win the 2 AR's but we were treated like royalty and won lots of beautiful and interesting items, plus lots of things for my husband's shop. We met Mr. McManus and he is very pleasant and accommodating. We were even served free pizza and popcorn and the staff had set out ice cold drinks and donuts! Bidding was fast, fair and very interesting. There were a great deal of new and older guns and hard to locate ammo in this auction. Also plenty of jewelry, housewares and collectibles. Front counter staff was pleasant and the floor helpers were incredibly kind. Payment transaction was easy and we are still talking about our finds! The auctioneers were knowledgeable with a great sense of humor and fast but not too fast. We got to bid and win on things we didn't know we even wanted until we saw them live! We are very glad we stayed until the end, great prices and many treasures! Thank you for all of your hard work!Save us a couple seats! We will be back real soon! My husband and I went to pick up my brothers items he purchased from the sale on Monday. I was waiting in the truck for my husband to come out, when I heard a lady telling the owner "This is not yours" as she tried getting into her vehicle. The owner grabbed the ladies arm and jerked her and papers flew all over. The lady tried to pick it up and he pushed her aside and grabbed at the papers. As she got in her vehicle he was yelling and trying to open her door. It was like a horror movie happening right in front of me. He than noticed me watching and he scurried in the building. Thankfully my husband was there. I don't know what the situation was, I just know that man had the devil in his eyes and no man should EVER grab at or treat a lady like he did. I was just issued a bad check from McManus auctions!! Do NOT do business with them, they sold my merchandise and then mailed me a checked that bounced. When I spoke to them they said they had a "glitch" with their account. When I asked multiple times whenI could expect a replacement check they said they have no idea, called me rude for continuing to ask and the owner hung up on me!!! read more

Selling your families belongings can be exhausting and make you feel very vulnerable. This company and Patrick , the owner personally took many steps to make this such a better process for me. You can get taken advantage of terribly if you are not dealing with good, honest people who care about getting you the most for your stuff. I really want to like this place. And I do truly like the auctioneer and most of his staff. But the lady that works the front desk and takes the phone calls is repeatedly rude beyond belief. For the third time I was shocked at the poor customer service. Even when they accidentally held $100 of mine she was rude then. I came in after work to the last hour of the auction ones. And was greeted by being berated for showing up late. Please your company deserves better than that and so do your customers. The person at the front desk is the face of your company. She is the first and last impression that your company makes. All the other good work you do at the auction is destroyed because you come in being treated rude and you leave being treated worse. Because of this one person I will never attend this auction house again. And I would recommend that anyone reading this go to the other auctions in Vegas instead of putting up with repeated unacceptable behavior by the receptionist at this company read more
