Amazing experience at McMillan Inn. It was our first time to Savannah and celebrated our one year anniversary, they had a beautiful basket with champagne, fresh local cheese and chocolates in the room for us. Check in was easy, the room and house in general was absolutely gorgeous and felt as if you traveled back in time. The bed was extremely comfortable. In the morning they served us breakfast in the great room that was an experience in itself, everyone was super friendly and they had plenty of drinks available and even had homemade blueberry lemon cookies for us. I cannot say enough about the owners & staff! We had to move rooms because we booked last minute. Both of the rooms , one was the guest house are finished very nice. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was very elegantly furnished in Victorian style, bed was very comfortable! Working gas fireplace a bonus! We had a private entrance with sitting area. Hubby and I enjoyed a relaxing getaway to Savannah at this beautiful B & B. We stayed in the Oglethorpe Room which was larger than a normal hotel room. It had a private patio on the street level where enjoyed our morning coffee (in room Keurig machine). We enjoyed both breakfast and chatting with our fellow travelers at the communal tables. The only breakfast seating when we were there at the end of October was at 9:15 which was a little late for us since we're early risers but probably ok for most vacationers. read more

The dining areas for the bed and breakfast are ornately decorated, not to mention the breakfast is intricately unique, each serving is spectacular. I'm currently sitting in the courtyard by the pool, celebrating my second anniversary with a lucky fellow whom I started dating two years ago. We've throughly enjoyed our three night stay. Just arrived for our 30th anniversary trip and we were met with a bottle of champagne, rose petals on the bed and chocolate kisses under our wine glasses. What a nice surprise! We are staying I. The carriage house which was super clean and takes you back in time. We have a jetted tub in our bedroom plus a seated bar area, fireplace and a full kitchen. Outside is a patio with a small pool. It seems quiet and the perfect place to get away in Savannah. We are a few blocks from the river, a block from a beautiful square and a block to Kroger's. So lovely! Melissa and David are so kind and they are even making a special gluten free breakfast fo me including gluten free pancakes! I feel at home already! Wish I could give more than 5 stars! So happy we found this B&B. Celebrated our 5 year anniversary and it could not have been more perfect. We chose the Calhoun Spuare, which was an immaculate room and pefect for any couple. Right next to the heated pool and very easy to come and go without disturbing other guests. The jacuzzi tub and heated floors in oir room were a fav for the wife. I enjoyed the Very cold A/C and unlimited hot water in the spacious shower! Coffee, breakfast and all hours of available snacks and PEACH TEA were fantastic. Our host graced us with some late requested chocolate covered strawberries without hesitation, they were in our room by the time we got back from our haunted investigation at the Savannah Theater across from Chippewa Square. We Came to Savannah to learn more and enjoy the history of it. The McMillan Inn is absolutely a piece of that and you can feel it as soon as you walk up the entry steps. All the furniture and decor takes you back in time while still feeling clean and new. Great location within walking distance of so much. The staff and host were 110% the whole time and I wish we would have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!!! read more

If I could give this Inn more than 5 stars, I would. What an amazing, magical place. What sets this inn apart is the people. They always greet you with a smile, some history of Savannah or assistance with any travel plans. They recommend the trolly tour and once we decided, they set up everything for us! A shuttle met us at the front door, they gave us our tickets, a map & once the tour was over a shuttle brought us right back. Breakfast is AMAZING! Delicious home cooked meals, with fruit, yogurt, tea, coffee & always a delicious desert after. If you are in Savannah, staying here is a MUST! we will absolutely be back. Can't say enough about my stay at McMillan Inn. The rooms are breathtakingly well appointed. It's like a trip back in time. The service was great. Breakfast was comparable to fine dining in a Cordon Blue restaurant. Ms. Ann and Ms. Monica made all the guests feel right at home. Even prepped breakfast for my niece who had some dietary restrictions as if it was no trouble at all. Wish I had more time to stay. I'd love to return again very soon. read more

If needed the city has a car service that is free all you have to do is download the app. If you need anything or have questions they will take care of you here at the Inn. This is truly a beautiful old Inn but our bed also seemed to be from the 1800's; way to soft and caving in the center. We all couldn't get the split system to change temperatures (maybe the batteries?) I think I'd go there again if I could stay in a quiet room off the main building. read more

My husband and I stayed at the McMillan Inn for a week to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We couldn't have chosen a better place. McMillan Inn is Victorian charming. The hosts are wonderful, helpful and make the best breakfasts (including accommodating special dietary restrictions). We stayed the end of November/beginning of December, so they had decorated inside and out for Christmas. It was stunning. We are older (60s and 70s) so have some mobility issues. We stayed in the Lafayette Room, which was very comfortable and cozy. It is also accessible without needing to climb any stairs and has a walk-in shower, so it was perfect for us. Breakfast is served on the second floor, but they offered to have it brought down to us. But we found that the effort to get up the flight of stairs for breakfast was well worth it. It was great to meet the other guests and compare notes of our Savannah activities and places for dinner. The Inn is located on the south side of the historic district in a lovely quiet neighborhood. We did not rent a car while we were in Savannah, but the Inn is within 2-3 blocks of a DOT stop (free daytime bus service) and is serviced by Downtowner (free evening ride service), so getting around was easy. Ubers are also plentiful and usually only a couple of minutes away. read more

So we checked in to this gorgeous Bed and Breakfast. Upon opening the door to our room we were pleasantly surprised. It's absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately we had a hiccup with our room, but because we got in late it couldn't be addressed. First thing in the morning the owners hunted me down to find out what was going on and wanted to inspect the room. Needless to say they were so sweet, attentive and apologetic. They went above and beyond to rectify the issue. But they didn't stop there as they were also generous enough to send us on a tour and took care of our dinner. This is customer service at its finest. No excuses..,just saw the problem and fixed it ten times over and we were extremely grateful for that. We will definitely be back again!!! If I were to give one negative thought, it would be no heater on the outside pool but I'm still giving them 7 stars!!! read more

While visiting Georgia for my birthday, I couldn't pass up a chance to visit Savannah. I found this adorable bed and breakfast and I'm so glad that I did. Its only a few blocks away from Forsyth Park, and in a walkable neighborhood. From the moment we checked in to check out, this was a great experience. Cat walked us thru the property and showed us our room, the Pulanski room. Cat provided a list of restaurants that could accommodate my gluten free diet, and provided some other recommendations for our stay. The room is nicely appointed to make you feel like you've stepped back in time without sacrificing comfort. The king bed was delightful. Breakfast is served at 9:15am each morning. They accommodate dietary needs, such as my gluten free needs. Every breakfast starts with a fresh fruit plate. With yogurt and granola if you'd like. And then the main entrée varies from day to day. The first morning it was fried chicken and stuffed French toast with fancy grits and omlete. For the gluten free option, I had grilled chicken, an omlete, gluten free French toast with syrup. I normally do not like eggs, but I tried the omlete and ended up eating every single bite, it was that good. Oh!!! And peach sweet tea is available all day in the fridge. Do yourself a favor and try it. You will not be disappointed. They even made me gluten free cookies for the evening time. And had an assortment of gluten full sweets for others. read more

We loved this home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The elevator for our luggage was a pleasant surprise! The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable with the softest sheets and the spotless bathroom with it's shuttered windows, built in bench seat, and clawfoot tub was stunning, very functional, and their bath towels were the largest and fluffiest I've ever had in a B&B. The breakfast was delicious. The egg soufflé casserole was one of the best we have ever had and I loved the porcelain tea cups. One evening we sat in the parlor, played cards and drank wine. This Inn is a wonderful inn, but I think any inn (not only this one) that charges $25 when you cancel in advance is super unfair/uncool. So, read the fine print and know what you are dealing with. Even the top hotels/bnbs in Los Angeles and New York don't pull this shitake. Otherwise, it is a great place with nice owners personality wise. read more

I cannot describe this inn as "quaint" because it's a large place but they do a great job of making it feel small and intimate. The house is made up of two sides separated by a wall. Guest have access to both sides of the house and they can be accessed from the front and back porches. They have really kept true to the historic style of the home in the decor and furnishings. Really felt like a trip back in time staying here. We loved it. The bed was very comfortable and felt luxurious sleeping on the big four post bed. Sheets were soft and everything was meticulously clean. Our room was well furnished and had an in room Kurig for which they supplied bottled water to fill which goes a long way to making a good cup of coffee. The couple who runs the place was fabulous. So kind and welcoming and always at hand to offer tips and get anything we needed without ever feeling like they were hovering. They really made it feel like they were welcoming us into their home and then gave us the freedom to enjoy as we saw fit. I didn't use the pool but I looked it over and it was really clean and relaxing nestled in the back courtyard area. Definitely suggest staying here if you get the chance! read more

We celebrated our anniversary and all their small personal touches were so sweet. The privacy and quietness was so appreciated, we wanted to get away from the craziness called life. The pool was a nice quiet getaway! You are very close to Forsythe park, the free DOT transportation to head down to the river and bay st, and even walking was pleasant.
